That’s what I was thinking! I’m imagining Shoto might take Dabi to an infirmary or something and then when Dabi regains consciousness he just nukes the area with flames. And yes I’m a supporter of the phoenix theory.

I'm pretty sure it was explained early on that people can handle having two quirks. However the more quirks you have the more your body starts reject them.
It is described in computer terms. Basically nomus are artifically forced to overcome their quirk computing capacity and held together artifically too because we know from a past user the build up of quirks in OFA caused him to crack open and die.
Well the main thing you see in the series is the people cannot handle being ‘given’ too many quirks. Since we know that stolen quirks carry a copy of the original person’s personality along with it. The only natural two quirk person we have seen is Shoto, and that is balanced between the two halves of his body, but he was born with it, not given it, and there was difficulties having dual quirks manifest in a person, Toya (Had his fathers fire quirk but his mothers ice quirk resistance, he would have been more successful with an Ice quirk). Even One for All with it’s multitude of quirks has gotten so strong it is harmful to the body, but at least the vestiges can work together and communicate instead or fighting over control of the body like I assume the vestiges do in Nomu (unlike with Kurogiri, who had multiple quirks mixed together and merged with Oboro’s original ‘Cloud’ quirk to make Warpgate, a single composite quirk.
Nomu’s are scientifically altered beings meant to maintain multiple quirks without dying, but normal people can handle at least two without the life span dropping 0 in a couple days (wolfram, Lady Nagant, etc). If your hardware can’t keep up with your software, the system just gonna crash. We got this explanation from one of the one for all wielders who died of old age. The only exception Gigantomachia but I think his body was also altered.
I would think his body was altered because nomus obey like dogs. And well. He acts like a dog for the most part. He might be a bit more advanced because he can formulate sentences and sometimes do things on his own free will, but I think he was probably altered at some point.
The amount of Quirks a body can handle has always been a soft limit depending on the strength of the quirks and the body. OfA only drains lifespan because it is a strong quirk that grows in power over time.
I love this series a lot, but one thing that sucks is that we probably won't get to see 100% full power adult Deku... Unless Horikoshi is planning a surprise time skip or something for series
When they say they are ending MHA, it doesn't mean that the story is finished. If they do a time skip, they wouldn't be in Academy any more, so it could just be My Hero.

The todorokis don't have a monopoly on fire based quirks, lots of people can have them to varying degrees. Fire is traditionally OP in anime so it'd be weird if AFO didn't have some sort of fire power in his arsenal. Having fire coming from a finger is not the smoking gun confirming the All For Dad theory lol
Unless the flame quirk does come out of his mouth then we can say oh there's a definite connection and since AFO has quirks to enhance others it makes sense why it can be extremely powerful even though Inko states that both hers and her husbands are simple quirks
I'm guessing Deku's original quirk was just another version of All For One. He was farming for one this whole time. Deku had it so All For One took it so he could give Shigaraki his original one. Explains why Deku is the way he is about quirks, would make sense for his original quirk to make him so focused on other people's quirks.
His quirk can only be Breathing Fire, minor gravity control (attraction) or a combo of both. All for One isn’t Dekus father but he could have had his potential quirk (Fire manipulation) stolen by the doctor.
Interesting you mentioned Phoenix rebirth, Marco’s phoenix flames in one piece are blue, so it could be possible for Dabi to have that same reborn/rebirth ability with he’s flames.
Well he never die, and the way I see that indicates that he definitely has that ability to reset or revive himself, he doesn't know it but soon we will know 🤔
Those flames just represent the intensity of them, white-blue is the hottest of all flames is all. I mean it's possible. I think dabi has a bomb in his chest
Out of curiosity, do you think that the extra quirk Dabi has could be a reactive adaptation type thing. Meaning once he dies a certain way, he can’t be killed that way again.Which would explain why his fire didn’t kill him all this time, and why Shoto won’t be able to simply take him out the same way again.
All for one knows dabi lost because he has the search quirk he took during the forest training arc. This could be completely false in the coming chapters, but the logical explanation as to why is because of search
That quirk is so powerful for someone like AFO lol. But that does make sense. He might even be aware of the heroes not having Izuku where he needs to be since he would most definitely ensure he knows where Izuku is at all times.
Just went back and read the chapter where those quirks were destroyed, it only says "reflect was destroyed", but I could be wrong and need to read the next couple.

@@gregdaegghead2583 All For One used the search quirk on the start of this war to make sure Midoriya was alone and it wasn't an ambush laid by the heroes. He even stated it in that chapter. That's why he was so confident that he could capture Midoriya back then, but the heroes surprised him by having Monoma copy Kurogiri's quirk and warp gate all the heroes to the location.
I’d love if dekus original quirk was decay and it was taken from him and given to shiggy. Which would further link them together. With nana being shiggy grandmother maybe in an alternate world all might would have picked him as the successor to honor his master.
Except shigaraki's decay activated *before* he met all for one...not to mention shigaraki is older than deku so this idea of deku's quirk being given to shigaraki would make no sense
Looks like shiggy is 21 and Deku is 16. Shiggy got his quirk at 5. Let’s do some math which means shiggy was 5 and When he merked his family and Deku was just about to be born. Shiggys quirk isn’t related to his parents. It was definitely given to him and not taken from Deku. I believe a different quirk was taken from deku. But we don’t know what it was
I honestly think AFO gave dabi the quirk unwillingly and unknowingly to Dabi. It falls in line with AFO’s mentality, forcing a quirk upon someone like he did his brother. Plus not only would this be a betrayal to Dabi and destroy him, since Dabi wanted to kill shoto using his fathers quirk and his own skill, thus stripping that possibility away from him forever. It also makes sense for all for one, he wanted to make an army of the strongest quirk users society had to offer, knowing Dabi is among the weakest, and essentially on his last legs according to the doctor saying he shouldn’t have survived. Why risk losing a soldier and have him kill himself because he was too stubborn to get help. Forcing help onto others that don’t want us literally All For Ones end goal about giving resources to the whole world so everyone relies on him.
Okay, here's my theory AFO gave dabi the quirk anyway, without him knowing & he is activating it now, from a dormant state within dabi. AFO probably killed deku's dad and took his quirk already , hence why he is using fire now
I'm down for deku for dad theory ever since you mentioned it because it ties to hori's love for star wars and gives him a reason for his mom to be tied back into the story ( family manipulation)
Im just having a hard time picturing AFO settling down with anyone, especially with someone like dekus mom.Why her? is deku AFO's ONLY child? what would keep him from doing this with multiple women? Like he just went and spent time the fam and then just dipped? she refers to him being her husband, so unless afo has genjutsu and just implanted memories into her mind, Im having a hard time wrapping my head around the logistics at this current junction.
i also think all for one is deku's dad but i think there is a reason why he made deku because he wanted a special quirk and when deku was born he left because he took what he need and i think this quirk is special and might have been a op quirk and that all for one needed for a long time and i think that the quirk he stole from deku and what am thinking is deku quirk is the ability to use more quirks at a time and its possible because he is the son of all for one so when he got this quirk he stole it from him to become more powerfull because we dont know if all for one was able to use all quirks at the sametime before deku's birth and thats mybe the reason he lost against all might at the very first fight so in conclusion one for all made deku so he can have a special quirk that is alot powerful that the ones he allready have and that quirk could be (the ability to use multiple quirks at the same time) and his experiment succeeded so he became even stronger because before he could use one quirk at a time and now he can use more without dying or exploding and thats my theory hope y'all get what i mean
I think he will be what leads to a sequel plot if there is a sequel which I'd far stretch. Like him showing up in the epolouge talking to deku about something that leads to the sequel (maybe about a secret only je knows I dont know this is fantasy territory)

