Agreeing with Luke Paul this was when FMX was a normal lifestyle and these guys had passion for it and they didn’t care if they won or not they did it because they lived for it. They made there mark but it’s sad to say that this sport is dying. That’s why we need more people like them. Enjoying life holding it wide open and hoping for the best. Life’s never gonna be this way again good days/glory days.
Damn I was 11 in 2002 I remember watching all these guys ride like yesterday true OG's of the sport, best people in the Moto industry. Reminds everyone of their own friends and family that they grew up riding with. Tight group and that's what is was about. RESPECT!
Back when i cared about fmx. These days its frontflip this double back that.. meh boring. When fmx was more then a night show. When fmx was a lifestyle
The runs have no rhythm, no flow, and nobody ever takes a second run just for the hell of it, because there is far too much at risk. FMX killed itself. Anyone who follows it today must not have followed it back during the glory days - how could you? It is just awful now.
Was this before or after his accident? The one thing I notice about watching old footage of ANYTHING, not just moto stuff but in general is that people seem to have a spark of life in their eyes that is severely lacking today. Social Media and the internet took away the excitement of life, IMO. Nothings a surprise anymore because all you gotta do is roll out of bed and look at notifications on your smartphone and you're in the know.
I used to ride at the old vmc, back in the day some dude on a old cr500 cased it on one of the dubbles and broke his back, got it on tape, Mike came over and asked to see the tape, saw it, said sad to see that, and either a week or two later find out same thing happened to him, life's a trip, rip mike
I remember first seeing Cinqmars in a freestyle video called 'Vidiots' in the late 90's. I played it to death! Ive looked to try and find it again on the internet, but had no luck! Cinq had so much style and skill! RIP Cinq
I was their age back then, a young rider working at a dealership, 3 bikes. those were the days! not nearly their level but we tried like hell lol. That crew inspired all of us across the nation
This shit is so funny to watch, I remember dressing just like that and looking up to these guys and to see this kind of footage is cool because you see that they were just the same as most of us when we weren't doing anything but hanging with our friends
I just want to post these videos raw and real so people get a good idea how everything was back then. I'm glad you picked up on that. I wasn't sure if everyone would like them but it seems like they do so far. 🤘🏻
@@dawesvideos hell yeah this stuff's cool man! What's real cool is that its behind the scenes but also stuff that even those of us who were all about this back in the day have never seen! 👍
Growing up i didnt get to ride dirt bikes because none of my friends had one and my dad couldnt afford one i have my own now , but i sure wish i grew up with friends that rode dirt bikes, till this day non of my friends ride , except for one friend
Theres more to it. He ended up falling from about 3 stories, breaking vertebra and pulling ligaments from the spine, that ended his career... Id imagine he suffered a lot of chronic pain and mental pain after his career ended. There was complications with medication. Hes an absolute legend. Rip Cinq, true pioneer of the sport. Edit, sorry I thought he was paralyzed after the crash. I just remember seeing him in a wheelchair at one point. Sorry.
@@scottsc63edwards86 Sorry I guess i was mistaken. I just remember seeing him in a wheelchair at one point but it being so long ago I messed up. His back was really messed up after the crash.
Most underrated moto content on the web. Nobody is recognizing. Yet.
That's cos kids these days think freestyle is x games and frontflips, don't know about the true freestyle life back in the day ✌
It’s kinda good
RIP CINQ 🙏🙏

Ride in Peace Cinqmars. Nearly lost it at the end... "what if he flys out and thats in the video". Thanks for sharing these memories.
Anyway you know that beat or possibly sample that they were freestyling to?
TJ Lavin came up with the beat. I'm not to sure what he did with it after everyone freestyled on it.

couldn't have said it better.
100%
It's kinda a gimmick these days
