Such deep gameplay, no wonder I was so hooked as a kid. I didn't understand half of the features back then, but it was an experience to experience and learn them firsthand.
Glad you liked it! I have a script written for the original P1 tama, but the project is a little too much to take on right now I'm afraid. It will be finished some day :,)
That's quite the honour, thank you! I'm interested to hear how you found the video, were you looking for a V4 guide or just happened to stumble across it?
just uncovered my tamagotchi v4 from the basement. this video has so much love put into it, i thoroughly enjoyed watching it. the music is well composed too. i never knew anyone else with a tama when i was younger, so i wish i knew someone like you growing up! hope your tamas are healthy
dude i know its been a minute since you uploaded but these are seriously incredible, you could write on all the new ones like the tama watch or the rare ones like angelgotchi,, your the literal pinnacle of such a niche community and itd be amazing seeing more cozy and informative content from you!! really nice watch and incredible vid
What a spectacular video! Wonderfully written and narrarated, and the visuals were just brilliant. Great job! And, as a Digivice guy, I must say: MY GOD IS THIS DEVICE AWESOME! I hope that someday Bandai gives at least half of this amount of care and complexity to a Digivice. I'd love that!
Just picked up a V4 yesterday, secondhand, transparent dark blue shell with yellow frame and antenna, and green, white, and yellow stars. Totally thrilled and surprised it has so many more features than my V5's. Awesome video all round!!! Thanks very much! Like others, I will be keeping my eyes peeled for similar videos of the other versions.
I haven't played my V4 in ages and my goodness I forgot how involved and fantastic this version is. I think I'll pop some batteries into it now. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I just restarted my v4 from 2008 and this video was perfect at explaining all the things I didn’t understand as a child hahahaha I loved the music as well!
I've Recently been on a huge Tamagotchi craze and decided to add to my collection. The V4 and V4.5s are my favorite tamas, its great to see a video on them!
Wow! This video is incredibly underrated. You are so, so creative and inspiring! Also very insightful and kept my attention the whole time. You deserve so many more views and subs!! :D
This is such a lovely and well-made video! V4 is also the version I remember the most from my childhood. And I'm currently in this phase where I want to relearn everything so thank you, it was so enjoyable to see someone else to be in love with this old toy
This video is amazing!! The animations look so simple but communicate so much detail, I really appreciate all the care and effort that went into this video. I recently dug up my v4 from 10+ years ago, and this video really helped me remember how to play since the manual is long gone, thank you for this!!
I appreciate these videos so much! I recently started collecting Tamas and have been having a hard time finding comprehensive guides. These videos really help, thank you!
i love this video! just got back into tamagotchis after not playing since childhood. currently consuming every ounce of tamagotchi content i can find. LOOOOOOVE this video! amazing guide and adorable visuals!
I’m Amazed By This, The Discipline Icon Is Useful When Your Tamagotchi Is Sad. Reminds Me Of How Mametchi Gets An Toothache In The Anime. I Could Also Say The HL Dubbed Anime Episode (Toothache Fever) Where The Mames Do Not Get It, But, Most Of The Residents Of Tamatown Do.
i usually don’t write comments on videos, but idk why i felt so compelled to do it on this one. later last year and into this year, i’ve been in my tamagotchi phase. i got two of the original reproductions (one V1 and one V2 for the different games) and they kept me sane at my minimum wage retail job for quite a while now. after a while i got kinda burned out of the basic care and would often forget about them, but then bandai announced that they were remaking the tamagotchi connections and got incredibly excited again. i always wanted a connection but everywhere i looked they were always so expensive, luckily these new 2024 ones were like $30 on amazon so i instantly preordered one. i bought new batteries and everything to charge up my original V1 and V2s just so i can get my fix while i wait. the new connection arrived yesterday for me and i was very excited. ripped it out of the box and then quickly found myself pretty overwhelmed honestly. for one, i was super stoked about being able to name my tamas (i didn’t look into connections all too much before then so the smile that stretched across my face probably made me look stupid) and the bigger shell and buttons feel soooo much better than the original ones. but, i skimmed through the manual and my brain started to turn to mush. there were so many more buttons and things to do then i was used to !!! wdym there are 10 now !??? you can discipline AND PRAISE now ?!??! THERES A WHOLE SHOP…!??? it was a big upgrade from the original but also pretty scary. i tried reading through wikis but did not make it very far, then i opened youtube to see if anyone made a video going over the mechanics of the connection, and here i am now! the information in this video is INCREDIBLY HELPFUL, especially when transitioning from the base tamagotchi into the connection line, i know the new 2024 ones have a few tweaks (for example im pretty sure all the games are different) but they generally seem pretty similar to the V4 gone over in this video. i was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this video, especially from a fairly small channel,, LIKE this video deserves at least 10x the amount of views it already has. i was upset to see that this channel hasn’t been uploaded to in a while, i really think it has a lot of potential (but that could just be my bias because i am a big ol tamagotchi nerd). thanks for helping me understand my tamagotchi connection a lot better :) and i hope to see more from this channel in the future maybe !!
