not sure if anyone gives a damn but if you're stoned like me during the covid times you can stream all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend recently =)

Just come across this video. Looking to build a cheap server from parts I have around. Wanting a Fileserver, backup, video streaming and webserver. Been developing website for over 15 years and want a separate server in house for testing and development, the rest is just what a Geek wants.
I got a sff 4th gen i5 haswell. I only have two sata headers and one pcie slot. I am waiting for an pci to nvme card and i am yanking out the dvd rom to swap out for an 4 TP drive. Can i use the nvme has the cash drive to host the hdd?
Brilliant!!! A complete guide for building a home server with latest virtualization concept. I 've truly loved the part of Esxi & Vcenter deployment . Since i've implemented that on my budget home server about 10 months ago . Not many people ever shared the idea of building a Vcenter based home server on UA-cam. It used to be LAMP server in most of the cases. Having 16 GB of RAM , My Intel i5 9th gen is serving as a host-desktop & virtualizing a mini Vcenter server & other VM's on it. Wishing you a million viewers soon.
Hello I have an idea and I was wondering if u could answer my questions to see if this would work so there is a game I use to play zombie raiders beta now my idea is cant I run a server off my pc and connect it to the game through some code? This method was done through mario kart wii but not by a server off a pc.
I have a spare computer with windows and a software raid of about 6gb that I want to use as storage. Would using as a server instead of just a mapped drive be significantly faster? I want to be able to use windows when necessary, I use a boot manager (Bootit) and can have two occurences of windows on the machine. Thanks
Good stuff, Emilio. I like how you include the Synology, because not everyone has the same amount of time. I’d like to start out w/ the Synology “slim” NAS that can accommodate vSphere (ESXi) for my vSAN. I’ve been looking at all sorts of sites, one of which shows how VMWare has actually worked with Intel on “channels” which balance the threads between the CPU and each VM. But, those seem to be for more high-end, high-throughput configurations and Synology is less “production/24-7/high load” and more consumer based solutions
I need to utilise the storages on 3 computers their is over 2tb of internal storages and another 1.5 tb external....what I need to do is get it all working as one...Any ideas on that would be very useful😎
This dramatically interests me. Do you have any videos that could help me build a server that could hold all my files, movies, and even games? I have also heard of people who build Gaming servers, but I can not find any videos that explain what they are or how they work to a beginner. I guess what I am asking is that I am looking into a server that I could use as a storage and archival system, but that would also double as a system that I can stream games from. This is primarily due to my family playing games on Laptops, and we can only have so much onboard storage before we have to get an external hard drive.
Hey Lord Cubbo, thanks for the comment. If you are interested in learning more I do have a bunch of other videos related to this topic. This playlist may contain some info that you found helpful. ua-cam.com/play/PLX2PHIbcBY0FA8wNhFzE5NLK7YgWE94nZ.html
Thanks for the video. I've always wanted to be a penetration tester that's why I got into programming and installed kali Linux on my virtual machine. I also have Ubuntu.
Sounds Latin. Have a couple of old desktops and a laptop but don't know how to set it up. Internet access is via cell phone. Wish to set it up but need much assistance.
First I want to say great content! Gives a good over view of applications of a server. I do have a question though...say i want to set up a desktop as a server that is accessible by all my devices such as android phones, windows laptops, linux laptops, and my gaming desktop (windows 10) and store it say in my garage via WDS for NAS storage but also to be able to run other applications on it such as crypto mining when it is "idle" or VB for my pentesting lab, what would be the ideal OS for doing this? ( I would need it to be remote accessible from anywhere ) the pc is a dell T3600 xeon 2690 with 32g ram and 240gb ssd (os) and 2 or more 500gb hdd's (storage i.e. photos, music, video) .....this is concept project I'm working on my apartment is fairly small, Is this possible and can I do this without spending money on more systems?
Hey Nick, thanks for the comment. I wouldn't settle for one OS, i'd have a combination of VM's running on ESXi. Good OS's which are commonly used in the industry would obvioulsy be win server, centos and ubuntu, for pentesting i'd use kali linux. Regarding remoting in, I normally use a combination of RDP, VNC and Team Viewer. Hope that helps.
Definitely gave me some good insite on info I wasn't aware of. Doing research to see if it's work taking my old gaming pc and using it as a hosting server for my dads local business and same with some family friends sites as well. Gonna have to see how this goes when I start trying it for thr first time.
Hi Emilio, Wow so Good to finally hear a fellow Aussie. I'm currently working on a Network / Server Set up with a variety of devices and currently exploring with Raspberry Pi's, i have the Pi 3 ,Pi 4, Pi 400 and Pi 4 with 8gig i have project where with the Pi 4 with 4 gig Ram using with 7 inch touch screen installing in the car and installing Android Auto also running gauges so i can see some sensors my WRX doesn't show me and I'm trying to code the OBD2 Port to show any errors and i could clear them and possible tune the car from the screen and using wireless keyboard. Great Video New Subscriber cant wait for more i will binging your playlists
I do have a question I have an old dell t3500 with a xenon in it. Would you recommend using that for the server over an FX 5600 cpu. I'm self taught so I'm not sure on what is better. The Intel is a w3090 I think
I watched the videos again, I take back my comments. You made a good and informative video. I was searching for something specific and UA-cam algo recommended your videos and the algorithm was dead wrong. at the time it definitely was not what I was looking for and wasted 4-5min of my time. My comments should have been... 'YouT algo was as useful as toilet paper that breaks in your hand '

@Thiago Reginald Yea, I've been using InstaFlixxer for months myself :)

I had a drink every time he said server and I blacked out before 2 minutes.
Really great info though!
ha ha, did i really say it that much? lol

Thanks for your nice comment, really appreciate it!
Thanks for your video. Possibly a silly question. Why can't I just set up an old PC as a giant shared folder and then map everything else to it?
Also wondering the same thing, what's the difference between just sharing a file on the network vs setting up a NAS

I really appreciate the clarity of this. I am going to subscribe and like!
Thanks Devon, glad you found it helpful.

"the better the tech in my computer the better it will perform" All this time ive been wondering why man thank you XD
glad you found it helpful, appreciate the comment.
Sorry, but I don't do Linux. I gave up the command line (reluctantly) in 1990 after the VAX 11/780 and PC-/MS-DOS.
I have no luck building 1
I've been using Google Workspace that I consider my server.😆
Why take 5~ mins just to get to the meat of the topic. Thats a bigger reason people are learning from indians vs the western world ffs.
thanks for tip. I do sometimes find it helpful to provide some context.
as useful as toilet paper that breaks in your hand.
thanks for your constructive comment.

Yeah you “can” do a lot of things…if you indeed CAN 😂🤣
