Tom has the most dogshit takes about Josh Allen because he is a moron who can’t look past one stat. He’s a fucking moron who overrates his team’s QB and underrates literal greatness since it isn’t on his own team
If we use logic and reason, Mahomes isn't even a top 5 QB in the league right now. We never used to mindlessly attribute the achievements of a 53-man roster to the success of an individual position the way we do post-Brady. The thing people don't get is that it isn't JUST the fact that Brady has 7 rings, it's all the context that goes around it. It's the way he proved that it was he that was responsible for long term success and he cemented that by going to another team and getting them a ring. Mahomes has not done that. He has some flashy stats, but stats are meaningless without context. This is something people always used to understand, but sports fandom has been so dumbed down and simplified by marketing that people can't look past the bare surface level bull and just guzzle down hype. Think about it this way, people act like winning a third Super Bowl makes Mahomes untouchable. Meanwhile, he only managed to score one TD in regulation ONLY BECAUSE OF A MUFFED PUNT! Had it not been for that, the Chiefs would have put up 4 field goals and lost. The Chiefs defense and special teams did their job by keep them alive and Mahomes couldn't get the job done. They managed a game winning TD drive with short passes and runs to finish off a season defined by the Chiefs defense being one of the best in the league while the offense was mediocre at best. The previous season wasn't much different, but that season was defined by obscenely bad reffing that bailed out the Chiefs against Cincinnati and Philadelphia. Had that punt not been muffed or if Butker missed one field goal and the Chiefs don't win, does that remotely affect the performance of Mahomes? No. It has very little to do with him, the same as any team achievement. There are 53 players on that team and an incredible coaching staff. Giving all the credit and accolades to Mahomes is absolutely moronic and a disservice to football. Finally, tell me that if Mahomes was in the same position as Joe Burrow, CJ Stroud, etc that he would be having the same level of success as he does now. Hell, really try to tell me he'd do as well as they have done in those positions. I'm not saying Mahomes sucks, he's still an elite level QB, but he is nowhere near the status of a goat and rings are meaningless when you can't get the job done yourself.
I dont think you can believe the things you wrote. Not top 5. Stats are just flashy. Pretending Brady was the soul reason his teams won his 7. Pretending everyone is calling Mahomes the untouchable goat. Then basically everything else. Pretty much everything you said is wrong, I don't think you believe it. Wonderful troll.
Okay I understand your point, but Tom Brady definitely wasn’t THE reason the Patriots won their first three Super Bowls. He was basically an Alex Smith, won’t lose you the game QB. Those teams were based around a very talented defense masterminded by Bill Bellichick. Now the later Super Bowls Tom had the most impact on those teams. Mahomes on the other hand is doing insane shit in the playoffs ever since he’s started. He’s having a better start than any QB in history, stats back that up. Even if he’s a “System QB” the dude is still performing at a high level to execute all these Andy Reid plays. Plus Alex Smith wasn’t bringing the Chiefs to the Super Bowl. He had the same team if not a tad better with Kareem Hunt (for a year), Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce. Football is the ultimate team sport so there are years where a different unit takes over the team. That was the KC defense this year helping Mahomes and Co. so we can say it wasn’t Pat that won this Super Bowl. But he did help make plays when it mattered most like Tom did. Now I also think this year kind of proved he can lead the offense with less talent at the skill position, so he absolutely could’ve blown up on a different team. Sean Payton wanted him so could you imagine a Michael Thomas (at that time), Alvin Kamara, Patrick Mahomes offense? Would’ve been a playoff team. Maybe get to the Super Bowl with their defense at that time.
I don't think you've watched any football the last five years. Mahomes' calling card is not start-to-finish dominance, it's slowly figuring out the tendencies of the opposing defense and then exploiting them, and while Andy Reid is the man responsible for a lot of the clever play calls, Mahomes' unbelievable physical and mental skillset allow him to make whatever play is necessary to win a game without making the same kinds of bad throws the vast majority of other quarterbacks do. He can beat you with deep bombs downfield, he can give you death by a thousand checkdowns, and he's one of the best scramblers the league has ever seen. He is not the sole reason the Chiefs have had the success they have, but he's taken Andy Reid's career (which was already very good) and vaulted it into the GOAT conversation-and in these last two Super Bowl runs the only real offensive weapons the Chiefs have had are Travis Kelce and Isiah Pacheco.
