The options being KEM, Tata memorial, Grant, LTMC and Topiwala in Mumbai.
And MAMC, VMMC, RML, UCMS, Lady hardinge in Delhi.

Both branches have their own unique benefits. Ultimately it’s where your interest is and the college ofcourse should be a good one as your basic lies on that

If u r in a BMC setup, then the pay scale is same as any MD field. Private hospitals and labs have their own protocols for pay scale and it varies

Hello mam. After md microbiology can i open a diagnostic lab and sign hematology and biochemistry reports too along with our core microbiology reports
Any short term fellowship or course available for clinical pathology?
Yes you can sign out cbc , biochemistry reports with MD microbiology authority signature. Before doing that get trained about the basics first, by working in these sections. About clinical pathology- no such short course present. U will have to work in these departments for exposure.

Hello! Yes you can work as a technician in hospital laboratory. Thats how it is in INDIA atleast.

I was a resident at tata cancer microbiology dept. There r no night duties as of now in micro. But all other hospitals have night calls in microbiology as well

Yes after residency in majority cases u have to do a bond. Bedside teaching -well we used to take rounds with ICU people in one posting as a part of infection control

Hey I'm also interested in that subject and from the research I have done first you have to do bsc in microbiology and then you can do MSC in medical microbiology
Some of the good colleges are Delhi University and JNU

Yes a doctor (that is i am assuming you are one) can study MSC if he/she wants to.
Mam isnt it possible without neet exam , wht if we do microbiology from bsc !
Then you can work as a technician in lab under supervision of a MD doctor

How much can earn on avg.? (Not talking about exceptional personalities)
Freshers can join as senior registrars in govt or bmc hospitals… and salary is as per govt hosp which is same as any MD field. In private hospital/ lab one can join as consultant microbiologist as fresher in microbiology department. But corporates usually see experience and decide salaries accordingly

Hello i would suggest first take some experience as a consultant or registrar ship for some time and then you can start your own set up

ma'am What is the difference between Md microbiology and phd mirobiology? Can msc phd clinical microbiologist perform all type Microbiology test and do report singture?
MD is a clinical doctor who has the license to sign on all microbiology reports of patients. phd are doctorates who are not authorised to sign on all reports, Plus they cannot consult as a clinical microbiologist. They are mostly in research or industrial microbiology

Hello, why dont you try for hospitals with microbiology department. I dont know which part of city you tried to search for jobs but definitely in metropolitan cities post graduate microbiologists are in demand esp NABL requirement for microbiology labs

Clinical microbiologist just tests medicines and gives a line of treatment with respect to susceptibility. Cannot really “prescribe medicine”. But an MBBS, MD microbiologist doctor can prescribe based on MBBS alone

I would say no! Legally u cannot as a stethoscope 🩺 is used to examine patients, which is done by a registered medical practitioner.