AFO has always been able to take and give quirks. Back in the days that’s how he controlled people. Take quirks from some and give them to others. He also gave his brother the power stocking quirk which merged with his brothers quirk (to give his quirk which became OFA. This is something that I find crazy for someone to not remember and make it seem like him giving away quirks is out of the blue. Lol
Um…No. A nomu is a human corpse that has been altered to hold multiple quirks while having better physical strength. Unless we’re talking about high ends, their brain function will pretty much cease to the point of them being a zombie or dog (Being that they need commands to function). As seen with Nagant where she could function with 2-3 quirks without being a nomu.
His father’s quirk was fire breath. That fire is coming out of AFO’s finger. And that is under the assumption that that even is fire. Also, if Dabi blows up, that proves once and for all that AFO used a turn people into bombs quirk on nagant and NOT a self destruct quirk that when you think about still doesn’t make any damn sense.
And in the thumbnail, which is a colored version of the panel from the chapter, you can see the fire forming on his ring finger. If it were fire breath, it would be coming out of his mouth not forming on his finger. Also, AFO has never used a quirk that focuses on his mouth. And now that he is wearing that special helmet for life support, he probably never will use a quirk that utilizes a breath attack.
Hell, even the warping quirk that has black goo only works by coming out of the mouth of the person who is being warped. Which also means that the black goo on his thumb has to be a different quirk.
The quirk it’s just called Warping there’s a difference between Warping & Warp Gate 1. Warping release black ooze-liquid from other people’s mouths 2. Warp Gate can create and manipulate a dark fog that acts a portal 3. Both Warping Quirk can create a separation direction between entering the portal or warping themselves all at once
Why are you saying that as if I didn’t already know? I am well aware of the differences between quirks. What I’m saying is that AFO having a quirk that produces what looks like fire out of his finger, doesn’t prove that he is deku’s father. And 4 of the 5 quirks in AFO’s hand are not quirks that we have seen before. Possible fire on ring, crescent rings on middle, face forming on pointer, and dark goo on thumb. Also, don’t think that I’m against the AFO dad theory. I actually want it to be true. But having what looks like fire coming out of his finger doesn’t hint that he is deku’s father. He father had fire breath. And until we see AFO use a fire breath quirk, hear him mention having one, or AFO just flat out says that he is deku’s dad, we can’t say for certain that deku is at war with his father.
I'd like to clarify a point about All for one potentially giving Dabi another quirk. All for one can give anyone extra quirks, Nomus are what happens when someone's body has too many quirks for their mind to remain intact so they become husk that can only follow orders and such.
If Izuku's dad does really work in America (I think they mention this very early on)... I think it's VERY interesting we never even get a photo of his father. No photos, no flashbacks, no calls from his father in America. Nothing. No matter if this is revealed or not, theres no way it wasn't atleast planned to happen at SOME POINT, so many things point to it being the case.
The factor What I don't like AFO is Deku's father theory is that it doesn't have a strong argument of Why did AFO need specifically Izuku's mother to have his son ? I personally don't like the Decay quirk was deku's quirk theory. I think it will have more sense if AFO just have many children with random women just to replicate another All for one, like Yujiro Hanma in Baki. And since Deku didn't inherit his quirk he just disappeared.
The Dad for one theory is a good parralell to Shigaraki sense Shigi's grandma was a hero and he turned into a villain like how Deku turned into a hero.
I would not be at all surprised if AFO is Deku's father! I even have this big fan-fic in my head on how this would/could play out! To put things very short for now, maybe just before or after the final battle, All-Might is contacted by Hawks to meet him, alone somewhere. All-Might, seeing Hawks grave expression on his face, and being completely silent, All-Might asks:' What's wrong?' Still not saying anything, gives him a substantial file. All-Might:' What is this?' Hawks, finally looks at him and says:' Just.....please.....' All-Might starts looking through it, then, the color drains from his face! 'My.....my God, how.....how is this even......?' Hawks, sighs sadly, then states:' I know. I know this is the last thing we need right now, AFO, the whole thing with Shigaraki, Dabi and Endeavor, we thought when the public found out the truth, coupled with the mass breakout of Tartarous, everything went to s%#@! Deku had a quirk, a mix between his fathers and mothers, which was... Fire. From his hands. Deku's quirk was taken as a child by the evil doctor we've already seen him interact with at the same age he's supposed to develop quirks... AFO stole the quirk of the child who would subsequently go onto to become the greatest hero and defeat him. 10000000% more clear than AFO randomly being Deku's dad.
How would he know that deku would be the one to defeat him? What would fire do for AFO? he couldve just taken Dabi’s which is way stronger than any fire quirk we seen thus far and how the doctor take his quirk without AFO being there ?😐 too many holes in this theory
Can't be true that he is the father. Not having a quirk wouldn't have slowed AFO down a second. He wouldn't have left his kid quirkless when he could have solved it.
Unless he made his son quirkless knowing that Allmight was born quirkless, and set him up to be a "likeable" candidate for the next OFA holder. They talked about how they have to shatter Deku's resolve so they can take OFA from him. What would be more morale shattering than "Oh, and I'm that deadbeat dad, btw" Just playing devil's advocate. I'm still betting on Deko having AFO, since all the previous holders of the stockpile quirk had their quirks stockpiled.... technically AFO had it before giving it to his brother. So it's entirely possible AFO (quirk) got stockpiled from the get go and the whole reason OFA can be transferred at all is due to that.
@@nason.mcglinn It stretches coincidence that AFO would work on the "raise my rival's kid as my protégé for extra salt in the wounds" stuff. This story is all about Midoria being the anti-chosen. He had nothing, showed courage, got a chance and used it to become the best, while his rival was from the Golden lineage with overwhelming power granted to him because of who he was, not what he was. Shigaraki is the chosen one, so Midoria also being a chosen one seems...counterproductive. Thematically, "Even a kid with no quirk can become the best hero" would be ruined. "Working hard pays off if you stick to it" is out. "Evil can be defeated by anyone who has the conviction" is toast. Maybe Midoria's dad is someone special, but it would just make his achievements less his. Todoroki is the good guy chosen one with the terrible lineage. Uraraka is the good guy with the plain but loving family. Iida is the good guy with the loving lineage. Bakugo is the selfish ambition mirror to Midoria. The main characters(with families that get attention) all have their reflections. Good guys have situational reflections like Iida and Todoroki being the best and worst aspects of lineage. It just doesn't make any sense for Deku to also have AFO as a father when Shigaraki has AFO as a mentor and father figure. AFO runs almost everything on the criminal side. He is connected to everyone and everything, it seems. The good guys are almost always in compete opposition down to the individual level. Dabi and Todoroki, for instance. Same shitty father, but one is insane and the only person who could understand him is his brother. That's your good/evil. Your good mirror is Iida. You get the point. Edit: Obviously they change their roles as the story progresses, but these are their starting points before they grow together to overcome the things that would have broken them otherwise. Bakugo is changing slowly, but the balls to tell the bad guys to fuck off because they aren't shit isn't because Bakugo is a great person, but because he feels morally superior. He is so arrogant that joining evil is unthinkable.
@@abenjohnpaul8556 All for one is basically immortal with his quirks, he's already the oldest character in the franchise. Also he has one of the first quirks which means its very possible that his son is born without a quirk as in All for Ones generation quirks were rare.
Well, that depends on how he sees his son and wife. If he didn't care and just used Deku to make himself stronger then he has no reason to give him a quirk. It would be a waste. If he actually liked his family then it would also make sense since he wouldn't want his son to be involved in the war. It would isolate him from hero society.
Hair color change is for the better but definitely caught me off guard. I'm just glad Zhoniin figured his hair maintenance out so he doesn't have to be committed to a hat to look acceptable.
I think Dabi is experiencing his final evolution to a being of living flame. That'd explain why his Quirk burns his body; he's never been defective. His quirk was doing what it's supposed to do.

