  • This Pest Talk video discusses the application of repellent vs non repellent products when treating German cockroaches in commercial kitchens. Especially when you are experiencing constant German cockroach problems in large commercial kitchens.
If you’ve done a repellent treatment, and when you come back, the roaches have moved to a different place. If this happens constantly, this is where you could consider using a non-repellent, for a number of reasons, which Peter will explain in the video. But note that there are some tips to optimise the application of the non-repellent which can help you achieve better results.
This explanation is by Peter from Syngenta Australia.

If it’s a bad roach problem, def would suggest a roach flush with dusts, aerosols and non-repellents

Let's say I used a repellent like Bifenthrin 2 months ago and sprayed my house not knowing this information at the time. It has a residual of two to three months. What steps need to be taken to ensure that if I spray a non repellent such as Alpine wsg. That I won't have any contaminant form my previous spray of repellent Bifenthrin. I'm at the kind of cusp of it losing its residual properties. I was thinking of using a light bleach detergent solution to scrub on my baseboards and everywhere I spray. Then waiting two days before sprying the Alpine . Would this be necessary?

Should say on the label and on the website where you're purchasing products from.
