- The India Literacy Project teamed up with Google Earth to help teach children about India’s historical landmarks, and Local Guides are helping. When you share 360 photos on Google Maps, your great shots also show up on Google Earth to help people explore the world. Watch to learn more about the project’s mission and see how your photos could end up in the classroom.

When I first joined the Local Guides program, I thought the same thing. But afterwards, I realized that there are many Google services that use the concept of badges. Your profile photo can not carry those many badges 😂. But I think that your profile (accessed by people via services like Hangouts) can have the badge list.

This is amazing. They should also teach them a bit of English language because most students in the universities have issues communicating with people from outside of India due to their lack of education in English language. They should be advanced, it helps to be bilingual. It's an advantage
