wow, watching this was so kafkaesque. I'd just like to take this moment to empathize, but more importantly to acknowledge the ability to appreciate how inspirational this roundtable was.
Sooo true, and the fact it's a roundtable really says a lot about our planet, our world. The roundness of it honestly. And i think that says a lot about capitalism and our modern society and how circular it is, the roundness of it all, you know. Like nature, like how the great live action lion king said, the circle of life is... it's present you know?
I'm graduating class of '24 from a film school this spring, and this is so accurate to some of the students that it triggered my fight or flight instincts! Thanks guys, I hate this :)
I really appreciate them touching on how tough it is out here in Nova Scotia, it’s hard to get things done when it’s always day and I’m behind on my breathing fees.
This episode is so eye-opening. It is fascinating and there are a lot of important moments to pull from this particular aspect of the discussion. I was so moved by the remark of the point that they were trying to make at that part when they hit the nail on the head. It is so important to express that. I think the creativity being expressed within these works are so important to social aspects and that was fantastic to see from all the graduates. Great work class of 2024.
Saskatchewan used to have a Film employment tax credit that provided up to 55 per cent of the labour costs in film and video productions. The province decided it was costing too much and fucked over the industry here. But at least I got to walk by the filming of Just Friends in Moose Jaw when I was a kid 😂
For me, this was entertaining and hilarious. Thankyou. I can't wait for Can Of Stuff to open! I feel like it will really project femininity into a space predominately reserved for the more masculine narratives of humanity ya know? Anyhoos, my pretentious ass is outta here... 😂 🎉
I'm literally brute forcing my way through an art project rn and this is my way of forcing myself to take breaks. You can ignore me, but here’s my reaction to this as an artsy Gen z with film maker friends lol Me seeing the title, as class of 2024: idk if i want to see millennials do an impression of artsy Gen Z but I'm one of them lmao *clicks* Kylie: Gobsmacked. Me: OH God- Updates will me made through the video lol 2:24 Why do i love this title,,, based on the title i want to watch it. But i would get it pirated, because I cannot afford that fee. 9:08 I also enjoy the professional demeanor with slang casually mixed in,, I’ve met people that talk like this. NOT THE SITUATIONSHIP LMAO 19:14 Medical friends with benefits? We would. 29:00 gen z respecting previous generations??? Neverrrr lmao I finished the ep,, found out these are actually the rich kids I met at a private school. Don't know what happened?
“friends with medical benefits” is INSANE i cannot stop laughing
i had orientation for a new job this week, and i swear the person running it was just patrick doing a character
Like, commanding subjects of conversation and feeling like they had to talk about themselves all the time? Must've felt like a colonoscopy

This gives midsized town film festival Q&A energy
I really appreciate them touching on how tough it is out here in Nova Scotia, it’s hard to get things done when it’s always day and I’m behind on my breathing fees.

Sitting through this whole conversation (would be) Kafka-esque.

also LOVED last week's episode and i wonder if the reason it drew so many new people in was the edited 'the view' thumbnail!
This is one of the best episodes yet lmao
i need to know where on earth patrick thinks nova scotia is 😭😭😭
These filmmakers having such reverence for improv made me chuckle.
Can't wait to watch this. It's gonna be epic! Also obscure comicbook authors should be one, if it hasn't been done yet! ❤

This podcast makes me feel like nothing is real
This is the podcast for people that pretend to be interviewed like they're celebrities at 3am out of boredom
Watching Can of Stuff, I mean the writing was on the up-floor, you know?

My brain is refusing to believe people like these actually exist out there in the wild.
Ugh I hate breathing fees
