Despite what they say, I can’t see the Ellesmere Port plant being there for many more years. This government doesn’t seem to like manufacturing, not conducive to the mythical “net zero” concept.
I agree with one of the comments on here I think Stellantis is the new British Leyland and I cannot see Vauxhall being around for much longer maybe except in Van Form, I could be wrong. An informative vlog as always sir.
Very sad, sir. Stellantis' (and PSA's) strategy for dominance seems to have been to purchase as many brands as possible and then worry about the huge duplicity headache later. Well, we're now very much at 'later' and it's predictably very bumpy when seeking to close down very long-established factory plants like Luton.
Yes, it's not looking good for Vauxhall, is it? As you say, far too many brands with a certain degree of overlap in many markets. I really hope both Ellesmere Port and Luton survive.
Interesting Joseph Stellantis is considering the North America MD as the new CEO not decided yet Stellantis are reducing the prices of Jeep and Dodge by up to 35% to combat falling sales I doubt from what I hear that Luton will reopen which is a shame good review best regards Andy Allen.
Stellantis is another British Leyland. Lots of midrange brands pushed together, competing with other parts of the same company. It will go the same way as BL. Massive overcapacity and falling sales.
…..I’m sorry to say, imo Vauxhall - all of it - won’t be there much longer. Other manufacturers are already screaming and some taking drastic action to survive, eg, Honda & Nissan. They are going to be forced to make things that the majority don’t want….electric cars & vans. Which is why 2nd hand values of petrol cars specifically, especially those brands & models noted for their longevity, are going a bit crazy. People are buying those instead of new electric. Meanwhile gov rules stipulate less & less ICE cars to be made each year, pushing more people, toward 2nd hand market. This is not survivable. Plus we have UK financial crisis looming and energy crisis as we nearly run out of gas….we are close to having power cuts. This is not survivable. And as long as our leaders, regardless of who they are, continue this route, it will only get worse.

We will have to see, sir, I suppose. Thank you again for watching and commenting!

Yes, Vauxhall's sales have dropped again in the last year. I hope they make it!

Yes, I hope that I am wrong about the closure at Luton, but I suppose we need to be prepared for the fact that it might happen...
@@lloydvehicleconsulting Well lets stay positive Joseph Luton as such a long history of vehicle production Andy Allen.
That is right, sir.

It's an interesting comparison. Vauxhall's sales for 2024 weren't particularly impressive, actually. We will just have to see what happens, won't we?

We have the video on Honda and Nissan coming up very soon, sir, don't worry. Let's hope Vauxhall make it!