The flame on AFOs finger could just be a copy of Dabi's. Maybe. I think it would be so dope if Deku was intended to be one of AFO and The Doctors backups. Maybe as a backup body or to see if OFA, the quirk, would evolve if it was passed on. Maybe it evolved or randomly mutated into decay. Regardless of all that, was Spinner giant in his panel? Like smashing a bridge?
It was stated that he would never use Dabis quirk cause it only wants to destroy and all for one wants to live forever. He can’t harm himself if he wants to be eternal
The theory for AfO being his dad, 3 reasons: 1. His face has never been fully shown 2. Deku's original quirk was stolen 3. The parallel with Nana being the grandmother of Shigaraki. Like Zhoniin, I'm not fully on board with it because well, you have a prime All-Might beating AfO and as intelligent as he is, he probably would have known. Deku is what...16? And All-Might is old! So I would think that just on timelines, All-Might most likely had beat him way before Deku was even born; he was young when Nana Shimura was killed and not long after, he went to America (which is where he met a very, very grade school young Star N Stripe and look at how old she was when she fought Shigaraki!) I don't know. I'm probably thinking about it too much but the timelines alone don't add up to me

I know many people don't like the All for One Dad Theory, but tbh, I love it. Imagine civilians finding out the future #1 hero's father is the #1 villain. It would be an amazing add on to the story. Plus, Horikoshi did say that MHA is coming to an end soon. Him just adding a man saying is Deku's dad would be..random.
well hearing why all for one COULD be dekus dad, makes me realize why he is not his dad. in the intro of the op deku is saying ‘here is the story of how i became the greatest hero’ its too bright and cheery of a dream he has had since he was a little boy. if he finds out his dad is an ultra super villain, it would be so traumatic for even deku that he wouldn’t be like ‘anyway, im still the greatest hero by the way’ no! he would be like um i barely survived beating all for one and im gonna vacation to hawaii cuz apparently he was my dad who stole an important part of my body and even left my mom.. his dream was ruined from the get go and there’s nothing happy about that, so why would he say something like “the story is all rise from when i got all mights quirk and nothing deterred me from my dream.” cuz killing his dad is a choice he has to make and that is something that does deter him from his dream.

