Uno spettacolo di maestri! Ho potuto vedere Pasquale dal vivo con il suo trio a NY e parlare con lui. Grande musicista e persona ancora migliore. Grazie per la sua grande musica. Salute 🥂
Pasquale is SO good! You are both such great representatives of this lovely style of American music. Thank you for bringing it to us with all the love and attention to detail it deserves!
Rossano e Pasquale siete fantastici! Grandi!
46:43 & 47:13 I keep coming back to this ep, such a high level of musicmanship and what a duo! I can't ever get enough and over how 46:43 Pasquale does that run (not sure what its called, dissonant? If anyone knows, please educate me) and then Rossano 'replies at 47:13 in two octives. Too good 😂😲
Around 6'09 Grasso played (GCDEbFGbAbBb) over Cm7, then (BC# EbEAbGbDbEb) over F7, then (FD) over Bbmaj. Anyone knows the theory behind the Cm7 bar and 1st 2 notes of F7 bar? million thanks!
he plays a tritonic substitution so he plays B7 instead of F7. the principle of a tritonic substitution is that the third and seventh of the first chord (F7) become respectively the seventh and third of the substitute (B7).
Wow! You guys are world class!! Slow Boat is one of my favorite tunes. Your Yamaha always sounds great. Is it a U2 or U3? Always very well tuned as well.

I love it s much! This is absolutely amazing!!!
This complete level of fluency and mastery of the idiom by both players is extraordinary.
I'm gonna steal this 1:06:16
Awesome! Would be greatest thing ever to hear you, Pasquale and brother Luigi sometime playing together.
You can hear them all play together on the Fat Bro's Quintet record from around 2008 or so. But yes it would great to hear again!
Amazing as always! Do you think you could please play the Yardbird suite sometime? Let me know if you've already done it
That tune was written for Irene Del Sasser according to a few sources she and Sam Jones were very close friends.
Thank you so much for the information. I did not know the meaning of the title.
@@RossanoSportielloMusic My pleasure! You guys are beyond fabulous. I subbed you in hopes you will do more in the future!

Over C minor chord, it’s mostly the Dorian scale with a flat 6 (Ab). Over F7, it’s mostly the altered scale (Gb melodic minor).
#11 and #5 over F7 are the first two notes for that bar
