Not true. Even home cooks know how to cook cheaper cuts of meat. They just don't bother.

If it’s not rib eye or a porterhouse it’s simply not a steak worth having.
But a porterhouse is two steaks combined, and neither is the ribeye, so wouldn't your statement need to include the filet and the NY Strip too?

Same. I will hit my local meat market and grill a juicy Delmonico or Filet.
You can't get a dry aged, prime steak for less than $50 per serving. If you're not using dry aged prime, it's not an apples to apples comparison.
Some steakhouse chain restaurants apparently infuse cheap steaks with clarified butter/oil to “mask” the medium quality of their meat
The Roadkill is awesome. But it's not a steak. Mashed is meh.
