another great video pal morale of the story - runaway from Icos's haha
most manufacturers support read from a script tbh but as you said some are better than others

@@alanjones1301 thank you! I’m hearing this more frequently that people are disappointed with Tech, I’ve generally found them to be good and if anything, some can be slightly condescending! Definitely - see an Icos - run, don’t look back unless it’s to put a new boiler in its place 😂

😂😂😂 got to be one of the worst boilers in history
Ideal have not made a good boiler since the bulletproof Classic? only thing that ever went wrong was the fan i think i only ever changed one PCB @@RJHeating

I think the ideal icos/isar boilers were the reason ideal revamped thier whole boiler range with the introduction of the logic/independent. Once they started to go wrong it was so expensive to get them going again as the parts list grows 💸💸💸

Yeah i only ever came across 2 ideal responce boilers, dont think they were very popular but was the first one with the u shape flue clamp which was about the best thing on it🤣🤦🏼‍♂️

@@russellbaldry5095 oh did it? I don’t even remember that bit 😂 changed countless heat exchangers on them 🤯 and the flow switch was at the back left underneath the boiler with a tiny pin you had to line up by touch rather than sight - Eugh! Then they bought out the flue thermostat kit you had to drill into the boiler with!

Horrible these faults! When it's multiple issues, it feels like your just throwing parts and look incompetent infront of the customer.. when it reality, sometimes your jumping from one fault to another! I had it with a viessman.. everything I replaced a part, another fault came up, and was a 3 days waiting time for the parts, I went back with diffrent fault codes and parts each time until I had to walk away..

@@brendanfisher2528 ahhh no! I feel your pain! You get to that point where you think why on earth didn’t I recommend a manufacturer visit 😂 even the Ideal tech said on this one he would have straight away said new boiler! Only saving grace was recon boards in the first instance so they only cost £75 where I get them from!
