What are your thoughts on stopping traditional strength training for a month to focus on cardio conditioning through 3 day a week Hiit training while also on a moderate calorie deficit to reduce body fat?
Hi Christian! That's a great question. So i have found that any expert that has worked with clients directly will tell you that that won't be the most optimal way to reduce body fat simply because you're going to be introducing a higher stress form of exercise while simultaneously getting rid of that exercise that's going to help you maintain muscle. When you're trying to diet down, you want to hold onto as much muscle as possible because that's what's gonna make fat loss way easier. Cardio ultimately isn't the best tool to use for fat loss. Time, though to focus on some cardio conditioning is a great idea, but I wouldn't do it when you're in a deficit. Your body will adapt to cardio quickly and it's gonna try to get efficient at the movements and one of the tools that Will used to do that is getting rid of muscle. You'd probably be better off, just sticking with a three week strength training program for the month while you're doing the moderate calorie deficit. That's gonna get you the look that you're probably wanting.
The 10,000 steps a day goal is awesome though! honestly that's gonna be the best form of cardio for weight loss. Just light easy to recover from activity while you're also lifting weights.
I think it depends on where you are at on weight. I think if you are a decent amount overweight, losing weight initially faster is good, and then slowing down when you are getting closer to a better weight. Think it is better if you are only looking at 10 or less, to do it slower. Also, homemade pizza...... better get some next time I see you!
@@DadBodFitness That I need to stop putting so much pressure on myself, be patient and I don't need to workout hours a day. AND that you look like a super hero with those abs.
Yes!!! So true. Super cool that you are seeing that. I had it all wrong for years, takes so much less than we think. 🤣🤣🤣 well thanks dude, I don't feel it but I appreciate that
Do you think it's better to lose weight super fast or slower?

Right that's a good point and typically people who are very overweight will notice faster weight loss initially. Yes!!! I should definitely make it!
THIS IS SO GOOD
Sweet thanks dude! Truly I appreciate that
