He was quoting or roughly interpreting what the owl said. It wasn't because he suddenly realized that the owl was too heavy on the branch. That's why Ammon asks "How do you know that?"
Rescued a baby barn owl at my uncle's place. Raised him (could have been female...? never really sure) and kept him as a pet. You've probably already figured out what name we gave the owl. 🦉
@@AnnaLVajda I'm with you. It wasn't actually shot in 3D, that makes it bad. My expectations were too high. Not comparable in any way with the original and of course with Bubo. 😍😍😍
The new movie did Bubo dirty , just tossed the little guy like he was garbage . Felt like a Slap to the Great Ray Harryhausen. After that any interest I had in the new film disappeared.
yep, not the only reason that movie sucked but a major one, their complete disdain for the original and what people loved about it was evident in their treatment of Bubo. I didn't walk out but it's the only movie I've ever had to convince myself not to.
Bubo was one of my favorite characters in the movie. Mostly what I liked about him, was the way he was able to make his eyes spin. & proved to be useful if Perseus had an errand for him.
I saw Clash of the Titans with mom as a 13 year old in 1981 and have seen it so many times after - it holds a special place in my soul and the Ancient Greeks understood these magnificent owl creatures were a gift of the gods and harbingers of knowledge - I completely agree !!!!

Perseus would have died without Bubo backing him up. Every time it was crunch time, Bubo was there. Grabbed the witches' eye, freed up Pegasus, brought Madusa's head to Perseus at the key moment. Bubo was the REAL Titan.

I can’t understand a word he’s saying? “Yeah, I told you Lois, only Harry Hamlin can understand him. You invite the owl, you’ve got to invite Harry Hamlin.” I will not have Harry Hamlin in this house
Too have for the branch because its made of gold. Wings are like 3 times smaller than a normal owl, but these tiny wings can carry this overweight owl. At least give him normal sized wings.
When you think about it, Bubo was the main hero of this movie.
He was so brave, funny and lovely. Bubo 🦉is really the true hero of this movie. 😍
Bubo rocks!!
Bubo Forever!!!
He is kind of like R2-D2 in a way.
"Too heavy for the dead branch, eh?"
"How do you know that?"
Oh, I don't know. Maybe because I saw the branch break when the owl landed on it.
Hey man thinking was hard in Ancient Greece

Bubo is so adorable. Too bad that they haven't used him in the remake. Love Bubo so much. ❤❤❤❤
They did... close to the beginning.
The remake was garbage we paid to see it in 3D and only one coin toss was three dimensional.

I was happy when I saw him in the 2010 version.

Same. That was as if they spat in my face. I hated the piss out of this movie for that, and will never watch it again because of that.
One of the greatest films of all time
I wish I could shake the hand of the creator of Bubo. They did such a good job.
I love these films at Xmas.
The atmospheric nostalgia brings me back to my childhood on those few happy occasions I remember.

Well it's Athenas owl but they had owls on their money too.

Wow...the 80s were a much more optimistic time, weren't they? XD The newer version is dim and depressed.
Now everything is dim and depressed. That's why I stay home and just watch the classics.

Thx for posting my mom loved this movie

Bubo in the 1988 version was a far better actor than the actors in the remake.

Bubo was the equivalent of r2d2/bb8 in this movie
