Nvidia (NVDA) has been all the rage, but at Chip Stock Investor we’ve been perfectly content to watch Snowflake (SNOW) stock from the sidelines - albeit with an active commentary - since the hot IPO of 2020. Instead, we rode the wave passively via Salesforce’s and Berkshire Hathaway’s participation in the Snowflake offering.
But now that Snowflake stock has been beaten up again, Chip Stock Investor is getting interested. Could you do an analysis video on Palantir stock? This stock launched it IPO about the same date as SNOW. A lot of hype has been going on with PLTR as it has achieved GAAP profitability in its recent fiscal quarters. Thanks.

What do you think of Groq' LPU processors ? They benchmarked their performance in the AI inference (Groq stated they will focus so far on inference rather than training where Nvidia has a big moat) on several open source AI models, it outperformed by far GPUs ie Nvidia's GPUs. The software-led compiler seems to allow full determination of compute, memory allocation, etc outperforming by 10x to 100x factors GPUs or CPUs and the numerous chiplet accelerator designs (architecture used by Nvidia and AMD).
Their LPUs seem legit, they have already contracted Samsung as a foundry and are already have DoD and big government agencies as users running in complex use cases like nuclear reactor simulations etc
it's definitely buy now before earnings call, because genai is not cheap in terms of storage and db usage :)

im curious to see if they can leverage AI to enhance some of their business functions. ie generating SQL queries, data marts, and even visualizations from prompt. We use oracle at our company and it sucks so baddd 😄

Agreed, when you discuss AI. Why not palantir but SNOW? I never thought of SNOW as an AI stock but data warehouse. Look at Palantir won most of the military AI projects.
@@Tom-gg9pxhi tom, I’m not an expert in the field but snowflake offers a vast range of products such as Cortex and Applica, these are AI platforms that help their customers gain insight into their data using generative ai.
Atlassian is a much better company atleast their products are sticky .

I purchased SNOW early this morning. I studied it over the weekend and really missed having a report from you guys but good to watch now after the fact. I love to sell covered calls and they are insane on this stock.
Same, got in around 152 today. Been on my watchlist sub 150 for months now and finally took the starter position today. Will DCA into low 100s
the ex ceo seemed shady. Was he just lucky in his career due to the easy money policy and everything increasing? He had some nice buzz words he threw out in his book. But ditched...for that I don't trust SNOWFLAKE. Transmedics fits the bill of an early ISRG, has a Missionary founder. NVDA has a missionary founder.

There many ways of losing money creatively on stock market, and as Snowflokites have found out, snowflake is one of them....company has too many issues for my liking and their problems are not mine
