Miele Touchtronic W3033 - Washing Cat Carrier

Washing a friends cat carrier in the Miele Touchtronic W3033 washing machine. This carrier had never been washed but needed to be cleaned. I used Purex Plus Oxi and Zout, Fresh Morning Burst scent. I added about a tablespoon of Clorox Gentle Bleach just to sanitize the load since I could not wash this item on high temperature.

For some reason on my new Miele there is no water coming out from the inlet at the top of the seal. Instead it fills water from below. Is this due to water pressure issues or washing programs?
