  • The finish on this body is actually Bengal Burst, and NOT Tiger's Eye as I said in the video. By this point I've been stuck at home in my covid-19 bunker watching Tiger King for far too long. To see all the Roasted Maple necks currently in stock, go here: www.warmoth.co...

    I've really grown to like the Warhead headstock shape. I've seen a few variations of the Fender headstock shape over the years, some bad, some good, and some indifferent, but Warmoth's take on it is excellent.

    I purchased one of the roasted flame maple necks to replace a high end "F" neck I used on a build. I hated the "F" neck, but LOVE the Warhead. I use roasted Warheads now on almost every build I do. For a more basic guitar, I pair it with a rosewood board. On a higher end build I opt up to the flamed & roasted with ebony. But that first one has a purpleheart board since it is paired with a "S" replacement body in trans purple over mahogany. The warhead is my favorite headstock of any guitar brand anywhere. I even had it added to my J bass necks. Roasted for Life !

    Hey Aaron
    It's me again! I just wanted to say I never refer to my Warmoth guitars as part casters. I always refer to them as Warmoth custom builds!!
    To me part casters sounds so cheap. I bought one of those 300$ kit guitars and knew right away that was not for me! I gave it away to someone who I don't even know that well. Not sure if they even did anything with it.

    • @johncbeer
      @johncbeer 4 роки тому

      I'm right there with ya. My first bass neck was an original '66 J-Bass neck that had been Jaco'd. As it had a rosewood fingerboard, it eventually wore down too much to play it as a fretless, so I keep it for nostalgia. I had Mike Lull replace it with a Warmoth maple neck with ebony fingerboard. The tone absolutely beat the hell out of the Fender neck. Seriously no comparison. I could not be happier with Warmoth builds.

    I love that property of Chatoyance in maple. It makes the wood seem alive. One of the drawbacks of A certain big manufacturer who is identified by their initials, is that they dye the Chatoyance right out of their maple. Granted, their maple is still undeniably beautiful, but it's so much less alive because it no longer pops at the correct angle of view.

    Hello Mr. Aaron!
    Excellent share care, as always, much respect and appreciation! Well, on the subject of Warhead Stat roasted maple necks. With an order of such, would there be an increase difficulty rating on an RMN and RMN, fingerboard to have a post Warmoth luthier (due only that I didn't see that option on Warmoth Mobile site), to install offset, Z pattern 3mm inlay dots? My concern is only (obviously, I don't know my woods or inlay setting process), on the subject of hardness of RMN wood.
    P.S. My apologies if my inquiry is inappropriate on this platform and being slow out the gate,if your unable to respond, no worries and Thank You!!! Smiles Always!

    I have a question about a warmoth boatneck I purchased some time back. It's one piece roasted maple. Is it safe for me to sand the back to slightly change the shape? I've heard that the truss rod location varies with the neck shape and don't want to sand so much that I actually run into the truss rod.
