I finished my holiday shopping early this year. I found a giant squishy plush Grogu (baby Yoda) at Costco for one of my kids who collects giant squishy plushies. Got a cool Elder Scrolls hat for her fiance, as he's into Skyrim big time. And for my oldest and her roommate, I got them both gift cards for Steam. And for my youngest, a gift card for Nintendo e-shop so he can buy a game on his Switch.
I refuse to go shopping in December so do it all in November. I have a list on my phone of what I'm buying in the correct order of how the stores are set out in the shopping centre! I do a Secret Santa with my partner's family but we all buy something for our nephew.
Online Shopping plus No Risk except you still get risk because sizing is never sure. Also 30 day returns is great! except… not if it’s a present and you were following the advice to order presents early to avoid overwhelming the posties during the Christmas rush so… good thing Christmas is no longer as much of a big deal in my family now there is no longer any little people because yes it’s not Christmas but you are getting your present to try on now anyway. Also I’m doing an unofficial ‘sample’ pack in which I buy one of a bunch of things and then you tell me what you like so I can buy you more of that thing later rather than buy you a bunch of the same thing before checking it’s right.
I wish I didn't have to get presents for all the kids. Family are just popping kids out like bubbles and expecting the price "goal" to be increased each year. I don't even have any kids!
Do one for this year, 2 types of people doing Christmas shopping, the one's that are banned have a deadline to meet the one's that got the shot in hospital for Christmas, the lucky ones who got the shot having few side effects can go shopping but still the shopping can't do late night 24hr shopping not enough people will be able to go.
I go to the shops on Xmas eve just to watch people freak out and stress; I'm a bad person who is easily entertained.
