While I do agree with some of your choices, I couldn’t help but think once you tame a Dino you can customise it’s stats...like when I first got my griffin it had 700stam and 100 speed...now I have it at 3.4k stam...and 300 speed. But it is your opinion and I do agree if you are going by base stats and if you are playing on an unmodded server (I have classic flyers on the one I play)

I was at a place, as a very low, brand new player, that a teen level therezino stood in my way. After dying about a dozen times to its agro range, I decided to look them up. After about 1200-1300 narco berries and 1 1/2 hours of my time, I had my very own therezino. Best move I ever made. This thing is a beast. Loved it so o much, tamed one for my wife, too. Just us on the island. How, Jean Clawd and Claudia kill all our alpha raptors we come across. They'll never get too high levels, I know. But, they'll have a place on my heart for getting me through early levels. I'll add, having the dump attacks of wood in the middle of a fight against several dinos in the swamp really sucks, though. In the wide open, they're beasts.

I only agree with the T-Rex. They are clunky and hard to maneuver and when taking more than one out in a single player scenario they are an absolute pain in the ass.

Also I wanna point out that the therizino can damage stone, pierce through armor, does more damage, and more health than the megatherium. Also the megatherium is really only good for the broodmother when it comes to boss fights
I think the most overrated creatures are Dodos. There is nearly no inexperienced beginner in Ark who does not proud of his first small army made of dodos. And at the moment the player realizes, how easy some carnivores are to tame, quickly follows the proud dilo army

You know that scene at the end of Jurassic Park where the Rex picks the raptor up in its mouth and hurls into the bones? That's an ability I'd like to see given to the Rex in an update. You tap a button and the Rex can pick up certain smaller animals in its mouth (I'd say animals between the size of a human and a parasaur) and hurl it. That would be awesome.
Thyla needs health nerf, rex needs damage buff, spinos movement speed needs nerf, bronto needs 2,500 health, 150 auto territ limit, megalodon needs a tlc, spino needs 800 health, and rex roar needs to be USEFUL same for giga.
I once had a Griffin with 40k hp, which was more than the rexes and wyverns I had at the time. If the dive is used correctly you can very easily outrun wyverns.
HyroHD Yeah I agree it's easy to tame solo, with just some pillars and bear traps, but I wasn't sure if you were relying on a very powerful crossbow to tame them or if you were actually using skill.
Cheese I almost always agree with your vids but the therizino is easy to tame with a stone pillar trap and same with a griffin and I agree with the giga being overrated due to the fact that you can kill him with tons of metal spikes and a assault rifle
Megatherium "outclasses it" to tame it, it's a even bigger pain and you don't walk up to a giant feathered dino with claws that kill rexes and shoot it in the face also theri is multipurpose, and the theri has good stam and is still a good battle and gathering mount, also rex as he said, also he doesn't use some of them to their full extent, and for usefulness in battle, I would say Chalicotherium(but beer)
Benjamin Wolfe you can trap the theriz, that's not the problem. I have boosted taming, consumption, all that jazz. It takes me barely any time to tame anything. But a very very low level therizino took forever to tame, imagine what it must be like to tame one on default settings?
Therizinosaurus is not overrated, it's just the right amount of rated. It fights like a large carnivore, gathers like a specialist herbivore, and use sweet veggie cakes to heal. They have solid movement speed for getting around the map, most wild dinosaurs ignore you while mounted on one, and they look awesome. The fact that they don't have wings is the only thing stopping them from being the best animal in the game.
The Griffin is way faster than a wyvern if you know what you’re doing. It’s speed, size, and maneuverability makes a wyvern killing machine. It’s just that their damage isn’t as good.
5. Therizino is still great in pvp 4. Griffin is great for picking, and getting places way quicker then pteradons, and wyverns 3. Rex great for killing bobs, and taking down bosses 2. Havent used the Griffins or the Reapers, and I wouldnt say the Therizino is overrated (just a pain in the ass to tame), but I COMPLETELY agree with Rexes. Over 1000 hours in the game, I dont even think I EVER wanted to tame a Rex, dont recall ever having one. They seem so lackluster and not nearly as tough as you would think for the size, and to boot, who the hell wants a generic ass Rex in a game where there are SOOOOO many cooler, more unique dinos with more abilities that you could have

the only sky mount that kills you when using it's special ability from g-force damage. Give me a wyvern any day. Sure, it's slower, but it doesn't matter how fast you can run away when you have to keep coming back to try and kill me ;)
Silver Siren or you can get picked off your wyvern. then when you try an parachute you get recked by the dive bomb attack. and a griffin can out maneuver a wyvern any day.
For PVE I can see why it’s a toss up between the Megatherium and Therizinosaurus, but for PVP the Therizinosaurus is way better since it hits through the mount with its C attack, and is faster than the cuddly sloth.

