Gonna be fair, Ghostbusters was never just Lighthearted. It was serious even in the original. it gives you the illusion that those films were funny and lighthearted. In other media like the main video game with the original cast voicing the characters and WRITTEN by Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd who wrote the original 2 films, was a bit serious and kinda creepy like if it was a horror game but it had humor and some lighthearted moments. Overall Ghostbusters wasn’t intended to be a comedy but it happened to be that because it shows 4 normal people in situations beyond comprehension.
Interesting! We never played the video game version of the movie. I'm more familiar with the movie and cartoon, which were both comedic in tone and never really full-blown horror. I do remember some pretty decently creepy moments in the original films though. The ghost in the painting from the second movie comes to mind immediately. We definitely don't want the movie to be too silly like the reboot was, so I don't mind having some creepy moments.
@@dnjstake1728 from what I’ve heard this movie will try to be scary but it still has the humor of the original. I do recommend the game. Ghostbusters The Video Game 2009 is on the Xbox PlayStation and now the Nintendo switch and it’s really good. It’s basically Ghostbusters 3 and the villains (bosses) are interesting and creepy, my personal favorite is The Spider Witch which is a half Woman half Spider demon. I’m a new subscriber btw 👍🏼

We've seen those ones before unfortunately and I wouldn't want to give you guys an unauthentic reaction.😅 It has been a minute since we've watched any of them though so maybe we can do a rewatch. Definitely something to think about!
