I'm literally over 3 years late to reply to this comment, but it's got enough likes on it (and the video itself enough dislikes) that I should acknowledge what's the deal with it! First off, this was one of my worst guides, even at the time. I don't want people to read all the excuses coming and think I'm trying to say it was all outside of my control, cause it wasn't. I struggled to make the guide, it came out a full week after I had pretty much done all other 11 course in a few days. Just a hard course, and there HAD to have been some burn out accrued. Also! I just didn't know the demand from the community would shift from "lowest score, no matter how crazy", to "just get me my par achievements". Two new hole in ones on a course that had already been out a while was an achievement. It's hard to contextualize that properly. Had been making guides for this game for a few years already, so this shift really did surprise me. Even when this pinned comment was made, the course was a year old (4.5 from me writing this reply). And for anyone that doesn't know, when the game gets updated, the physics change. It's seen a decent number of updates in this timeframe, wrecking havoc on all guides from everybody who has tried to make them. There's a reason not that many people attempt guides for this game, even with how popular it has been in the past. A lot of your work will get rendered useless whenever the next update drops. And especially on the hard courses like Volcano where getting consistent setups that will work for everybody every time is a tall order, it's just unattractive to even try. I'm just a dude that does this as a hobby, and GWYF isn't a game I've regularly played for a long time now. So, it can be quite a mental grind (relatively, it's still just a video game, lol) to go back to courses that you've already played a thousand times and try to find something new, only because the old thing you found has been changed for the 9th time, and not because you wanted to see if you could improve it. I would like to release final, comprehensive guides some day. Until then, I have to hope people can still get anything out of this guide, despite the back 9. As it might be weirder to see I have guides for all the other courses. Though I will change the title. Sorry to anybody that used this guide and struggled.

wow the new Deep update totally changed the physics on this course somehow. The hole 18 strat doesn't work anymore cuz the rock doesn't give any bounce

@@Ghostzapper i know its alot to ask for but if you remake the video for this course could you maybe do it in a way that makes it consistent for less skilled played to still get below the par score mainly for achievements. Im only left with this course and even with your very good guide im failing it over and over again and getting somewhere between 7-15 above par every time :/
Your other guides are great. But this one is really due for an update. Especially the latter half of the holes seems to just... kinda suck with these setups. Also the first hole seems way more consistent if you go for 3.5 power.
If you were to ever update this guide I’d definitely try to go for easy setups over trick shots on this one. The problem with trick shots on this course is if you screw them up they’re VERY unforgiving and ruin going for par.
This is likely my least popular guide for any game ever. My guides in 2020 were still for the hardcore base that wanted to see the best score, no matter how many shots it would take. So to be able to produce multiple hole in ones in a single go on a course that had been out for a while, was an achievement. There's a lot of reasons this guide hasn't held up. But I can admit the main one is it wasn't all that great when I released it.

First two times I got to hole 14 with a decent lead, I did your first shot and the bounces I got ended up getting me stuck behind a wall and I couldn't get out without forfeiting the hole. Just decided to play it safe and do it normally when I got there a third time.
Apologies. There just seems to be slight physics tweaks with every update, the more specific the shot, the more likely it is to not work whenever the engine is updated. Best part is that it went unchanged for like 3 years (2016-2019) before this started to happen and the mods of their Discord said it wasn't happening. Anyway, glad you just played the hole normally, people get mad at me when I suggest to do that. :D
This is definitely the toughest one. You should pass on the last one tho it just doesn’t work. Do it normally. If you do everything right you’ll have around 10 extra shots for the last one so that’s enough
This guide isn't good for par. Far too many random elements involved and some aspects aren't even the same in the more recent update. Avoid this one if you're trying to get par or better!

This one will need an update, my friend. Hole 13 in particular ruined 3 runs so far, I decided to just play it normally. Hole 18 is just demonic and even playing it safe is miserable as a final level, lost a par run by one point.
For anyone trying to get the under par achievement, don't even think about using this guide. Even if you do manage to hit some of the 1-in-100 miracle shots, many of the others are just flat out wrong (maybe due to the game being updated). Note that the final score in this guide is 488. That should be your first clue!
There were 3 shots that I said were impractical that made up 450 of the strokes, and was pretty clear that they are tough or ridiculous. Everything else went pretty smoothly. So while I understand frustrations, pointing to the 'final score' is a bit disingenuous. Saying that. The game's physics change/changed everytime the game is updated, so it became impossible to keep up with what would break each update. That's why there (probably, anyway) aren't any up-to-date guides. We all got sick of spending the time to find the shots and make the videos for everything to be undone by the smallest change.
This guide will not work with the 2022 version of the game. Several holes are completely different now - I followed the guide three times and for some holes my shots weren't even remotely close. Some holes do still work though...
Well I followed this video to a T multiple times and my ball isn't going anywhere near yours on some of these Holes. My ball is going through solid objects and it's all landing on invisible barriers
Unfortunately, after most updates, these guides become outdated. Something in the physics gets a small tweak and the ball stops going where I show. Going through objects isn't even atypical. Shame what has happened to this game's polish. Sorry the guide is out of date, but remaking them after each update stopped being fun. Good luck out there.