yeah Ran's, but that doesn't make the Giga OVERRATED.... the idea of the counters is that rivals can have a fighting chance against the most powerful creature in ark (I don't play aberration so I wouldn't know if there's something bigger) besides, supposing he's a pve player... you can't say Megatherium is better than Therizino because of a buff that ONLY WORKS WHILE KILLING INSECTS... it's plain stupid.... the Therizino not only serves in battle, but it's also the perfect gathering machine...is the perfect tame for PVE
Wyverns are NOT faster than a Griffin which is kept in perma dive-speed. They're not even close. I don't know how you could possibly think that's true. Also, how can a dino be in desperate need of a nerf in your opinion and also be over rated?
To answer your question: Overrated does not mean that he thinks the dino is bad. It can be overrated but still be OP and in need of a nerf when compared to other mounts. Hope that clears that up for you.
You play on PS4, right? How do you glide on a Snow Owl? I’ve done my maths and there wouldn’t be enough buttons for all the abilities of the snow owl (glide, freeze & thermal vision). I’ve never tried to fly on a Snow Owl, but before taming one I just wanna know how the controls work
Griffin is shit as far as I'm concerned, crap weight, crap stam, crap melee, wyverns are just as easy to get, you don't even need to build a trap. Rex is definitely overrated, I don't even bother Taming them. Just use spinos better all round and can take on bosses. Some people are using baryonx for bosses now too. I'm trying sarco next

Loren Blackledge , Griffin's aint breedable, you could theoretically have a wyvern within 5 days of starting new on a server, get to level 38 to get ptera , (which is easy,) fly straight into crack to get an egg, then into the lava tube under lava bridge to escape. Fly back into crack to get milk, don't even need a ptera with great stamina as you can trap a wyvern in the crack at the same lava tube entrance under the lava bridge. Knock it out with arrows grab the milk, then fly out the other entrance. Fly over some wild Dino's as you escape to divert the wyverns attention,if any are even following you at this point. Most of the time they are not.
Nate Szmara , they are useful for one thing and that's only if you are not doing anything but traveling somewhere. They were something different and fun to fly when they first arrived to the game, but once the novelty of the fast swoop wears off they bring nothing to the game but novelty value. They are good for people that are playing ark zoo tycoon. A wyvern is much more useful in every way and not hard to get. So why waste time on a Griffin. The object of this video is highlighting usefulness or lack of , of Dino's in ark, not how fun they are to play with.

No one: Cheese: I prefer the megatherium because it can harvest chitin and gets a boost from killing bugs also they can kill the broodmother. And the Therazino can only harvest thatch, wood, fibre, berries, keratin, chitin, meat, hide and narcoberries, can kill alpha raotors, alpha carnos, alpha rexes can kill giga in a group can be used to defend your base, raid others, be used a travel mount and most of all kill every island boss.

Kazma :v My griffin has 1400 stam, 7k hp and 200% damage. I can make it from one side of rag to the other in two stops. My 234 wyvern can make it from one end to the other in one stop. Even with the extra stop, the dive speed has me flying at almost twice the speed. I pvp with the griffin all the time. I chased down a wyvern at 800hp, flying upwards while he was flying low in the tree line. Downside is that you might lose your target when flying up but i got lucky. Flew down to gain speed and pulled up to be on top of him and also get 3x damage on my hit. Wasnt even close to being out of stam. Griffins are faster. OP On the flip side to this, if you dont have a good griffin, you will run out of stam and the wyv will catch up to you. Never the less, griffins are much faster. Its about speed potential.

Why they are easy to move. He lies when he uses a spino he uses a 750 and when he uses a rex he uses a 225. The spinos are still clunky in the water.

Doomy McDoomerson t rex had a bit force is 6.5 tons, anything lower it should pick up.
The hurl mechanic wouldn't work. The crab already does that and shit doesn't take fall damage if there's no rider on top of it.

The Giga literally is so annoying to tame. I 100% agree that Gigas are overrated
Thyla needs health nerf, rex needs damage buff, spinos movement speed needs nerf, bronto needs 2,500 health, 150 auto territ limit, megalodon needs a tlc, spino needs 800 health, and rex roar needs to be USEFUL same for giga.

I once had a Griffin with 40k hp, which was more than the rexes and wyverns I had at the time. If the dive is used correctly you can very easily outrun wyverns.

i tamed 2 gigas yesterday by myself with just a mastercraft crossbow lol, its not hard to tame them solo, you dont really need 2 people
HyroHD keyword is mastercraft, trying to tame one at a high level with a normal longneck or crossbow is hell from my experience
Basil John one was 90 and the other 145, it’s not hard if you know what your doing, and I’ve done it with normal longneck before not hard
HyroHD Yeah I agree it's easy to tame solo, with just some pillars and bear traps, but I wasn't sure if you were relying on a very powerful crossbow to tame them or if you were actually using skill.

