Fred M8Beats I tried out his normals but those sample combos aren't as practical as the one's in these videos so I waited.

and combinate the launchers, with screws and stuff on your own, i think this is the most fun part,
but you're right, these are much better combos, as i did find myself ':D
For the combo at 10:00 if you do a ws 4 instead of the up input you'll get 3 more damage on the combo
The reason you may not want to do a ws4 is if the CH db3 hits off axis. Which it sometimes does vs side stepping opponents who hit a button. Also, I think at max distance, the ws4 will also whiff.

For the ended off of the ff3 combo @ 3:20 you can also do ssl dash 1+2,2 f1+4
Actually you might not need to dash
for anyone having trouble doing CD1 after CD2 like I had: you have to press 1 FAST when doing CD1, don't do CD slowly like other movements. AK wavedash cancels as soon as you press the button, that lets you do some stuff superfast, like his chain throws. I didn't know that and I was hitting the CD1 off axis all the time. Hope this helps some people.
Hey mate im having trouble as well, so press it like an electric? On the frame? Or is their a cancel animation im unaware of haha
@@billyhoyle8257 it's a bit weird to explain, you do the CD1 motion but as soon as you get to DF press 1 as soon as possible without letting go of DF

Atm 5:56 you can do 2 df1 for extra 3 dmg also no need to dash after ss 2,1
I’d recommend the 3rd combo then when you are comfortable with that try the 2nd combo

A good wall combo to try is cd2 f1+4 fhcf1 (not sure if my last notation is correct but the move is Muscle Driver)
Rage art has the potential for big damage like a giant swing when AK is cornered. Normal usage is just normal throws (for now)
You mean rage drive? Cuz you can do RD into giant swing in the open
His RD is mediocre. Range isnt good, the priority is inferior to most RDs and it is a high from CD. And that remains AK's key flaw, his best moves are highs & lows, so opponents do tend to duck a lot.
Can always do cd into wr1 when they start ducking to launch

Found a good one, probably been done but I haven't seen it. CD2, 4, CD1, DF1, DB+2,4 , ISW ends up being 84 dmg. and the isw isn't too hard to hit.
too bad you were in rage when you found that sick combo, and it actually does 77 damage
anyone else thinks its kinda weird he can get so many hits in before the screw? I can't usually get a 70+ damage combo unless theres a wall involved.
Best wall combo I've found is a simple 1,2 Jab into ground grab (2+4) which gets you a free gaint swing.
But ground throw is a mixup and 1,2 into ground throw works only with highsplatted opponents, in every other case you do 1 or 2 jab into ground throw.

0:48 how do you do the cd2 directly after cd1?
There's a setting in practice mode called "recovery ..." (sorry I forgot the name lol) and what it does is show you when your character is free to do an action. *Turn that on.* Start the combo with the cd2 and look at Armor King, the moment he stops flashing blue, you have to input cd1 really fast. Start inputting the cd1 AFTER he turned back no normal. The timing is really tight and you will have to practice it for some time. After a while the timing will be muscle memory to you. Any more questions, stoner?

In the 8:54 combo you can fit in DF 2s after DF3 for 69 DMG total.
In 10:12 combo after CH DF3 do WR4 then DB2,4

you have to do it on the earlier frames after you recover, it's pretty difficult tbh

Two dark uppers in a row is fucking hard. And even if i hit them, i'm too far away to hit the following punch
So ws2(ch) gives me more time while opponent is in crumple or is it strickly timing? I'm just having a hard time understanding how cd2 is coming out that quick. Are you inputting cd while charging again and hitting 2 once it's over?

I have a question about that part of a combo, when you do a db2,4 then running towards the opponent and doing a mid-air grab fff2+4.
How do you time your grab, or run to be able to catch him mid-air?
I tried the combos with that mid-air grab in the end and i was failing all the time to grab him mid-air in the end.

I just picked up AK and after playng mostly Claudio and Kat his best combos seem pretty tough, especially The ones where you need to do cd1 after launcher. Also, regarding the first Combo; After I do 2 dark uppers in a row the df1 always whiffs. What am I doing wrong?

JonttuVincent idk how you input the down forward but press forward and hold down instead of all the commands
Linking his cd2 into a cd1 or another cd2 takes some practice. You must input the cd1 or 2 quickly, but at the right time. The timing is less lenient on cd2 into another cd2. If you mess that up, some followups can miss like your df1 and the db2,4.
Try turning on recovery mode in training to see when AK is actionable after a cd2. A visual cue that helped me was to try inputting when AK's elbow just about returns to his torso. Also, practice. Took me like 5 days to make cd2 into cd1 into muscle memory. cd1 in general is a very powerful followup after launcher. Try doing it after CH df3 and now uf3. You can even try it from normal and delayed hopkicks but the timing is extremely strict.
Yeah I tried picking him up cause he's such a cool character but his execution is on the tough side.He's not even a strong character either so it feels like the reward isn't even that great.

When you get the 2nd ki charge, do the cd:2 by doing a cd but hold the d/f and then press 2.
Can someone help me with the iSW i just can't do the running 2+4
F>F>F+1/2 would do the trick since the output is still the same after pressing two F's you could press the last F and 1/2 at the same time rather than doing the manual F>F>F>1/2
Just buffer the first forward while recovering from db2,4 then press f,f,f 2+4 this works for me

Cd1 after cd2...just how??? AK runs under them, beside them and it never connects. The remaining hits are also very inconsistent

I'm having a hard time transitioning [ cd2 to cd1/2 ] on PS4 pad /probably just me who suck at it / same goes for other characters with similar transition with [ f,n,d,df / d,df ] :/
SkytorRush Try practicing it on the opposite side? I play on stick and I can't get two cd2 on the left side for shit, but I hit it damn near every time on the right side (also still quite new on cd). But see if that is more comfortable to learn
@@kappacake3147 it will create a bad habits, what if you someone will do side switching throw or you will play offline? Practice on both sides, i had troubles on p2 side cuz of that. If you start playing on both sides from the start it will help you big time.
Egrassa 1 True, I was suggesting it because it has been helping me learn and get a better feel for the move first before I practice for the opposite side, I can get cd on p1 side almost consistent now
I don't think it should still be called "instant" shining wizard, you used to do it buffering from a bound move. but now all you need to do is run then 2+4

When armor king is in this charge animation input cd2 and that's all, it's easy, no justframes here. You do Ws2 hold up a bit and then do CD2.

It’s a ws 2. If you hold up right after you input the 2, then it will do his ki charge, to which then you can do the secret dark upper.

It's strict timing, so it will take practice to get any consistency with it. It will be even harder during the match. And even extra harder online.

Different latency of online play require different timing of inputs. The higher the better of course. Try double tapping f when latency 5 and triple tapping f when latency 4 just when your opponent hits the ground. Also, recommend map 2+4 to a shoulder button so its easier to execute grab