I’ve been curious about the older tamas since I got into the M!Xs and Meets and they seem soooo fun from your video! I definitely want one super bad now!
Thank you. I love this. I just ordered a replacement V4 as mine stopped working. This guide has me super excited. Please consider doing guides like this for the other tamagotchi versions? I would love to see them.
Hopeful that replacements arrived by now, I'm a little behind on my comments. :) I have been working on a follow up, but the production is a little too much to take on right now amidst the pandemic. I've written about 90% of the script for the original P1 tama, so I'll come back to it one day, but I can't say when.
Such a great video. Also love how complicated this tama is. Came here to understand my entama better, but came to realise they are a bit different… would love a guide for that one too, thanks!
I have a v4 and a morino coming in the mail! After I got my On about six months ago I dove headfirst back into my childhood obsession and I’m thriving tbh
I had a connection as a kid and it was my first tama... sadly I never got very far and eventually lost mine. I've gotten back into tamagotchi and now have a gen1, gen2 and uni :) But I'm planning on finally getting a connection again
Even though i have played almost every version, own almost every version and currently am running a couple of them lol, i still want more videos like this from you!!! Perhaps do some other models!?!
Where did this UA-camr go? These videos are great and I would love to learn more about Tamas this way. Hope they're OK! really great guide. Also, I'm the same. Every now and then I get the itch to play Tamagotchi again. I've just bought a new Gen 1, have pre-ordered a Hello Kitty Nano, and pre-ordered a Tamagotchi Uni.
If you go to the old tamatown.com website you'll find a Tamagotchi Discord invite link where there's a TON of fanatics and collectors :) Great community that still LOVES these things!!
Omggg in the 5th grade I had so many of the v4 and it became quite the trend in my class. I remember I kept one alive for so long and when it died I was so upset I was crying. Looking back, I don’t think that was the best idea for a kid (a life and death simulator) but it did teach me how to be responsible. Also, I remember having the pink Angel Gotchi as a little girl but don’t remember playing with it
I love your Tamagotchi videos, thank you so much for making them. Also the music. It is lovely and it's so wonderful that you offer it up for free use too ☺️
I got puchitchi with an overall score of 27 skill points Not entirely sure but I’m almost positive it is nearly impossible to reach 60 points while your tama is a baby. Love this video btw!!! Keep up the great work!
I enjoyed watching this video. I hope you can make a video similar to this but talk about Tamatown and what users could have done for their Tamagotchi! My favorite was Music City (V6) because you were able to walk around like in a MMO and gain experience for your CD.
You aren’t alone! 😂 my stepdaughter got one for her birthday and guess who’s got it, haha, me. She likes it but doesn’t play with it as much as it demands. As soon as I saw it I was brought back to my childhood. We have a mini. I believe I want to get another one but boy I really love it and it keeps me going lol too cool
the amount of effort and love put into this video is extremely disproportionate with how many views and likes it has...... i hope that changes :)
Such deep gameplay, no wonder I was so hooked as a kid. I didn't understand half of the features back then, but it was an experience to experience and learn them firsthand.
This was great, would love to see you cover other tamagotchi versions in this style.
Glad you liked it! I have a script written for the original P1 tama, but the project is a little too much to take on right now I'm afraid. It will be finished some day :,)

Thank you for giving back 🎉 we're still here!!! Another version would be great!