Megatherium "outclasses it" to tame it, it's a even bigger pain and you don't walk up to a giant feathered dino with claws that kill rexes and shoot it in the face also theri is multipurpose, and the theri has good stam and is still a good battle and gathering mount, also rex as he said, also he doesn't use some of them to their full extent, and for usefulness in battle, I would say Chalicotherium(but beer)

Therizinosaurus is not overrated, it's just the right amount of rated. It fights like a large carnivore, gathers like a specialist herbivore, and use sweet veggie cakes to heal. They have solid movement speed for getting around the map, most wild dinosaurs ignore you while mounted on one, and they look awesome. The fact that they don't have wings is the only thing stopping them from being the best animal in the game.

The Griffin is way faster than a wyvern if you know what you’re doing. It’s speed, size, and maneuverability makes a wyvern killing machine. It’s just that their damage isn’t as good.

Havent used the Griffins or the Reapers, and I wouldnt say the Therizino is overrated (just a pain in the ass to tame), but I COMPLETELY agree with Rexes. Over 1000 hours in the game, I dont even think I EVER wanted to tame a Rex, dont recall ever having one. They seem so lackluster and not nearly as tough as you would think for the size, and to boot, who the hell wants a generic ass Rex in a game where there are SOOOOO many cooler, more unique dinos with more abilities that you could have

For PVE I can see why it’s a toss up between the Megatherium and Therizinosaurus, but for PVP the Therizinosaurus is way better since it hits through the mount with its C attack, and is faster than the cuddly sloth.
I remember the first time i played ark i was building some thatch foundations when a guy on a reaper queen insta killed me from the water. And i was on the island btw.

Wyverns are NOT faster than a Griffin which is kept in perma dive-speed. They're not even close. I don't know how you could possibly think that's true.

Overrated does not mean that he thinks the dino is bad. It can be overrated but still be OP and in need of a nerf when compared to other mounts.

You play on PS4, right? How do you glide on a Snow Owl? I’ve done my maths and there wouldn’t be enough buttons for all the abilities of the snow owl (glide, freeze & thermal vision). I’ve never tried to fly on a Snow Owl, but before taming one I just wanna know how the controls work
Just look down, tilted a bit up while flying. No buttons needed but make sure your not holding anything (gps map etc)

Griffin is shit as far as I'm concerned, crap weight, crap stam, crap melee, wyverns are just as easy to get, you don't even need to build a trap. Rex is definitely overrated, I don't even bother Taming them. Just use spinos better all round and can take on bosses. Some people are using baryonx for bosses now too. I'm trying sarco next

Loren Blackledge , Griffin's aint breedable, you could theoretically have a wyvern within 5 days of starting new on a server, get to level 38 to get ptera , (which is easy,) fly straight into crack to get an egg, then into the lava tube under lava bridge to escape. Fly back into crack to get milk, don't even need a ptera with great stamina as you can trap a wyvern in the crack at the same lava tube entrance under the lava bridge. Knock it out with arrows grab the milk, then fly out the other entrance. Fly over some wild Dino's as you escape to divert the wyverns attention,if any are even following you at this point. Most of the time they are not.
IDK what your smoking Griffins are still very useful they are the fastest dino in the game.
Nate Szmara , they are useful for one thing and that's only if you are not doing anything but traveling somewhere. They were something different and fun to fly when they first arrived to the game, but once the novelty of the fast swoop wears off they bring nothing to the game but novelty value. They are good for people that are playing ark zoo tycoon. A wyvern is much more useful in every way and not hard to get. So why waste time on a Griffin. The object of this video is highlighting usefulness or lack of , of Dino's in ark, not how fun they are to play with.

They are still very good for PVP they are a glass Canon they are aslo not overrated so many ppl say they are useless. They are the only flying tmae that you can shoot off and drive a huge fact that makes them 1 of the best dino in the game especially since they can move like the Tappy. They are most definitely not over rated.

Try to raid a tribe which has your „overtated“ dinos with ur own dinos, but dont use any overrated..... u will loose like a victim :‘D

Kazma :v My griffin has 1400 stam, 7k hp and 200% damage. I can make it from one side of rag to the other in two stops. My 234 wyvern can make it from one end to the other in one stop. Even with the extra stop, the dive speed has me flying at almost twice the speed. I pvp with the griffin all the time. I chased down a wyvern at 800hp, flying upwards while he was flying low in the tree line. Downside is that you might lose your target when flying up but i got lucky. Flew down to gain speed and pulled up to be on top of him and also get 3x damage on my hit. Wasnt even close to being out of stam. Griffins are faster. OP
On the flip side to this, if you dont have a good griffin, you will run out of stam and the wyv will catch up to you. Never the less, griffins are much faster. Its about speed potential.