The Josh Allen graph is a really interesting "Hey Look" but also its an example of classic stats can be shown any which way to enforce any argument. Hail Marys count in this and that doesnt say anything about a qb talent, drops hurt the qbs even if it was a perfect ball, weapons and style of offense isnt shown, its pure passing so you take out rushes (the rushes may make josh look even better tbf but it also bumps up people, There are qbs missing from the graphic, the Margins look huge but are 3% and .6 . It a fun click on me graph but it doesnt mean anything, he belongs in the trust when 1 score down section imo which is a very very good place to be for one of the best qbs in the league
While I agree with your points, I still think allen is in the down by 2 score, SO LONG as it's down by 9-11 pts (ie, a td and fg as opposed to 2 tds). Im not sure if you are implying that allen has benefitted from a lot of Hail Mary throws or not, but I don't believe he has. He just has a strong enough arm that he can throw Hail Mary distance balls to extremely deep receivers with a decently high degree of accuracy, which I would still consider a regular deep pass.
@@irshkashirkle I more meant hail marys hurt some other peoples numbers more than helping his, same woth dime drops and rushes. But fs his chuck first ask questions later style will decide if u have him in the 1st or 2nd section. Either u think its why he can get u those 9 or its why u think he cant
Ngl Brady scared tha shit out of me as a chief fan. But he scared every fanbase for 20+ years. But as a 40 year old who has been a Chiefs fan since tecmo bowl, I do not care. This has been the best run the Chiefs had in my life. There have only been dark days up til now. Of course, his numbers are on the decline past few seasons. lots of Qbs alreay have better production than him. however, are there any QB going to with 3 superbowls? That is very unlikely anytime in the near future.
Of course his numbers have been on the decline-the Chiefs traded away a future Hall of Fame receiver and surrounded him instead with JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Justin Watson, Kadarius Toney, Skyy Moore, Richie James, Mecole Hardman, Justyn Ross, and Rashee Rice. Those guys aren't terrible, but they're nowhere near the kind of firepower he had with Hill, Robinson, Watkins, and Hunt early on. He's had to adjust his game to become more of a checkdown passer because of his slower and less surehanded receiving corps.
@@brandonhallam51 49s missed their extra point making it a 3 point game. Say he makes it, you realize chiefs got down to the goaline with a few second reaming in regular time. They would have went for the end zone 3 times and knowing the chiefs prob would have got the TD to walkoff win. But it didn’t happen. Quit making exercises.
Chief's offense sucked this year for the most part. But this was a down year, and Mahomes will not put up with this shit again next year, so the Chiefs will be much better.
Counter offer perna: when you go to prison the Broncos cap space doubles. It continues to double each year you spend in prison until they win the superbowl. You're also fully committed and not allowed to leave prison until they win.
I don't think that Pat has created a new tier for QBs. This is his third season going into his fourth, I think. I believe this year is going to the one where we'll see the wear and tear creep up on him. While he's is undoubtedly S tier right now, he's not going to stay there.
Dare I say Hurts would be better with a better OC. If you send all your receivers down the sidelines and ignore half the field, it's hard to mount a comeback.

So who in your opinion is the Goat? Cause it can't be Brady bassed off of what you said.
Yeah they can all compete with mahomes if they get away with 400 non calls for blatant holding all year.
Jordan love did?
Matthew Stafford
All It takes is for mahomes to say something the media hates and the script writers will change his fortune.😅
The only thing that can defeat mahomes is time eventually he will get old
This was a dramastic episode
Sports morning show said Joe Burrow, thats it.
Ngl Brady scared tha shit out of me as a chief fan. But he scared every fanbase for 20+ years. I hate to say it but he would need at least 8 with only one more Superbowl loss b4 I'd entertain a got discussion. TBH he needs one more for Montana. But as a 40 year old who has been a Chiefs fan since tecmo bowl, I do not care. This has been the best run the Chiefs had in my life. There have only been dark days up til now. I think Mahomes is better but the longevity plus rings is too much to ignore. That mf broke my hater ability when he got 6. Tampa 7 was crazy.
