I’m so sorry you had many cancellations. 😭Please consider a cancellation policy. In US (where I’m from) and Japan (where I live) all beauty shops/nail salons have a charge policy if you cancel less than 48 hours. Also, you can get a small sign to put outside that says “Walk-in available” when you do have back to back cancellation so people walking by can get nails done maybe even a discount because its limited-time.

Girly, I don't know if you have a cancellation policy, but you should set up one if you don't ! In the U.S. it's normal to charge half to full price of service. You can not lose your spots like this. Clients should learn not to cancel last minute❤ Life happens but most of the time is truly not a crazy reason for cancelling! Loved your story of how you started your small business
I have a question: Have you ever thought of setting up another small table and hiring another nail tech to work with you? 😍 I feel like you do have space for 1 more person. Or that person to handle all the pedicures so like this you can have more appointments everyday.

Omg, we opened the salon at the same time, I opened 4 days before Covid hit and everything had to be closed, i was so sad, but almost 4 years now ,it's going great. Love that you shared your story with us. Greetings from Croatia :)

In Thailand, some shops will ask for the down payment, not much around 5-6 USD and if you come as per appointment, they will deduct this amount from the nails painting fee but if you don’t come they will keep this money. But of course, you can change schedule by informing in advance at least 2 days. I think this might work for you to avoid the cancellation?

Thank you for sharing your story. I always wondered why you became a nail technician. Also, I agree with some of the other comments. If you don't have a cancellation policy it's best to create one. I know that it is not normal to have one in Korea, but people hate losing money so they will more than likely not cancel their appointment unless they really have to.
It's not easy to have that policy in Kr. But thanks for your comment 💕💕
I was going to say that here in the states we don’t get to start anything much early. Especially cosmetology, I could probably find more and I could probably find some that would let you start early but they would be trade or hard labor jobs.
So congratulations on finishing school, going to beauty or cosmetology school,then opening your own salon. But here he don’t don’t always have the support of our parents like that either. Most times our parents have it in their mind what they want and if you dont want it then the arguments begins. 😅😮

Me identifiqué muchísimo con este video, soy dueña de mi local, no es algo enorme pero muy similar al tuyo 🤭 incluso tengo los mismos servicios... me pasa así que cancelan, a veces tengo 0 citas y me hago las uñas de la misma manera que tu, lento pero seguro ❤ apenas voy a cumplir 1año y no tengo mucha clientela 😢 pero confío que es parte del proceso y que pronto podre mejorar mis ingresos y vivir de eso 🎉
