Grippingly good. Super good story & narration. Thanks for the generous collaboration that brings this excellent audio book to this listener & to an appreciative audience.
Excellent book, excellent reader, and thank you for putting it on UA-cam for me! I have migraines since the Covid vaccine and I have a lot of downtime. Since I can’t do my things that I like to do ,I just quietly listen to these beautiful books.
I ENJOYED THIS THRILLING, PSYCHOLOGICALLY GREAT STORY. THE NARRATOR DID A FANTASTIC JOB. AND I LOOK FORWARD TO MORE FROM THIS AWESOME AUTHOR SUZANNE REDFEARN.....THANKS TO ALL FOR SHARING!!!🙂
One of the Best audiobooks I have listened to this week ❤ however a warning about SA and DV would be a good idea for next time you post an audiobook alot of people....me included.....have a past history of these things and it can be triggering for some ❤ thanks
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Just wondering why he wasn't jealous of her with other guys . They usually accuse the woman of sleeping around to justify the abuse. Even if they are innocent.
Despite the good narration, the story is completely wonky. So much so that, at first, I thought there were two different women. The story doesn't settle into itself. She's frightened out of her wits at home and then morphs into a completely different person at work with absolutely no connecting link between the two. She acts and admits, throughout the book, that she has no maternal instincts, no apparent feelings or love for her children and then she goes and runs off with them ! Why ?!! There's no planning, no destination, no money, like an empty minded teenager who has no sense of right or wrong and no idea of consequences. It's silly but you listen to it anyway because... Thanks ! 🙏🇧🇷
Halfway done with this book and I love it so far anybody got some more suggestions on any more good books like this one or any good ones to find a good one all the way through
I wanted to like this book because a lot of it is raw and honest about domestic violence but it is so very drawn out and the main character is so frustrating. I thought the narrator was pretty good but there's so many parts where she does this wavering, crying voice which grates on me like nails on a chalk board... I had to fast forward through it. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5.
Kind of disappointed at the whole story plot she couldn't have gone to an abusive center to help women like herself and not drag her kids driving around in the heat with no money I just feel the ending also was so abrupt instead of working itself up to getting to how he took the child and now he removed the other children
Say what? I guess you weren't paying attention because he was a cop and had his brothers in blue helping him every step of the way. Also, he tracked her every move, so she would have been a sitting duck in the women's shelter, possibly putting other women in danger! Also, you have to remember that this is a work of fiction. The writer wanted to keep the story going and if the main character was safe from the very beginning, then the story wouldn't have had any twists, turns, climaxes, or a happy ending. All in all, it's a decent story.

Like half way through, and it is good. But god it's hard to root for unintelligent main characters 😫

I really enjoyed this book. My only criticism is that there’s no mention of Gordon’s family at all. Was he an orphan?
this is a good listen, but it takes forever to get to the meaty parts of story,so much fiuff and needless details.
Thanks, from malta europe

A SA trigger warning is needed 😮

Why didn't she trade in her car
At this point I am wondering why she decided to drive with the kids after drinking.
She didn't drink!
Caught her off guard I guess
Sounds like it was a glass and a half of wine
