    Your instructions always seem so simple to do. You make it seem so easy, it gives one confidence to be able to do the same thing. NOT always easy to do.... But with much patience, your calming voice and the easy to follow directions, I personally can always complete the fold or tessellation in the end. Thank you SOooo much for the excellent videos. They are very professionally made.

    Great tutorial! I always feel more confident doing tessellations with your guidance because you always give good insights and go into detail and give good tips! I found this one a little easier when i first opened out all of the larger diamonds and then went back and made the propeller shapes afterwards. The box turned out great. Thanks for another enjoyable video and great instructions

    it's a remarkable design i must admit. some days before i saw the model on Flickr. with it saw a little tutorial. i tried to fold and failed which was obvious. now i see the tutorial here from where i started doing origami in the first place. coincidence!?! i must say you went through a lot of hard work to figure out the folding technique. it's a great tutorial. thank you very much. i will start with it in a few days.

    Not sure how long it'll be before I attempt something this awesome, but it sure was mesmerizing to watch you fold it! Thanks for all the hours it must've taken to put this aspirational material together. :)

      You can always try with gift-wrapping paper, you can usually find one that's stiff enough to fold and you get a nice color/pattern from it.

      This is a great suggestion. Another option is to tape smaller sheets together to get one large one, similar to what I suggested in the bracelet video: ua-cam.com/video/U-R3aokxpoM/v-deo.html

    someday... for sure... Sara which kind of paper do you think that would be the best one??

    • @Happyfolding
      @Happyfolding  7 років тому

      Actually, I was surprised that folding it with kami was easier than folding it with Elephant Hide. You have to be a bit more careful when collapsing the molecules, but overall, I'd recommend kami for this.

    Where do you get your giant Paper? I can only find 12 x12 paper. Could you suggest a good website to buy such paper? Thanks!

    • @Happyfolding
      @Happyfolding  7 років тому +1

      You can buy rolls of wrapping paper and cut them to size. This is what I did when I started. If you're interested in high-quality origami paper and not afraid to spend a bit more money, I recommend www.origami-shop.com or www.origami-shop.us (cheaper for US deliveries).

    It was a little hard to obtain the box, but finally I did it!, congratulations your explanations ar so clear!. But I would like to know what paper had you used to build the box? I tried with 3 different papers, and finally it was possible with the last one, but I don´t like it very much.

    • @Happyfolding
      @Happyfolding  7 років тому +1

      Congrats! The display model (black) was folded from Elephant Hide, in the video I used normal origami paper (kami). I actually found it easier to fold the model from kami, as it's thinner paper. You have to be careful not to rip it, though. Using thin, but strong paper probably works best for this. I'm guessing Kraft paper might be a good match.

    would it not be easier to start with the center and then do the sides followed by the corners?

    • @Happyfolding
      @Happyfolding  5 років тому

      I tried it before I made the video and found it to be easier to start at the edge. You might have a different preference, though.
