I have listened to 1995 blue devils more than any other person in the history of the world. Thank you for the semis performance it's the best recording of ever heard
TENGO! TENGO! TENGO! still my favorie tenor solo of all time. Tenors come out after the snare line plays giant legato hrrrtas & it's like the cage is open & the tenors come out & shoot fire! DRUM CORPS FROM THE ISLES OF MORIAH more like it.
(Triplet roll seemed cleaner in this run) going to amend my comment. Did this today (3/21/22) With left Air Pod only, dirty AF, right Air Pod only, clean.
@@jeffe_77 It's hard to tell as the Finals recording suffers from the same weird distortion. However, the finals judges tape is clear and it does have a very clean triplet roll. It all falls apart at the last monkey drummling bit, which is insanely hard.
No it wasn't. This was our worst night of finals week and single handedly what lost the almost undefeated season for us. What you're noticing is a better recording quality.
I'm still mad we cranked the tempos up for finals week. We should have done no such thing to capitulate to judges who were planning to screw us out of our rightful championship, they were going to do it no matter what. We should have stayed on the field blasting and beating and dancing for as long as we pleased. One of the best corps ever.
@@MS-df2fk LOL "lucky to beat Madison"? They weren't even close to TYING us that year. I loved 95 Madison. One of the most energetic shows in Drum Corps history but they did not execute as cleanly as the top 3. Even they would tell you that.
Bro this is so much better than that travesty they call drum corps these days. You have no clue how unbelievably loud and in your face the elite horn lines were on bugles.
All these years later still one of my favorite shows. It was so fun to watch live.
Nepolian Dynamite...Lucky!!!😮
Was so pleased I got the chance to watch this show live,I toured DCI that season with a corps from here in the UK.
When a competition was a Competition! The drive, dedication and passion was amazing back then. RIP Chick Corea
Having watched it live, the sound at 7:16 still brings tears to my eyes. Plus that ending was full ON. Such a great show.
This was never one of my favorite Blue Devils shows back then, but I'd take this ten times over the garbage that they are doing today.
Best Blue Devils show ever!!!!!

Amazing how much better this sounded over Finals when the audience shut the hell up. Case in point 9:46

This is a wildly better performance than finals night. Especially percussion.
I listened to the Finals tape. Finals was good until the last 30 seconds or so, but not bad.

This wasn't semis btw. It was Quarters.
never noticed before but their warm-up chord sequence was in a minor key this year.

95 BD members may be the saltiest of all time. This was a great year for DCI and you all were lucky to beat Madison. Get over it.
Omg! Cranking the tempo during finals week? It doesn’t feel like enough time to really adjust to the tempo change.
I marched VK that year, you guys were undefeated all summer... until Quarterfinals
I loved you guys show that year.

Why is the recording so much better than finals? Cesario’s intros were always…interesting
Like taking a bath in chocolate
G bugles....mmmmm
I love the as a matter of fact way the person says I smell smoke at 1:56 lol blue smoke!
This feels like two summers ago.

Always thought that the gold lamé flags weren’t right for the opener. Transparent black with purple would’ve been cool.
spooky/10 would haunt 👻
Full throated lol
Percussion in reality - 1. BD, 2. cadets, 3. cavies.
I heard the finals judges tape 1995 some time ago, a lot more dirt in that tape and Cavaliers clearly deserved the drum title.
Anyway you can share that? For us old timers?
what is that all about, bring bacl real drum corps