It saddens me that a villain has to be the one to be self aware and proof my point and i'm more saddened by the fact that its the villain that killed Midnight. what he says sum up everything id be saying for the past few ch, there is no sense of dread, basically the sense of dread is purely based on AFO and Shiga. the Hero had careful planing and that is why they are winning so far, but all this planning seemingly worked just because AFO doesn't seem to care if his allies win or not cus he's sure that Shika would turn the tide, Im not a smart person- but the moment the cages went up and I saw which hero went with which portal, i knew that the hero had counter for the villain. look AFO lost an important aspect of his plan when Twice died, they could have used his quirk to waste their energy and then the real one will show up after ,its certainly a big win for the hero in exchange for her life HOWEVER you can't deny that even with her lost there are other heroes that are equipped to practically deal with the main villains and the location are SPECIFICALLY chosen to deal with them along with the very POWERFUL heroes that are waiting to fight in those said location... Look at the attack to get gigant and kurogiri, AFO would have KNOWN that they would be well protected however one of the villain state that how is their surprise attack known, heroes that are specifically placed to match the villian HENCE WHY Mt Lady was specifically there where gigant's is locked up think about it and more importantly Momo's quirk HAD broken EVERY aspect of Shonen mang that is gonna be written in the future with the term "OP" broken to no possible way of EVER be able to refer to other powers by how she developed and the future of MHA universe that they are fighting for WILL BE IN DANGER...
I feel like, if AFO did have a kid, he would have multiple kids over the past two centuries in an effort to spread his legacy and create new vessels, kind of like how he kept looking for kids to turn into enemies of the hero society. A similar example in other fiction would be Emperor Palpatine (from Star Wars, naturally) making multiple clones of himself to create a new body to jump in (like AFO is doing with Shigaraki). It wouldn't even be a shock if Deku was at most a grandson or other descendant, like Rey was to Palpatine. Basically, if Deku was his child, he would likely not be the ONLY one.
Dabi's quirk is probably a weird stored energy type deal.. what I mean is he can't die by burning cause the more of his body he burns the more of his body will be healed when he is supposed to die. So he won't actually die. Which I feel that orb thing is that part of his quirk turning on its a stored energy type quirk that requires the user to burn themselves to heal. It's always been there but no one knew how it worked because it seems just to out of the ordinary. Heck that's probably how he survived the first time.

I like to believe that instead of All for one being dekus dad rather I think it would make more sense if dekus dad works for all for one, afo said he has friends all over the world and hisashi works abroad so maybe that hints to something.
Would be super cool if he is his dad. And also the other theory that he actually took decay quirk from him and gave to touya would be even more f up. Also no way dabi is done also no way he survives this. I think dabi is a character that has to die. Not that i dislike him he probably is my favorite character after bakugo just one of those characters that has to go in some epic way.
Two things to talk about here. First off, I REALLY don't think Dabi has some kind of time bomb quirk, mostly because it doesn't make sense for him to have one. Dabi wouldn't have gotten it from AFO right before the second war because the latter needs to touch a target before giving or taking a quirk. Also, Dabi would have seen what happened to Nagant and applied the old "trust em as far as you can throw them" mentality. Honestly, getting it when he was first recovered when he was younger makes even less sense mainly because of why he was there. Toya was brought in to be a potential replacement for Shigaraki in case anything happened to him. If Toya was going to be AFO's successor, then AFO would have tried to groom him in the same way he did Tomura; threatening him with a bomb would probably have had the opposite effect. We all saw how that turned out anyway. Besides, Dabi's mentality and his self-destructive quirk combined are enough of a time bomb. If I had to apply a guess, from what I've read in other comments I do agree that this may have something to do with his ice-resistant body. Dabi has a strong will and grudge, but his body still has limits. It could be what's really kept him alive all this time, since this light appeared just as the hero who cuffed him wondered how he's still surviving after that whole battle. Maybe Shoto's move made something happen to trigger it. Second, for the All For One Dad theory. I have to be honest, I don't know how much stock I put in that theory, simply because it sounds a little too far-fetched to me. But if Horikoshi is a Star Wars fan, I guess I could see it. Frankly, I'm more invested in the whole 'Midoriya had Decay but AFO took it and gave it to Tenko' theory. That one is pretty juicy and it would be so tragically poetic if it were true.
I do think that AFO being dekus dad would make things a lot harder for the heroes. But if not then I guess it is just focusing on the final fight and ending some character arcs. And there could be something that horikoshi throws in to make the stakes higher for the heroes. Idk. In my fanfic that a JP lore crossover, where the reader can do what they do in JP. He can fully manipulate DNA basically and heal DNA strands and take a DNA strand from Someone else. I have a theory with dabi Dabi's quirk whilst it has been called cremation due to high temperature flames he generally uses these flames similar to a creature. He has not had much spotlight and I believe his cremation quirk is evolving to a Phoenix quirk it would make sense especially with how the doctor thought dabi should have died ages ago. I generally do think this his quirk mivest especially in my heroes one justice 2 is Phoenix related so his quirk may become this and his defeat to shoto may have sparked this.
I don't think the bomb that got nagant was a quirk afo gave her, I think it is the r result of a quirk or quirks possessed by afo because remember he can use 2 quirks at once in a like single mutated quirk
It could be a Deidara thing where he's going to blow himself up to catch the surrounding heroes, and/or he was actually given some quirk during the life saving Nomu procedure. I just hope it's more than AFO discarding the tool now that he's lost and is of no use. Him simply dying would be kinda boring. As for the other thing, if Deku's dad was AFO, it's not like the generic fire quirk would be any real evidence... it would probably have been some minor quirk from his collection, something decent but not crazy enough that people would pay too much attention to the guy. Who knows if he would even still have it at this point? he's always taking and giving away abilities. It would be different if e.g. the dad had been established from the start to have had one quirk that he could manifest in a couple slightly different ways, and the mom thinking that this was the case - only for us to realize later on that it must have been AFO's multiple quirks.
Nomus are people who have been forced past their quirk capacity artificially. A stronger person can have two quirks easy, and we have seen the in between with gigomachia.
The hero society and most IMPORTANTLY Horikoshi have not STILL contemplated the gravity of Momo yaoyorozu's quirk the villain's downfall here as well, look at the previous war, especially the location of the hospital and where the villains are hiding, specific heroes are intentionally placed, we can assume this is cuz of hawk's info and my pint can be proven with Kirishima SPECIFICALLY dealing with the electric villain, and what most people don't realise its NOT just him, Midnight is for crowd control, Cementoss is for long range, Mt lady is for Large villains, they know who to place where...sure in that war are most importantly in this latest one the heroes have to use EVERY available resources,AND THATS MY ENTIRE POINT....The heroes have TOO MUCH resources, whether its raw materials and OR Man power, even in this latest war there are heroes that are involved here that weren't in the previous war, but what about the heroes that are kept in the get go??AFO is seemingly just relying on his and Shika's power to deal with the heroes, however his profile indicate that as a S-class intelligence he SHOULD first consider the quirk that could potentially counter his plans and most importantly his allies and thus deal with them as in example for a few Momo's ,Monomo's Eraser etc and many others ..but he didn't he is seemingly SPECIFICALLY just relying on his and Shika's. Yes i know the hero would win in the end, but its blatantly obvious that there are no stakes in this.. Momo Yaoyorozu quirk development maybe that she needs just a small quantity of food to create HUGE huge raw materials and that too have no serious impact on her needing energy and or health, imagine going into a battle with nothing BUT have everything you need in one person.NO, Momo's quirk broke the universe of MHA and any Shonen manga that is EVER going to be written, she has surpassed the term 'OP" and Horikoshi doesn't realise it..
I think if AFO is Deku's dad itll be him doing it to multiple people that he wanted quirks from, with the fire breathing quote being the tip off for the doctor to steal the quirks from the children. Then it's just a matter of seeing if the quirk turned out right or not. I mean the guy can literally teleport and is supposedly one of the smartest people ever, I'm sure he can juggle a few relationships at a time and indulge in some evil carnage pleasures. If it follows down this path itll be a whole "You took my quirk which made me the perfect vessel for OFA and the pain you be caused os coming back bla bla karma." I dont know. I just dont see it as being the best possible ending for the series and I'm sure we'll get a second year manga spinoff even if it's just a more chill version of MHA.

