I was watching this video playing in the background at work it didn't dawn on me until I saw the gas tank in about busted out laughing. Gorgeous bike, great video.
Agree agree I keep wishing HD get there shit together but they seem to be stuck … I have so many damn cloths w HD on them but I’m sick of the poor performance and lack of detail! Other than the paint jobb
I feel the exact same way. I’m 6 feet tall and Harleys feel like there for guys that are between 5’6” and 5’9”. Exactly why I have a challenger plus they absolutely rip. Ride smoother have better features have better infotainment. And cost way less.
I couldn’t agree more. Wow what a fresh Brise. Rode them all. Road, Street, Ultra etc. 200 miles on the Indian and I was hooked. Just wow. Thanks for the great review.
I really don't know how this works, but I wonder if Harley just decided they didn't want to pay a convenience fee to brembo for branding their brakes Harley. 🤷🏻♂️
+4" which you'll be able to retain your brake cable and clutch cable. Anything taller than the +4" you'll have to replace I believe at least the clutch cable. www.siouxicidechoppers.com/indian-online-store/road-glide-flt-fltrx-gloss-black-66ngh
Had a 2020 bronze dark horse Challenger, all I did was pipes and windshield, had many, many HD baggers, seat and bars are one of the first mods, along with pipes windshield, Indian has longer wheelbase also, waiting to trade my 22 RG Spec for the 2 gen Challenger, for way less than a CVO
I'm not really a big fan of the FL frame touring bikes from Harley. The softails on the other hand are probably the best bikes they make. Which is why I have a lowrider ST. But for two up riding it wasn't big enough which is why I went with the Indian Challenger.
What’s funny is that Indian knocked off Harley when they created the Chieftan and Challenger. When they realized they couldn’t sell the first iteration of the Chieftan then decided to re-design it to look more like the Street Glide, I’m talking almost identical. Harley saw what Indian was doing and said “ya know, that would work on ours too” and which helped create the new SG and RG. Biggest difference is, when you sit on both, the Harley’s fit and finish is FAR more superior than what Polaris can create. That’s why when I was jumping ship from metric bikes last year, I decided to jump on a new Harley SG over the Indian. Every Indian I tested out felt cheap as hell, which is why I was going away from metrics in the first place. Indians need to come a long, LONG way yet.
I agree. Fit and finish is top notch on a Harley. I came off a 2016 Kawasaki Vulcan Vaquero. Plastic everywhere. I had it for 7 years and nothing broke, cracked, or even faded on it. When I washed it, it looked brand new. I've owned a couple Subarus in my day and now a 21' Chevy Colorado LT. Most people complain about the fit and finish on those as well. But yet tons of people buy them. Fit and finish is only a comparison/complaint if you want to make it one. 🤷🏻♂️
@@motorcyclemishifts4640 I too had a Vaquero! A 2018 I bought brand new off the floor. I had it for about 4 years and put about 12k miles on it. The bike wasn’t holding up well, the engine and electronics started to have its problems (even with the Ivan tune), and the body’s plastics were starting to get too noisy. So didn’t really notice the difference between the Harley and Vulcan until I spent time with the Harley and saw just how much better it was built, how much more power it had and how when you knocked on the plastic it didn’t sound like cheap/thin 1970’s fisher price plastic. But, the Vulcan was also 10k cheaper than the Street Glide, giving the classic result of “you get what you pay for”.
Yeah let’s see you can paint it for far less than having to spend at least 15g to have what u get out of the box on a Indian 7g for cam to have the HP/Tq Pipes 1500 Handle bars 1000 Shock rear 1600 Inverted front shocks 1000 Disc/breaks idk 1000 maybe more Ok 11-15g You pay 2-10g more right out of the box more for the MRSP for less of a bike Idk wish HD get there shit together
Everyone knows, they called it the challenger for a reason. And in 2020 everyone who made videos beat it to the ground that it was a copy of the Road Glide. Just a better version of one. 😉
If the Challenger was a copy of the roadglide. Then the new Roadglide is really just a updated Roadglide. Not a copy of an Indian That didn't Exist just a few years ago.
