Even Juggernaut can’t punch his way out of that (since I doubt the whole Trion Juggernaut thing will be taken into account, as that was a one-time occurrence).
Art the clown enters Gotham. He will befriend Victor Zsasz. But will end up fighting Joker or Penguin before meeting Batman. Art would hurt penguin businesses by scaring off customers while the joker would see art as a copycat. Joker is not a big fan of copycats.
Realistically, Joker WOULD find a way to get rid of Art forever. Joker would absolutely NOT tolerate another Killer Clown taking up Batman's attention, and he does not have the same restrictions as Batman.
Honestly locking him away forever would be even worse than death. No more fun, no more enjoyment, just silence…forever. Very fitting indeed for a monster like Art.
Art can go into a state of dormancy.. He'll just wait.. 10.. 50.. 100.. or even a 1000 years.. sooner or later, someone will mess up.. Something I never see anyone talk about, Art's victims frequently stay alive WAY longer than a human should, unless he is done with them, the victim can't seem to die, no matter how much they'd like to. I truly think he feeds on their fear and pain in some way.
I think it's just a more realistic depiction of getting murdered tbh. Horror movie audiences have been trained over the years to believe people are more fragile than they are. People can survive some pretty horrific injuries, even if only temporarily.
Then he has almost no play over Batman. Yes, his parents' deaths scared him, but he's tackled his own fears to the point where even Pennywise would fear him. Art has only one chance at beating Batman: Direct confrontation. Although that might not work out given that Batman's not just some random dude, but the physically fittest and most skilled martial artist on the planet. Batman took on more physically challenging foes like Killer Croc and Bane, as well as managing to at least shove Darkseid. Art would get killed, put in cell, and kept away

Every immortal but weak character weakness is a good steel box without any oxygen windows in it. It will die, reccurect, cant leave it and suffocate in it and reccurect again in a loop for the end of times. And just to be certain that box can be put at the bottom of the ocean so even if he somehow escaped it, weight of the ocean will crush him immediately.

If we’re looking at other killer clowns. I’d be interested to see Batman have a contingency plan for Needles Kane (aka Sweet Tooth) from Twisted Metal. Needles by himself is an imposing physical foe with some skill and cunning, not to mention his weapons like his machete and shotgun. But the real ace up his sleeve is the Sweet Tooth truck itself. It’s a vehicle that I could see giving the Batmobile some competition. It’s well armored and filled to the brim with weapons, shields, cloaking, and in some versions can transform into a mech. I just think Sweet Tooth would be a fairly interesting and unique opponent in that regard.
What I love about Art is that he is what a real life Joker would be like, obviously without the supernatural abilities. His sadism and need for an audience is exactly what I always envisioned the Joker to crave. Art just always seems like he’s having the best time of his life. That’s what I see when I look at the Joker. A sadist and narcissist who wants the entire world to look upon his works. The only thing Art is lacking is a Batman figure and then he would be the Joker.

His sadism and need for an audience is exactly what I always envisioned the Joker to crave. Art just always seems like he’s having the best time of his life. That’s what I see when I look at the Joker. A sadist and narcissist who wants the entire world to look upon his works. The only thing Art is lacking is a Batman figure and then he would be the Joker.