Hole 7 & 12 are defo brand new and awesome. New 7 was gonna be horrible, but that 12 felt so obvious looking at it now haha. Hole 11 is exactly what i've been trying to get someone else to grind lol. Sunk like 500 shots into it but never got the right direction. Now 13 is interesting. You said you've got it in. Did you hit an invisible wall or something? Reason i ask is because the Portals are supposed to be consistent. Because of that, i figured there was no point in going for that shot.
Only had gotten in before Official Release, hadn't even tried since that. And I got a weird interaction with the portal on Hole 6 before, so chalked it up to that type of thing. But obviously new physics way more likely to be the culprit.
Ah fair. I haven't tried it on the latest update. Might grind it another time. These black holes be adding so many RNG holes that I'm gonna have to grind one day lol
This course is horrible on console. Input lag making time based and jetpack shots impossible, fucked up physics differences that cause random bounces or way higher power or random moments where the ball will gain resistance and refuse to keep speed up
Physics breaks every time they update the game and unfortunately the sheer amount of time and updates that have happened since this video. Almost surprised that even 8 work anymore. This one was one my most downvoted guides, even when it was accurate. It's just a hard course :X

I had a tough time with this guide you're better off just playing the holes as they appear if you want to get par, especially on 12, I was watching the guide as I took each shot, got to 12 and was like man you can't be serious how tf you expect people to make that, like 1 in 100
There have been multiple physics changes to mess up about every guide for this game. And there was a big shift in mentality when the game came out for consoles around the time of this video. PC players only ever wanted to see the lowest score no matter how crazy the shot. Since there is no equivalent to Gamerscore/Trophies, etc. Now that I know that most people just want easy pars, I would account for that, but at the same time. Whenever the next update comes, it'll change the physics again and leave the video pointless, kinda like this one.

Need to add a caveat to this guide. The general idea to get to the holes is okay, but your lines and power are not the same as on console. For whatever reason, there are minor differences that makes this guide not work.
Starting like 3 years after it came out on Steam, every once in a while there would be an update that would slightly change how the physics of the game worked. In 2020, it became that every update there would be small changes, and I just couldn't/didn't want to keep up with making the same guide every couple months or sooner. There are 3-4 courses that really stand out as being off. But even though the game doesn't receive updates very regularly anymore, as soon as it does, any videos I make to 'fix' these guides will be invalidated, too. I'm sorry that people aren't having a great time with my guides anymore, lots and lots of hours went in to finding all the shots. And I know they're frustrated cause other guides don't really work, either, for the same exact reasons. I wish I could give comprehensive guides, but the amount of work vs. all being undone in the next update has kept me from redoing everything. Plus, just felt scummy to remake the same thing over and over. Sorry for the novel, I'm just as frustrated that the game kept changing as the people that find these and also find they don't work. They can see that it at least used to work, but doesn't any more. Which is worse. Good luck, though! I know people just want their par achievements and the like. Hope you all can still get enough from these to be useful.

Well. No one cared about Par Achievements for the first 4 years of this game's life. People only ever wanted to see the best possible score, no matter how ridiculous. The course is hard. Is generally among everybody's Top 3 Least Favorite in the game. And the game's physics change with each new update, changing tons of shots on every course. Sorry the guide hasn't held up after 2 years, but like you said, it's still relevant enough up to a certain point. I'll be updating everything after the next update. They are just really tight-lipped on when that is going to be. Sticking to "Soon", even though it's been like a year and a half. :/
Guys this is not needed for the platinum trophy. If this course pisses you off like it it did to me just skip all the whole to get the participation trophy. Par is not requires as there is no par trophy for this particular course
probably the worst map they've ever made. such low margin for error and riddled with RNG. if you aren't getting fucked by all that then they'll throw in an invisible wall or random asteroid to fuck with you

The course is hard. Is generally among everybody's Top 3 Least Favorite in the game. And the game's physics change with each new update, changing tons of shots on every course.
Sorry the guide hasn't held up after 2 years, but like you said, it's still relevant enough up to a certain point.
I'll be updating everything after the next update. They are just really tight-lipped on when that is going to be. Sticking to "Soon", even though it's been like a year and a half. :/

Guys this is not needed for the platinum trophy. If this course pisses you off like it it did to me just skip all the whole to get the participation trophy. Par is not requires as there is no par trophy for this particular course

probably the worst map they've ever made. such low margin for error and riddled with RNG. if you aren't getting fucked by all that then they'll throw in an invisible wall or random asteroid to fuck with you
