Im from MD and i went crabbing with my father in-laws old boss twice and he would tie fresh chicken on the rope and roll it in a 5 gallon bucket and a couple loose pieces for the pots and put the lid on and left it in the shed for a week and a half to 2 weeks man that was some stinky stuff but caught more crabs then ive ever caught just stunk