Tom, Please stop using the "I have covid and feel bad" as an excuse to not be cheering and jumping up and down to show your excitement for the Chiefs winning the super bowl. LOL XD
Just kidding, hope you get feeling well soon!
Honestly, the way it looks currently, I can't say so, outside of Cincinnati
@RedKingdom25 And yet fans like you will throw that statement to the side when it comes to bashing a QB you hate aka “who hurt you?”
Who knew we needed Cool Joe Burrow to comeback for next season and Beat Mahomes in the playoffs…..not me 😂
We need a sad face Perna shirt!
How was it a wild card team that won? The Chiefs won their division this year did they not?
If you stretch the definition of wild card to be “team that played in wild card round” then maybe but yeah they’re wrong
Just remember 1 man can. He’s undefeated vs mahomes and he runs a good goffense
Who? Jared Goff?😂
goff lol
Noobs
Watson won't get suspended again. Unless he is imprisoned or does something new and unrelated to the prior accusations.
I'm sorry to see Tom's pregnancy isn't going well. Feel better buddy.
Well at least he looks better.
Wheres Anthony Richardson?
He needs to play a full game of football before anyone can make any real assessments of him other than “he’s got potential”
@@josephmuir4189 I agree. Was just curious why he wasn't even on the list. That could've been a tier
@@sharpenedtactic it could (and probably should have been) but i guarantee you Perna forgot Richardson existed lol he doesn't have the greatest attention to detail
Idk probably on IR
Mahomes couldve been beat if any teams in the playoffs made their kicks...
Excuses never end. GO CHIEFS!
How could the Dolphins or Ravens have won based on their kicks. Such a stupid opinion.
@@joshuahines1531 so ignore 49ers and bills and go straight to dolphins... genius...
@@brandonhallam51bills make their kick Mahomes still has time to get into field goal range
TOM you needed to go home and rest!
Take care I don't want nothing to happen to you!.
I hope they rock with Bailey Zappe.
Short answer- of course, their record this year was 11-6. Not undefeated.
I don't think that Pat has created a new tier for QBs. This is his third season going into his fourth, I think. I believe this year is going to the one where we'll see the wear and tear creep up on him. While he's is undoubtedly S tier right now, he's not going to stay there.
Patrick has been a full time starting QB since the 2018 season, 2024 will be his 7th season as a starter and 8th overall in the league
mahomes is a fraud, stroud will beat him next season, also if the raiders trade up for jayden daniels
Dare I say Hurts would be better with a better OC. If you send all your receivers down the sidelines and ignore half the field, it's hard to mount a comeback.
I wish Perna would have been Grossi's + 1 for FOTY just to see the pain😂
I'm making spaghetti as Perna said threw spaghetti on the wall. Thanks perna my lunch is gone now
I know nobody wants to say it but David tepper as an owner is horrible and has a lot of skeletons in his closet IMHO.

Will you raise money for organizations working to implement gun controls so that people don't have to live in fear of eating a rifle round when in public?
What organization does meaningful work on that? Like I 100% agree that we live in a hellscape but there's only one group of people that can do anything, Congress, and they seem well aware of the problem. I just don't know if the gun lobby will be beaten with counter advocacy and I'd rather my money goes to something I know at least helps someone materially. Would love some serious considerations though if you have any!
I'm afraid Josh is right. As long as the gun lobby has a stranglehold on Congress, a thousand lobby orgs. won't accomplish anything.
I really hope they don't, considering that wasn't, and usually isn't, the problem
@dominicpancella3012 how was letting kids walk around with rifles not a direct component of letting kids get into the middle of a crowd with several rifles? Please elaborate.
Also, please name a mass shooting caried out without a firearm. Please elaborate.
Our culture is the problem. Criminals and crazy people won't be deterred by laws. This is America, we have the right to keep and bear arms, what needs to be changed is the cultural climate.
LMFAO, YOU KNOW THE ANSWER IS NO, TOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS CHIEFS KINGDOM!!!!!!!!!!!! STILL ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN, BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
