Where there's mist and fog, mountains, valleys and streams. The land where mountains float, like the Christmas trees at Marina Bay Sands. The land of your birth ❤️
@@SingaporeCityWalks 😄 Hunan Especially Zhang jia jie is another slow living world for sure. I have never been to there actually but I know it’s one of the most scenic places in China for sure. The food there is always good as you probably already tasted the preserved smoked meat and other spicy dishes 🌶️ Chong Qing is also famous for its flavourful food and cute pandas 🐼. I am excited for you and your wife’s journey already 💜

such an honour to feature president tharman officiating the christmas lighting-up along orchard road! i could have stayed longer in sg from the long deepavali weekend as the decorations were not lit up yet after i came down to orchard road last sunday.of course, the lights look more colourful than the one at the MBS. let's hope that there will be more christmas-related activities like carolling happening outside the malls like ion orchard whenever christmas gets so much nearer.
President Tharman was very down to earth, stopping to greet and shake hands with people. I could sense that it was genuine, not a PR act in front of cameras. Orchard Road was very colourful and there was music at several spots along the wide pavement. The buskers were having better collections as people were in the spirit of giving. I hope the the malls will have more Christmas related activities too. I will be travelling in a week's time and will miss many Christmas launch activities by the big malls. I will miss the first few days of the biggest event... the Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay.

Orchard Road is Singapore's iconic road and I look forward to film it during Christmas every year. Lot's of activities are planned this year. There will be 3 Festival Villages (there used to have only 1 previously) and a street party on Christmas Eve where the road will be closed to traffic. Oh the doggies! By the way, when I was in Manila, I noticed that many people go shopping in the malls and eateries with their pet dogs. I noted that the dogs had to wear diapers. Zhangjiajie is 6 days away and we have got all our winter stuff ready. Thanks for your good wishes 😊

Very artistic lighting, but not very Christmassy this time. Yours is the second video I've just watched where the ambient sound has had to be removed in part because of copyright reasons. Making UA-cam videos becomes increasingly hard! Your new camera seems to be doing an excellent job.
It's still early days in Singapore for Christmas activities. In December, crowds - locals and visitors, will descend on Orchard Road and the Marina Bay Area. The Christmassy ambience will come naturally then. I replaced 2 ambient sections with royalty free music as I expect this video to travel far and reach a big audience. Royalty free music is not 'free' as I have to pay for the rights to use them. The cost is affordable. My new camera handles night scenes extremely well. The bigger 1 inch sensor lets in more light making the night scenes brighter with natural colour. The brightness/contrast problem of my Pocket 2 that you mentioned before is solved. However, the focussing problem remains. Whenever a person walks close to the camera, it automatically focuses on that person, blurring the background. When that person exits the scene, the blurry background takes half a second to re-adjust. When filming scenes with people everywhere, e.g. Food Street scenes, this problem gets annoying. I hope there will be a firmware update to solve this.
