Edit 1: I have come back from the exam and I feel good as I wrote everything I needed to I think. However, for some reason I’m always unlucky in English. I think I’m gonna get my results some time next week Edit 2: I GOT A 7. I’m so happy. I’m normally not that good at English exams for some reason but I got a great grade and my analysis got the highest marks possible for the AO2. Thanks so much.

the squiffy point at 1:16 is pushing it a little bit for foreshadowing and I think you would struggle to write a good essay para on that point alone. However I get that maybe it is good to add in addition to a paragraph you are writing.

I’ve not seen any other videos myself, so let me give you some general advice: 1. you should watch all Literature videos (mine included) with a critical eye, not just accepting what you hear to be true but thinking carefully about whether you agree with the points being made. Watch the videos with the text in hand, checking quotes and seeing if the ideas presented are backed up with textual evidence and make sense. 2. It is possible to analyse a character in two totally different ways, with neither being incorrect. For example, in ‘Macbeth’, you can analyse Lady Macbeth as powerful or powerless, and neither is incorrect! Learning a number of different approaches can help you to broaden your analysis skills. I hope that helps
this question is irrelevant but in my school we do aqa and some english sets r doing sherlock holmes (sign of 4) and some sets r doing chirstmas carol , well im doing sherlock homes but is there such thing as an english foundation because the sherlock holmes book im doing it for my yr 11 gsce
@@s_8737 the teachers choose the book they prefer. Some texts like Dickens are way harder to read. Dr J and Mr H is very dark sherlock Holmes is easier than both. They're in the pre 1914 selection. An inspector calls is post 1914 ("modern"?!?). Students whose first language is not english are likely to do Sherlock H as it's easier to read....
It should be applicable to all exam boards. The only thing to check is whether context is assessed on Eduqas. If it is, then everything will be relevant.
