So I just need to keep doing that and it should be okay! Right? With the website it feels like things are suppose to be a bit more professional but that's not me. I want it to feel comfortable, like I invited a friend over for a cup of coffee or to hang out and art! So thank you for your words. Sometimes it's good to hear that, as a reminder. Very cool! I think it's good to go back and look at older stuff to see how we have progressed. And to remind us of techniques we liked, but forgot about!
I enjoyed the flip-through. I liked seeing your different styles and how some changed over time. I noticed that in my journal and wasn't content with it. At first I wished I had put like styles together in their own book. But, seeing yours, I appreciate the diversity that bloomed with the creativity.
How fun to see the visual journey as your skills progressed. UA-cam certainly loved it as they put a commercial every second page. If it hadn’t been your channel I would have gone elsewhere as it was sooooo annoying. Make sure to rest sweetie. Holidays are crazy enough without putting undo stress on yourself. @@DeniseLush I totally get that - I have 5 journals in diff sizes with only my big Dylusions one nearly finished. (I started it back in March.) I love that size and format! I'm going to order another one. It really takes acrylics super well, doesn't it? Your fold-outs just blew me away... seriously. I have gotten a little more brave with cutting it up...mostly lace PaperArtsy pages 😁 They are so fun to do. I've also done a few tip-ins of watercolour paintings. But big time cutting hasn't happened yet. I've been following your tutorials and have made two journals myself 😊 I am proud of them. You've taught me so much these last months! I should send you a therapist fee! Lol xo

I just love flip through videos! Your journal is beautiful. I enjoyed seeing variety of styles and techniques. The fold out page was amazing! I'd love to see a video tutorial for that! Loved the Newfoundland pages too. My in-laws are there so we visit frequently too. Well, when it's not a pandemic. What part of the province are you from?

I think this is the only flip through video I have as I don't tend to finish an entire album before moving on! lol It won't be long before I'm ready for a flip through of my small black Dylusions journal though!!!Been flying through that one. My husband and I are from two small communities (Gambo and Hare Bay) but you're more likely to have heard of Gander where we were both born. lol
it's been a looooong time. I think I just made flaps, attached them and then folded them like you would a cardboard box to keep it close. if you try that and it doesn't work, let me know.
I have this exact journal and it absolutely killed my creative mojo. This flip through is great. I loved it. I think it has given me the push I needed to finally finish my journal. I only have about 10 pages left; I started it back in 2017. The one great thing about the original Dylusion journal is that it has gotten me to write more. I started off with diaries in grade school and then eventually moved into art journals. Maybe I will find a way to combine them. I was wondering if you make your cut pages with a craft blade. Are you using a template and then cutting it out?
I usually make my own art journals out of 8x10 canvas board and 140lb watercolor paper. I don’t know what prompted me to buy the Dylusion journal, especially since my handmade journals fit in this C&T Publishing canvas bag and the Dylusion journal is too big. Normally my basic art journaling supplies and my current journal are all portable because I keep them in the canvas bag. Makes for easy travel or journaling while my kids play in a park. Changing my set up was a mistake. I don’t know why the Dylusion journal killed my mojo. Could just be a coincidence, and it’s really just a less productive time in my life. I do know that Strathmore watercolor paper stands up to my typical media choices better. I have had to be careful about not accidentally making holes in the journal pages.
I hope you get your mojo back! If you're referring to the wavy lines, then I used the Dylusions journal acrylic block. If it's anything else, it was just me.

Do you stamp directly onto the page, and then fill with colour? Or do you stamp on a separate piece of paper, colour, and glue on?
For the most part I stamp on paper and then glue it on. But if it's something in the background then sometimes I may stamp directly into my book.
Do you seal your pages when they are done?