I agree. But let's just for a second live in the land of what ifs, what if the Indian challenger never existed? Would Harley Davidson have changed anything?
You have bmw bagger and the goldwing that looks like Streetglide. All came at same time as Challenger. Competition is good just like Ford versus Chevy & Dodge . Home depot vs Lowe's they all help push each other to get better and give Customers choices. Have a good weekend. Stay safe. Crazy smokey skyline here in the N.E. 😷
I love my lowrider ST. The Softail lineup is probably one of the best feeling V-Twin set ups out there. But when it comes to their touring line they just feel too cramped.
Lol every Indian model is a direct knock off one model of Harley. Pay them engineers to come up with their own ideas. Indian is the Kirkland brand of the MC world just sayn. Glad to see you out riding though keep them miles up. Love that color.
I don't disagree with you. 120 years straight of making Motorcycles. But Harley played to their customers and never changed. Indian came in and showed them the way. Innovate, the world doesn't stop for you (Harley) Keep up.
Don't you mean Polaris is the Kirkland brand of the MC world? After what Polaris did with Victory, I won't ever trust them to stick with a specific brand. Trends change, and people age out. What happens in 20 years when this brand isn't selling as well? Will Polaris try to buy HD and rebrand it too? I'm not a Polaris hater, but all this "Indian copied HD" now it's "HD copied Indian." One brand is 120 years old (continuous production), and the other brand was relaunched by Polaris in 2011 or '12. I guess, at the end of the day, it's all great banter back and forth and stirs the competition in the industry. LOL Ride safe!!!
If you were REALLY unbiased, you would have test road/demo rode a Goldwing, a BMW BMW K 1600 B, a Kawasaki Vaquero, and a Yamaha Star Eluder (other fixed-fairing bikes in the market). 🤪 Ride safe!!! Keep the rubber side down!
I have not test rode a goldwing before, but I have rode my dad's BMW, I have test rode an Eluder, and owned a 2016 Kawasaki Vulcan Vaquero up until last year when I traded it in for a 2022 Harley Davidson Lowrider ST. I loved my Vaquero I just wanted something new. 😜
I only have 1800 miles on it but so far so good. I'm still getting used to the clutch engagement. Coming off a couple of Harley's and Kawasaki's it feels different.
Lmao 😂 RIGHT and Harley still did get the adjustable rear shocks in the computer system … I mean you have to bend down and twist knobs like old school!! Where is the heated and cool seat ? So much lacking than a Indian and all for 43k I mean what a deal!!!!😡. Thanks for the exciting news 😂
All Harley bikes(except livewire) are easily rebuildable for a long time to come. Vic/Ind are nice value bikes but the resale value/parts availability/dealer network just not as good as a harley.
I agree. 1903-2023 120 years and not "much" has changed. You can find parts for just about anything. Indian motorcycle has only been around " continuously" since what 2011 I think? The Indian Challenger has only been a bike since 2020. Then we had a worldwide pandemic and parts have become scarce. My point is Indian has a lot of catching up to do. But a lot of what that CVO has, Indian has on their bike for less than $30k. How much of that tech or new product is going to trickle down to the standard or special models for the everyday consumer?
Watched the CVO release videos and thought the same thing as your video. Great job on the Cycle Fanatix impersonation! lol
Thanks! Lol I'm glad you knew where I was going with it!
Hahahaha love it man you nailed it and I am HD owner but you nail it 100%
Thanks!
I was watching this video playing in the background at work it didn't dawn on me until I saw the gas tank in about busted out laughing. Gorgeous bike, great video.
That's funny! Thanks
But the Harley has 2 high tech features the Indian lacks,a fixed windshield and a seat that will rub thru the paint on the rear fender!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
LOL... gotta give you credit for a funny video. Poking fun at Harley....hahaha
Thanks!
Damn good looking Challenger. Jokes aside you're spot on. I may be switching for my next bike.
Thanks!

Yeah it's getting a little crazy. I wonder how much of the new CVO will trickle down to the "normal" bikes.
@@motorcyclemishifts4640 doesn’t matter I’ve purchased my last hog … thx god I paid off my RG when I’m ready to buy again I’m buying a challenger
