I used this for 5 years on a Gibson j200 and I recorded with it, performed large open air Festivals to small bars and it never let me down . I ended up giving all the other gizmos away( pedals, pre-amps, ) and plugging into a DI box I managed to play around the World without a prob, it does'nt create that artificial tone that some set-ups can produce. 100% satisfied. Great with recording, DI into mixer/desk and if you want add a mic or 2 for panning.
Not sure I like the way the wire just hanging so close to the strings, does it seem to get in your way of playing? I also would like to see some controls on it say on the top hidden from sight maybe a bass and treble control. Just a thought. I like the ease of putting it in, some of my older guitars didn't come with electronics so this would be a nice add on. Great videos my friend. Rock on!
The problem is Acoustic strings are for the most pt are "Bronze" & NOT Steel The Bronze Strings Don't pick up well on those magnetic Pick-ups i.e. the Woody or the Pro Mag. Can you do one w/Bronze Stings like 99.9% of acoustic's have? I've used these when I had nothing else it does not work well live & thats the purpose in a small coffee house maybe, with a band forget it on a loud Live Stage but you can get that Acoustic song in , on board electronics w/EQ... w/a Rubber Sound hole stopper is what you will need to Gig w/ Acoustic a trick that helps is run the acoustic Gtr w/the EQ/on board Electronics thru a Boss Acoustic Simulator petal. It will make even the Most Expensive Acoustics you can buy sound More like a real Acoustic this is what I found over years of trial & error.
Have you tried making a video where you grab the guitar in a "normal" way? Maybe it would make it easier for you to play and improve your technique and sound a little

Real Nice I like that the pickup can go straight to the amp with no soldering its literally plug in play.
thanks tone king just that thing i was looking for
i left mine in for a year and now i cant get it out
Sounds good, maybe if you have time ttk do it with the onboard & see how the 2 compare sometime?
thanks again for the "woody" ;) :)
Hey , my woody pick up is awful green from the ( bronze ) strings , did you ever get to manage to get it clean ?
in Moscow i've bought it for 65$ but haven't tested yet :)
Haha he put the woody in the hole! All joking aside great vid TK. This pick up sounds much much better than the dean markley ones that are out there
Pig
is this as good for spanish classical guitar?
No, won't amplify nylon strings. A magnetic pickup works with metal strings.
Yeh, but what did. you think of it. I would have liked to hear your views??
Junk
how much it cost in the physical store? im from brazil and i only know the prices from the website, some one tell ne please.
$50_60 approx
Nice, I might get one for my Baton Rouge
Hey TK, What strings are on that Dean? Bronze?
Based on this demo the sound would benefit from a pre amp to bring a little shimmer to the top end.
Nice tone.
Is there any similar product with a volume control ?
Dimarzio
Does it work with a 12-string acoustic guitar?
Why wouldn't it?

The soundtrack under this is distracting.
Doesn't sound like an acoustic.
It’s also 30 bucks so quick fix if you need it.
