You're right, the design nowadays is a disaster, I grew up in the 80s and 90s, my grandpa drove a truck and I had the diesel virus in me, but nowadays trucks look disastrous, it's no fun anymore

How far away from the legendary W123 do they have to move, to remember, what icons in quality once lect their production? Truckers like the VNL‘s from Volvo and the Kenworth Prime Movers - for NOT having ugly marshmellow looks - and even more, offering a work- and living space, respecting the truckers daily needs.
I have to agree with everyone else’s comments on this truck. It is a very ugly and disappointing looking truck. I’d prefer the previous generation any day of the week. Very disappointing and disgusted with Mercedes to come up with something like this.
De Fiat Multipla onder de trucks... Zonde om te horen dat ze bij MB denken dat een ruimere cabine niet nodig is, terwijl het marktaandeel van DAF er op wijst dat de transport meer comfort en ruimte wilt.
The design-crew had the task: „make it look like one of our battery-powered cars“ but keep using the construction parts under this fridge-looking-body. Why does this sad looking thing, reminds me on german football-team outfit for this years euro championship (EM)? 🤔
The wheel holders just need to focus at guiding the truck from A to B, and what's inside the truck. It's outer desgin is great for the truck owner, that want's to have lower milage, lower air resistance. The German trucks typically are mostly about getting stuff from A to B, with okay comfort for the driver. The fleet owners cares less about the looks. If one more want to show off, have more luxuary for the driver, yeah Volvo and Scania is likely top of the line. But not everyne care to pay the extra.

I think I'm going against everyone here I think Merc needs to launch it in a bold colour and it would look a lot better but what I disagree with Merc is not extending the cab it's just going to fall further behind Daf, Volvo & Scania and please scrape the skinny cab just lower the wide cab and give it a small engine hump the narrow cab now is just a thing of the past really it's only Merc & Man still doing narrow cabs you hardly see any narrow Ivecos now .Please Merc stop now with the narrow cab

A truck is a utilitarian vehicle. If this design leads to better fuel economy, they should implement it.

Daf xg was designed with the driver in mind as a driver we need the space in the cab not what mercedes is saying to cover for their poor design
