Hi Mike, nice job on your 3D parts ideas. I am writing to find out how you found the aluminum CLSP on Amazon? I have some ideas and this would be a great test bed. Thank you for your help...Paul
Hi. I was a listing on Amazon for the CLSP for $35 and were listed as customer returns. I bought 2 and one of them had an aluminum frame. It was pure luck. In fact it also had a leather tool accessory pack included. It is much lighter than the cast iron one. I have both set up with different threads. I'm not sure how you could get an aluminum one. Nice thing it is light and does not rust.

Good morning Mike 1) Your thread oiler interests me. Are you planning to do a video on using it? Perhaps you could use leather scraps of different weights to show the difference in how oiled and unoiled thread performs. What different threads do you oil? Just for leather, or maybe for upholstery? Does it change the tension setting? 2) Nice light, but my old ears can't quite make out the name of it or where you got it.
The difference I saw that I had no thread breakage with the oil. I use # 69 thread. Its very strong. When I sew I usually go over the seam twice. I always back stitch on the ends. I use the oil for all sewing. Cloth and leather.
I painted the machine green and used fine steel wool to polish the chromed parts. I then spray painted them with clear paint to keep them from rusting.
Hey Mike, I like your add-ons. I am going to use one or two. I would like to hear what you think about my add-ons If you get a chance to check out my shoe patcher.@ welding by riley foster

Good looking machine ! Why are your metal parts so shiny? Did you polish them or have them chrome plated?
I painted the machine green and used fine steel wool to polish the chromed parts. I then spray painted them with clear paint to keep them from rusting.
Do you sell these items ? Just bought my CLSP and would be interested in purchasing these items you've made.
No I do not sell them but if you have a 3d printer i can send you the stl files.
