l liked some of his movies, he was not a great actor, but he was given some fantastic roles and he lived up to them. However, much like Charlton Heston he was a bigoted man with deep hatreds that he attempted to keep away from the public man. These two men left lasting legacies, but not as human beings.
……Charlton Heston served in ww2. He wasn’t a bigot. He was a fantastic human, husband, father to his children. He was an excellent actor. It seems you’d never met the man, & been in lengthy conversations’ with him, & his wife, which I had on very many occasions’…………
Wayne DID have a chance to enlist. John Ford tried to get him to enlist but Wayne always had an excuse. In reality; he didn't want to damage his career, fearing that an enlistment hiatus would cause people to forget about him. This did, in fact, affect some actors like George Reeves. It's actually alright, but the problem is that half of his career was war heroes . . Just don't watch his war movies. Only watch his westerns.
John Wayne was an awful man and a worse actor. "Beloved"? not by anyone who's still alive. Remember when he threatened to beat up Shasheen Littlefeather? Charming.
I'm very happy if you find this video useful. If you are not satisfied, please let me know, thank you very much!*
Couldn't listen long enough to hear who it was or why. Really boring.

I am looking at the man differently did not realize he was racist 😢😢😢
Love Charles Bronson mmmm
Speaking truth,
If it's the truth --
Is NOT hatred. ❗
I guessed I missed the part about who he truly hated.
Clickbait strikes again.
I have to give this one a thumbs down because you stated something in your title and did not address it.
John Wayne played every character as John Wayne.
Can say that about virtually any actor. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
John Wayne “Life is tough, but it's tougher if you're stupid”
Must be really tough then for those folks who voted for Trump this week then.
John Wayne was in the army, but only in the movies...
Thank you
In army basic training in the early 1970s, we were explicitly warned to not act like John Wayne on the battlefield. Vietnam was not a movie.
Thanks for sharing your perspective to everyone. Why do you think that "Vietnam" was not a movie?

You asked a question, what was the answer.
did not learn who he truly hated more than anyone
Nice content
Wayne always played himself in all his roles. Just different names to his characters.
Thank you
Cliche response.
Charles Bronson, a decorated veteran, Hated John Wayne intensely, because John Wayne was a well known draft dodger during WWII.
Wayne was too old to enlist. He was not drafted therefore not a draft dodger.
Wayne DID have a chance to enlist.
John Ford tried to get him to enlist but Wayne always had an excuse. In reality; he didn't want to damage his career, fearing that an enlistment hiatus would cause people to forget about him. This did, in fact, affect some actors like George Reeves.
