Rest in peace Charlie! You will be missed!
Such an amazing Man, song writer, musian true American, and Child of God.
1978, I was stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky. That was the first time I saw CDB and I have been a fan since. From the drinking and pot smoking days to the time when God turned my life (and Charlie Daniels life) around. God bless you Charlie....
A TRUE AMERICAN he is missed
RIP Charlie Daniels. You will be missed.
One of the best songs ever !
How on earth have I missed this song until just now. November 26, 2021 is the first time I ever heard this song. I have loved "Devil Went Down to Georgia" for decades but somehow I have missed this song. Unbelievable. GREAT SONG! This would make a great horror movie! RIP, CD.
He is still going strong. Loved his music for years.
My Dad moved our family into the mountains of Eastern Oregon in the early 70's. This song, through late night FM Radio defined me. Now, I am a retired Neuroscientist, and these Charlie Daniels songs taught me how to teach students through storytelling and music. I learned to play these songs isolated in the Oregon wilderness with family fiddles and weird Les Paul I wired into my mom's Sears record player as an amp... I recently learned that my relatives have a history of cutting up perfectly good guitars to make them better (Huge Smile). God Bless Charlie, Les, Tom and All musicians for music innovation, because ....Damn!
I was at this show I was a sophomore in high school 2005 and I believe the judds played that night as well. Hell of a show. And hell of a man.
I saw this band 6 times in my time and he never missed a beat.
I could always visualize this song when I hear it . See the swamp , Lucius Clay & the Cable Boys ...
💕💕💕💕💕👍👍👍👍👍loved all he's song's
Classic County Music
RIP thank you for the lifelong memories of awesome music and great shows
Bummed to hear of his passing but at 83 man what a great run! And the music CDB made will live on. I still have the 45 record. They always put on one amazing show. Cheers dude! Thank you so much for making some of the best music ever.
One of my favorite “ghost” songs.
underrated tune and album (Full Moon)in the 'Southern Rock' pantheon. Classic story-telling.
