I've moved on from the heartbreak of knowing that their story will not be filmed until the end as in the novel. Now I am happy to rewatch this episodes. It feels good to reminisce the love story of GH and BLY, one of the best BLs

It's good it ended there because guess what? Right after that in the book, Gu Hai kidnaps BLY due to his jealousy and then rapes BLY while his hands are bound to the bed. It's a horrific scene and ruins the whole book.
Most cultures have certain words of respect towards an elder. The English word "sir" doesn't quite hit the same because it's so general. A 60 year old receptionist uses it as a standard greeting to whatever age male is standing before her desk asking for whatever ...

Those who were Knights of a Royal Family would have Sir in their title, and it was a very Respectful and respectable term. Now, yes, it is so generic it's basically a paperweight. I think that's why in English it's not just the Word, or even the Inflection/Tone, but how often you use a certain term as well. Like a friend's mom might be "Mrs. G" at times, while other times it's the full "Mrs. Godfrey." It's culturally tricky in a way because those learning English as a second language tend to sound overly formal at times because almost every other language and/or culture has more important (and used as such) varying pronouns and words of respect whereas in English we've squandered them all and instead of a magnificent Verbal Yacht of Respect we have a Wordsmith-It-Yourself Leaking Dingy with some Duct Tape holding in the word Sir.
I wished they continue season 2 with both Johnny Huang, Timmy Xu and all the original casts ... but I read somewhere season 2 is a completely new script with new actors. Even though I am disappointed, I will probably give season 2 a chance.
