Reaguju ještě na komentář od Thomasze:
    Tomasz Jay

''There are thousands of babies all learning these 'really hard' languages every day. If a baby can do it, so can you.'' That's what my old German teacher told me and it really stuck with me.

Wow I love it! And actually, on a daily basis I am wondering with my 2 year old - how the hll can he learn so fast, know so many words and use them correctly?! 😏😁 And he has no grammar knowledge, no worksheets, no videos, no nothing... So yes if he can do it, we can do it too!! 👍

Máš strach? Jaký je přesně tvůj strach? Často ho stačí pojmenovat, akceptovat, on odejde :-) Nebo my si uvědomíme, že je vlastně malý. Jako ta příšera v jeskyni, jestli znáš příběh :-) Eliška

Od nynějška moje denní cíl je: každy den se naučím jedno vtipné slovo, které nikdy budu potřebovat. Dneska to bylo HOVNOCUC.

Laura, I am answering your questions here 🙂
    Laura Garmendia Garcia:
Quick question, i think it really healps me to have a list of vocabulary from the language level that I want to get, and for 2024 I really want to be at the end of the year ready to start B1 czech!
    Laura Garmendia Garcia:
So I wanted to ask if you have an A2 list of vocabulary that I could have as my 2024 objective to learn?
My answer: Are you talking about the official exam (Trvalý pobyt A2, občanství B1)? Because what is important to say is that the only reason why you would be spending time on learning vocabulary according to a level would be those exams. Otherwise, we always learn vocabs based on our goal - if I want to talk to my family in law, I will need different vocabs than if I want to have a job interviews in Czech.
If your goal however is the exams, could you reach to contact@slowczech.com? I will ask our 2 tutors who focus on Czech language exams to share the necessary information with you 🙂

The problem is that when you speak a language you don't know well yet, you as an adult have to minimize the ideas you have in your head and speak as a child. What you really would like to say - the more in-depth topics and suchlike - is out of your reach. That is VERY frustrating!! 😡

Yes it is. I agree. I remember my bad French some years back. I wanted to watch TV in French but the TV receiver was not functioning and I would appreciate repairing it. What I said was that the Antenna was sick. TV off. They understood of course but I felt stupid. And I noted mentally the correct words so that next time I would be able to say them.
Anytime I would get into an uncomfortable situation, speaking poorly, it would actually help me not to repeat the mistake. Because the feeling from this negative situation was so strong that I remembered the French!!
It might work for you, too. But we need to encourage ourselves and show our vulnerability on purpose.
I encourage you to try. I am sure you can do it! Aand it is worth getting rid of your frustration emotions 🤞✨💛

🙂 Thank you for your words of encouragement, Eliška! Yes, I know, frustration is just another word for impatience, and it seldom resolves any problems. It is a generally acknowledged fact that when it comes to learning a new language, the process does take time. I will try to make patience my middle name! 🙃

Proč tak vážně? Learning and using a foreign language is a journey of lifelong learning. And as long as nobody's life and wellbeing depends on my czech skills, approaching learning czech with some ease and humor makes this much more enjoyable.
And those little failures like a "sick TV antenna" are adorable and funny. I heard a french guy who wanted to go to the toilet and said: "J'ai envie de faire pipi." He translated that word for word into german which sounds so funny with his french accent. My native French teacher, had a student who once said, when talking about winter sports:"Je suis autrichienne, bien sûr j'adore CHIER. (instead of skier, because in Austria the pronunciation [ʃi] and [ski] for the word "ski" is used). I also said in the pharmacy: moje hlavenka dělá AuAu. And guess what, the very attractive pharamcist understood me and more importantly started laughing.
So overall, approaching those inevitable failures with a self ironic attitude takes pressure away.

@@TheChiesa This sounds as a wonderful step further! I know that you will make it! I am now practising the "ease" in my parenting/business life. And the best advice I have receveied is, after any action I do, I switchthe emotion into ease and tell myself "Oh, that was easy!". ANd it is actually working. Just rewiring the brain :-) Sending warm greetings from Brno, Eliška

@@seanranieri3816 Sean, thank you very much for your words and sharing. I agree with you 100% and I am the same. I dont mind making fun of me, my husband is French, I am loosing my French living in the Czech republic, but I am always able to explain him what I want, describing the thing or emotion differently. And I find it natural even with other people.
But I would like ALL THE CZECH LEARNERS to have this courage! I want to help them, support them, inspire them that once I was there, too. And that the way we "normally do things" is easy to switch but needs determination. My husband is like you naturally, he didnt have to learn it, he dosnt mind using super broken and funny Czech with anyone as soon as he is understood. And my will is to show to as many people as possible that this switch is possible for everyone 🙂
Posílám pozdrav! And I like the pipi and chier moments you shared :-))))
