For some reason my eproms fail when writing half-way through every time. Not sure if its my programmer (GQ-4x4) or what. Any advice? I went ahead and ordered the programmer you have just in case
Yeah, a lot of programmers seem to struggle with the 27C322 EPROMs. I have three programmers and only one of them will program those chips consistently. Hopefully your new programmer will work better for you. Check and see if your GQ-4X4 lets you increase the number of Retries and/or the amount of time it “holds” the address it’s programming before it progresses to the next address. In the Wellon programmers, the option is called “Adjust Algorithm”. That’ll slow down how fast the chips program but increases the likelihood that’ll it’ll complete successfully.
Thanks for doing this, mine is on the way, my Top 3000 is ready. Anticipating...
Great job on this tutorial brother. I saw on the arcade-projects that you were going to do this.
Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing
Man, I hope my Shinobi is the right version!
