I ordered it from moto central and the version is not defined in that. But yes after fitting this space between the seat and this top rack becomes negligible but it's not causing any issues.
Hi, I recently purchased Top rack with plate (New w-1 Version-2, Product Code : ZI-8130B). Also purchased Saddle stay from Honda, Both are compatible with each other. Best part is that there are plenty of space between Rear seat end and Top rack. Hope this info help.

I have not installed any top box, but it is a sturdy thing and top box can be installed on this

Can we use this to tie soft luggage? I have viaterra 50L tail bag, will that be compatible on this ver 1 or ver 2 launched? anyone?
Of course, on one of my rides I tied a 60L bag on this and it did not cause any issue during the journey