The identity of Izuku's father certainly feels like something the narrative is treating as plot-relevant. The whole situation feels very much like how Dabi's true identity as Toya Todoroki was treated, which is to say steeped in mystery and intrigue. And yet, I feel like a reveal that AFO is Izuku's father wouldn't fit the story thematically. The "son overcoming the father" thing has felt so unique to Shoto that if the situation was repeated with Izuku and AFO it would diminish the struggle of the Todoroki family. And people have been pushing the theory almost from the beginning so a reveal like that would feel very flat and uninspired. Though honestly, MHA has been showing a decline in its story-telling for some time now so who knows, maybe it is true. If it is, it would diminish the story.

I think deku is afos son but his only son. Afo took dekus original quirk (all for one) and placed it in shigaraki. Allowing for there to be two all for one quirks. He later had ujiko make up a reason as to why deku doesn't have a quirk.
The only thing I have to ask regarding Deku is if he had a quirk first wouldn’t that have made him incompatible with the current version of one for all? Didn’t it need to be someone genetically matched without a quirk. We see with O’clock and others when they get their quirk removed there’s still certain aspects of their body and brain that operate like they had it (like if you cut your leg but your brain still thinks it is there) Otherwise I’m still down for the idea
Honestly I think there's a good chance afo is dekus dad because horikoshi has stated that dekus dad will appear in the series and given this being the final arc that makes afo being his dad the easiest way to bring him in to the story at this point

It is described in computer terms. Basically nomus are artifically forced to overcome their quirk computing capacity and held together artifically too because we know from a past user the build up of quirks in OFA caused him to crack open and die.
Well the main thing you see in the series is the people cannot handle being ‘given’ too many quirks. Since we know that stolen quirks carry a copy of the original person’s personality along with it. The only natural two quirk person we have seen is Shoto, and that is balanced between the two halves of his body, but he was born with it, not given it, and there was difficulties having dual quirks manifest in a person, Toya (Had his fathers fire quirk but his mothers ice quirk resistance, he would have been more successful with an Ice quirk).
Even One for All with it’s multitude of quirks has gotten so strong it is harmful to the body, but at least the vestiges can work together and communicate instead or fighting over control of the body like I assume the vestiges do in Nomu (unlike with Kurogiri, who had multiple quirks mixed together and merged with Oboro’s original ‘Cloud’ quirk to make Warpgate, a single composite quirk.

Nomu’s are scientifically altered beings meant to maintain multiple quirks without dying, but normal people can handle at least two without the life span dropping 0 in a couple days (wolfram, Lady Nagant, etc). The todorokis don't have a monopoly on fire based quirks, lots of people can have them to varying degrees. Fire is traditionally OP in anime so it'd be weird if AFO didn't have some sort of fire power in his arsenal. Having fire coming from a finger is not the smoking gun confirming the All For Dad theory lol

I'm guessing Deku's original quirk was just another version of All For One. He was farming for one this whole time. Deku had it so All For One took it so he could give Shigaraki his original one. Explains why Deku is the way he is about quirks, would make sense for his original quirk to make him so focused on other people's quirks.

That's why he was so confident that he could capture Midoriya back then, but the heroes surprised him by having Monoma copy Kurogiri's quirk and warp gate all the heroes to the location.

I honestly think AFO gave dabi the quirk unwillingly and unknowingly to Dabi. It falls in line with AFO’s mentality, forcing a quirk upon someone like he did his brother. Plus not only would this be a betrayal to Dabi and destroy him, since Dabi wanted to kill shoto using his fathers quirk and his own skill, thus stripping that possibility away from him forever. It also makes sense for all for one, he wanted to make an army of the strongest quirk users society had to offer, knowing Dabi is among the weakest, and essentially on his last legs according to the doctor saying he shouldn’t have survived. Why risk losing a soldier and have him kill himself because he was too stubborn to get help. Forcing help onto others that don’t want us literally All For Ones end goal about giving resources to the whole world so everyone relies on him.
Okay, here's my theory AFO gave dabi the quirk anyway, without him knowing & he is activating it now, from a dormant state within dabi. AFO probably killed deku's dad and took his quirk already , hence why he is using fire now

Im just having a hard time picturing AFO settling down with anyone, especially with someone like dekus mom.Why her? is deku AFO's ONLY child? what would keep him from doing this with multiple women? Like he just went and spent time the fam and then just dipped? she refers to him being her husband, so unless afo has genjutsu and just implanted memories into her mind, Im having a hard time wrapping my head around the logistics at this current junction.

