First time I heard this I thought it was funny but I did not take them seriously. Now I've realized this is one of the greatest bands I've come across in a while.
Nekrogoblikon has been one of my favorites ever since I heard prince of the land of stench. Saw them live four times. One of th best shows I have personally ever been to. And they don't take it so seriously. They arnt douche bags. Fun music. Lots of talent. Cool people. It's fucking awesome. If you want to be a fuck and call it "core" or say that it's not metal then go ahead. Call nekrogoblikon pop idc. They are fucking great. NEKROGOBLIKON NEKROGOBLIKON
I love it, from beginning to end. They have a huge potential. Contrary to many commenters I love this direction, this is how they converted me into a fan. I was lucky enough to hear them 7 times in February. Instant love. I'll be supporting them as much as I can.

insane show at Salt Lake! So glad to get this signed - but I wish there were more cds to buy! Bonkers, Slimes, Stench, Goblin Island... all fantastic! But Crickets and Giraffes?!? Pretty kickass!
As well as Return To The Sky, where the cleans absolutely MAKE the song. At the end of the day if you like clean vocals you like them, if not you don't and there are enough bands that use each that you really don't have to care. It's not like it's rare to find a band that uses nothing but gutturals, so Nekro aren't exactly doing you a disservice by using clean vocals.

I think some people are forgetting that this band is, first and foremost, supposed to be fun. The fact that they don't take themselves or the song content too seriously is a massive part of the appeal. There's no shortage whatsoever of overly serious 'hardcore' metal bands, so I for one am glad they break that mold. For the longest time, the only real comedic metal option out there was Psychostick, but I have no hesitation in admitting that I find Nekrogoblikon worlds more enjoyable than them.
I LOVE these guys...! Such a creation...I have been doing the music thing for a LONG time, and impressed I am that the chance was taken on these guys...I hope they fare better than most! PowerMetal with a creepy, stupid fun, carnival feel....

I don't have any issue with clean singing. I liked the other albums clean singing slightly better though, They altered it slightly to give it a nervous scared shakey sound rather than pure clean.
I love Stench and Power equally but for different reasons and the clean vocals are good I'm afraid they might use too much on later albums and the guitar sounds absolutely amazing here
Was kinda expecting a little more chaotic mix-up of stuff (I loved the teaser). I wish the teaser was a single song. Definitely a good album though. I cant' help but sing along to Giraffe...... GIRRAAAAAAAFFE!
seriously, what do people have against alittle clean singing? what the hell is so bad about alittle harmony thrown in here or there? it enhances it and gives it a distinct personality and is what makes some of their best songs, the best.
