Yeah, the modern style seems to be to take all the color out of things and make them grayish, which this does just as a matter of the lightening effect it ends up applying. I wonder if it could compensate somehow with an optional proportional saturation boost. Source games were always pretty vibrant even when they were kinda intending to be dreary or gray.

It is adjustable so the haze isn't as present, but i totally understand :)