AFO has always been able to take and give quirks. Back in the days that’s how he controlled people. Take quirks from some and give them to others. He also gave his brother the power stocking quirk which merged with his brothers quirk (to give his quirk which became OFA.
This is something that I find crazy for someone to not remember and make it seem like him giving away quirks is out of the blue. Lol

If it were fire breath, it would be coming out of his mouth not forming on his finger. Also, AFO has never used a quirk that focuses on his mouth. And now that he is wearing that special helmet for life support, he probably never will use a quirk that utilizes a breath attack.
Hell, even the warping quirk that has black goo only works by coming out of the mouth of the person who is being warped. Which also means that the black goo on his thumb has to be a different quirk.
The quirk it’s just called Warping there’s a difference between Warping & Warp Gate
1. Warping release black ooze-liquid from other people’s mouths
2. Warp Gate can create and manipulate a dark fog that acts a portal
3. Both Warping Quirk can create a separation direction between entering the portal or warping themselves all at once
Why are you saying that as if I didn’t already know?
I am well aware of the differences between quirks. What I’m saying is that AFO having a quirk that produces what looks like fire out of his finger, doesn’t prove that he is deku’s father. And 4 of the 5 quirks in AFO’s hand are not quirks that we have seen before. Possible fire on ring, crescent rings on middle, face forming on pointer, and dark goo on thumb.
Also, don’t think that I’m against the AFO dad theory. I actually want it to be true. But having what looks like fire coming out of his finger doesn’t hint that he is deku’s father. He father had fire breath. And until we see AFO use a fire breath quirk, hear him mention having one, or AFO just flat out says that he is deku’s dad, we can’t say for certain that deku is at war with his father.
I'd like to clarify a point about All for one potentially giving Dabi another quirk. All for one can give anyone extra quirks, Nomus are what happens when someone's body has too many quirks for their mind to remain intact so they become husk that can only follow orders and such.
If Izuku's dad does really work in America (I think they mention this very early on)... I think it's VERY interesting we never even get a photo of his father. No photos, no flashbacks, no calls from his father in America. Nothing.

Deku had a quirk, a mix between his fathers and mothers, which was... Fire. From his hands. Deku's quirk was taken as a child by the evil doctor we've already seen him interact with at the same age he's supposed to develop quirks... I'm still betting on Deko having AFO, since all the previous holders of the stockpile quirk had their quirks stockpiled.... technically AFO had it before giving it to his brother. So it's entirely possible AFO (quirk) got stockpiled from the get go and the whole reason OFA can be transferred at all is due to that.
@@nason.mcglinn It stretches coincidence that AFO would work on the "raise my rival's kid as my protégé for extra salt in the wounds" stuff. This story is all about Midoria being the anti-chosen. He had nothing, showed courage, got a chance and used it to become the best, while his rival was from the Golden lineage with overwhelming power granted to him because of who he was, not what he was. Shigaraki is the chosen one, so Midoria also being a chosen one seems...counterproductive. Thematically, "Even a kid with no quirk can become the best hero" would be ruined. "Working hard pays off if you stick to it" is out. "Evil can be defeated by anyone who has the conviction" is toast.
Maybe Midoria's dad is someone special, but it would just make his achievements less his.
Todoroki is the good guy chosen one with the terrible lineage.
Uraraka is the good guy with the plain but loving family.
Iida is the good guy with the loving lineage.
Bakugo is the selfish ambition mirror to Midoria.
The main characters(with families that get attention) all have their reflections. Good guys have situational reflections like Iida and Todoroki being the best and worst aspects of lineage. It just doesn't make any sense for Deku to also have AFO as a father when Shigaraki has AFO as a mentor and father figure. AFO runs almost everything on the criminal side. He is connected to everyone and everything, it seems. The good guys are almost always in compete opposition down to the individual level. Dabi and Todoroki, for instance. Same shitty father, but one is insane and the only person who could understand him is his brother. That's your good/evil. Your good mirror is Iida. You get the point.
Edit: Obviously they change their roles as the story progresses, but these are their starting points before they grow together to overcome the things that would have broken them otherwise. Bakugo is changing slowly, but the balls to tell the bad guys to fuck off because they aren't shit isn't because Bakugo is a great person, but because he feels morally superior. He is so arrogant that joining evil is unthinkable.

@@abenjohnpaul8556 All for one is basically immortal with his quirks, he's already the oldest character in the franchise. Also he has one of the first quirks which means its very possible that his son is born without a quirk as in All for Ones generation quirks were rare.
Well, that depends on how he sees his son and wife.
If he didn't care and just used Deku to make himself stronger then he has no reason to give him a quirk. It would be a waste.
If he actually liked his family then it would also make sense since he wouldn't want his son to be involved in the war. It would isolate him from hero society.

I think Dabi is experiencing his final evolution to a being of living flame. That'd explain why his Quirk burns his body; he's never been defective. His quirk was doing what it's supposed to do.

The flame on AFOs finger could just be a copy of Dabi's. Maybe. I think it would be so dope if Deku was intended to be one of AFO and The Doctors backups. The theory for AfO being his dad, 3 reasons:
1. His face has never been fully shown
2. Deku's original quirk was stolen
3. The parallel with Nana being the grandmother of Shigaraki.
Like Zhoniin, I'm not fully on board with it because well, you have a prime All-Might beating AfO and as intelligent as he is, he probably would have known. Deku is what...16? And All-Might is old! So I would think that just on timelines, All-Might most likely had beat him way before Deku was even born; he was young when Nana Shimura was killed and not long after, he went to America (which is where he met a very, very grade school young Star N Stripe and look at how old she was when she fought Shigaraki!) I don't know. I'm probably thinking about it too much but the timelines alone don't add up to me

I know many people don't like the All for One Dad Theory, but tbh, I love it. Imagine civilians finding out the future #1 hero's father is the #1 villain. It would be an amazing add on to the story. Plus, Horikoshi did say that MHA is coming to an end soon. Him just adding a man saying is Deku's dad would be..random.

well hearing why all for one COULD be dekus dad, makes me realize why he is not his dad. in the intro of the op deku is saying ‘here is the story of how i became the greatest hero’ its too bright and cheery of a dream he has had since he was a little boy. if he finds out his dad is an ultra super villain, it would be so traumatic for even deku that he wouldn’t be like ‘anyway, im still the greatest hero by the way’ no! he would be like um i barely survived beating all for one and im gonna vacation to hawaii cuz apparently he was my dad who stole an important part of my body and even left my mom.. his dream was ruined from the get go and there’s nothing happy about that, so why would he say something like “the story is all rise from when i got all mights quirk and nothing deterred me from my dream.” cuz killing his dad is a choice he has to make and that is something that does deter him from his dream.

It saddens me that a villain has to be the one to be self aware and proof my point and i'm more saddened by the fact that its the villain that killed Midnight. what he says sum up everything id be saying for the past few ch, there is no sense of dread, basically the sense of dread is purely based on AFO and Shiga. the Hero had careful planing and that is why they are winning so far, but all this planning seemingly worked just because AFO doesn't seem to care if his allies win or not cus he's sure that Shika would turn the tide, Im not a smart person- but the moment the cages went up and I saw which hero went with which portal, i knew that the hero had counter for the villain. look AFO lost an important aspect of his plan when Twice died, they could have used his quirk to waste their energy and then the real one will show up after ,its certainly a big win for the hero in exchange for her life HOWEVER you can't deny that even with her lost there are other heroes that are equipped to practically deal with the main villains and the location are SPECIFICALLY chosen to deal with them along with the very POWERFUL heroes that are waiting to fight in those said location... Look at the attack to get gigant and kurogiri, AFO would have KNOWN that they would be well protected however one of the villain state that how is their surprise attack known, heroes that are specifically placed to match the villian HENCE WHY Mt Lady was specifically there where gigant's is locked up think about it and more importantly Momo's quirk HAD broken EVERY aspect of Shonen mang that is gonna be written in the future with the term "OP" broken to no possible way of EVER be able to refer to other powers by how she developed and the future of MHA universe that they are fighting for WILL BE IN DANGER...
I feel like, if AFO did have a kid, he would have multiple kids over the past two centuries in an effort to spread his legacy and create new vessels, kind of like how he kept looking for kids to turn into enemies of the hero society. A similar example in other fiction would be Emperor Palpatine (from Star Wars, naturally) making multiple clones of himself to create a new body to jump in (like AFO is doing with Shigaraki). It wouldn't even be a shock if Deku was at most a grandson or other descendant, like Rey was to Palpatine.
Basically, if Deku was his child, he would likely not be the ONLY one.
I think izuku's dad may be the one who killed Midnight Lady, he hides his face and have a quirk that seems to be breathing fire...

Dabi's quirk is probably a weird stored energy type deal.. what I mean is he can't die by burning cause the more of his body he burns the more of his body will be healed when he is supposed to die. So he won't actually die. Which I feel that orb thing is that part of his quirk turning on its a stored energy type quirk that requires the user to burn themselves to heal. It's always been there but no one knew how it worked because it seems just to out of the ordinary. Heck that's probably how he survived the first time.

I like to believe that instead of All for one being dekus dad rather I think it would make more sense if dekus dad works for all for one, afo said he has friends all over the world and hisashi works abroad so maybe that hints to something.

Also no way dabi is done also no way he survives this. I think dabi is a character that has to die. Not that i dislike him he probably is my favorite character after bakugo just one of those characters that has to go in some epic way.
Two things to talk about here.
First off, I REALLY don't think Dabi has some kind of time bomb quirk, mostly because it doesn't make sense for him to have one. Dabi wouldn't have gotten it from AFO right before the second war because the latter needs to touch a target before giving or taking a quirk. Also, Dabi would have seen what happened to Nagant and applied the old "trust em as far as you can throw them" mentality.
Honestly, getting it when he was first recovered when he was younger makes even less sense mainly because of why he was there. Toya was brought in to be a potential replacement for Shigaraki in case anything happened to him. If Toya was going to be AFO's successor, then AFO would have tried to groom him in the same way he did Tomura; threatening him with a bomb would probably have had the opposite effect. We all saw how that turned out anyway.
Besides, Dabi's mentality and his self-destructive quirk combined are enough of a time bomb. If I had to apply a guess, from what I've read in other comments I do agree that this may have something to do with his ice-resistant body. Dabi has a strong will and grudge, but his body still has limits. It could be what's really kept him alive all this time, since this light appeared just as the hero who cuffed him wondered how he's still surviving after that whole battle. Maybe Shoto's move made something happen to trigger it.
Second, for the All For One Dad theory. I have to be honest, I don't know how much stock I put in that theory, simply because it sounds a little too far-fetched to me. But if Horikoshi is a Star Wars fan, I guess I could see it. Frankly, I'm more invested in the whole 'Midoriya had Decay but AFO took it and gave it to Tenko' theory. That one is pretty juicy and it would be so tragically poetic if it were true.
I think it's actually possible for that being like colder ice so then he would have both sides like shadow that could be Awakening
I do think that AFO being dekus dad would make things a lot harder for the heroes. And it could also be a thing we’re he reveals it and Deku spins it on him saying that he must be pretty disappointed that he turned out this way. Or if he is his dad then maybe he did some to Inko where he could have made her booby trapped. Like I think that with the theory being true there are a multitude of things that could happen to the story to go against Deku, and another thing pilled on to him having to fight Shigaraki.
But if not then I guess it is just focusing on the final fight and ending some character arcs. And there could be something that horikoshi throws in to make the stakes higher for the heroes. Idk.
In my fanfic that a JP lore crossover, where the reader can do what they do in JP. He can fully manipulate DNA basically and heal DNA strands and take a DNA strand from Someone else. Anyway the story is on top of this story. But everything that I’ve made up has been very awesome. With lies, cover ups, confusion. Total surprises coming from outs left field.
And so, I do wanna see a theory become true. But I also wanna see things that are completely surprised, and outa no where.

I have a theory with dabi
Dabi's quirk whilst it has been called cremation due to high temperature flames he generally uses these flames similar to a creature.
He has not had much spotlight and I believe his cremation quirk is evolving to a Phoenix quirk it would make sense especially with how the doctor thought dabi should have died ages ago.
I generally do think this his quirk mivest especially in my heroes one justice 2 is Phoenix related so his quirk may become this and his defeat to shoto may have sparked this.
So All for One gave Dabi a bomb quirk but not anything to help him weaken or negate his Flame quirk... Smh

I don't think the bomb that got nagant was a quirk afo gave her, I think it is the r result of a quirk or quirks possessed by afo because remember he can use 2 quirks at once in a like single mutated quirk
It could be a Deidara thing where he's going to blow himself up to catch the surrounding heroes, and/or he was actually given some quirk during the life saving Nomu procedure. I just hope it's more than AFO discarding the tool now that he's lost and is of no use. Him simply dying would be kinda boring.
As for the other thing, if Deku's dad was AFO, it's not like the generic fire quirk would be any real evidence... it would probably have been some minor quirk from his collection, something decent but not crazy enough that people would pay too much attention to the guy. Who knows if he would even still have it at this point? he's always taking and giving away abilities. It would be different if e.g. the dad had been established from the start to have had one quirk that he could manifest in a couple slightly different ways, and the mom thinking that this was the case - only for us to realize later on that it must have been AFO's multiple quirks.
People really be reaching for this Dad For One theory, Deku's Dad isn't present because All Might needs to slot in as a surrogate smoothly. That's it.
Nomus are people who have been forced past their quirk capacity artificially. A stronger person can have two quirks easy, and we have seen the in between with gigomachia.
I hope the smoke quirk takes a step further and he becomes smoke. So that he can get punched through
AFO develops a link with whoever he gives quirks to, similar to OFA.

The hero society and most IMPORTANTLY Horikoshi have not STILL contemplated the gravity of Momo yaoyorozu's quirk the villain's downfall here as well, look at the previous war, especially the location of the hospital and where the villains are hiding, specific heroes are intentionally placed, we can assume this is cuz of hawk's info and my pint can be proven with Kirishima SPECIFICALLY dealing with the electric villain, and what most people don't realise its NOT just him, Midnight is for crowd control, Cementoss is for long range, Mt lady is for Large villains, they know who to place where...sure in that war are most importantly in this latest one the heroes have to use EVERY available resources,AND THATS MY ENTIRE POINT....The heroes have TOO MUCH resources, whether its raw materials and OR Man power, even in this latest war there are heroes that are involved here that weren't in the previous war, but what about the heroes that are kept in the get go??AFO is seemingly just relying on his and Shika's power to deal with the heroes, however his profile indicate that as a S-class intelligence he SHOULD first consider the quirk that could potentially counter his plans and most importantly his allies and thus deal with them as in example for a few Momo's ,Monomo's Eraser etc and many others ..but he didn't he is seemingly SPECIFICALLY just relying on his and Shika's. Yes i know the hero would win in the end, but its blatantly obvious that there are no stakes in this.. Momo Yaoyorozu quirk development maybe that she needs just a small quantity of food to create HUGE huge raw materials and that too have no serious impact on her needing energy and or health, imagine going into a battle with nothing BUT have everything you need in one person.NO, Momo's quirk broke the universe of MHA and any Shonen manga that is EVER going to be written, she has surpassed the term 'OP" and Horikoshi doesn't realise it..
I think if AFO is Deku's dad itll be him doing it to multiple people that he wanted quirks from, with the fire breathing quote being the tip off for the doctor to steal the quirks from the children. Then it's just a matter of seeing if the quirk turned out right or not. I mean the guy can literally teleport and is supposedly one of the smartest people ever, I'm sure he can juggle a few relationships at a time and indulge in some evil carnage pleasures. If it follows down this path itll be a whole "You took my quirk which made me the perfect vessel for OFA and the pain you be caused os coming back bla bla karma." I dont know. I just dont see it as being the best possible ending for the series and I'm sure we'll get a second year manga spinoff even if it's just a more chill version of MHA.

The identity of Izuku's father certainly feels like something the narrative is treating as plot-relevant. The whole situation feels very much like how Dabi's true identity as Toya Todoroki was treated, which is to say steeped in mystery and intrigue. And yet, I feel like a reveal that AFO is Izuku's father wouldn't fit the story thematically. The "son overcoming the father" thing has felt so unique to Shoto that if the situation was repeated with Izuku and AFO it would diminish the struggle of the Todoroki family. And people have been pushing the theory almost from the beginning so a reveal like that would feel very flat and uninspired. Though honestly, MHA has been showing a decline in its story-telling for some time now so who knows, maybe it is true. If it is, it would diminish the story.
Imagine if deku was the true successor of all for one and since the beginning with the sludge villian was all a test for deku to improve?

I think deku is afos son but his only son. Afo took dekus original quirk (all for one) and placed it in shigaraki. Allowing for there to be two all for one quirks. He later had ujiko make up a reason as to why deku doesn't have a quirk.

The only thing I have to ask regarding Deku is if he had a quirk first wouldn’t that have made him incompatible with the current version of one for all? Didn’t it need to be someone genetically matched without a quirk. We see with O’clock and others when they get their quirk removed there’s still certain aspects of their body and brain that operate like they had it (like if you cut your leg but your brain still thinks it is there) Otherwise I’m still down for the idea

Honestly I think there's a good chance afo is dekus dad because horikoshi has stated that dekus dad will appear in the series and given this being the final arc that makes afo being his dad the easiest way to bring him in to the story at this point
