This song is an old and very popular and well known marche for Turkish people. It tells the final battle in İzmir which ended the Turkish War of Independence with the Turkish victory under the commandment of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (he is called as Mustafa Kemal Pasha in the song “pasha” is a kind of military word which means “commander”). The lyrics commemorates the people who sacrified themselves under very difficult conditions to defend Turkey in this war. It is a very very emotional song for all Turkish people. You understood right that the singer salutes empty seats with the names of people died in the war of independence. And he is calling the names saying “Selam olsun” which means “greetings to you”. Thank you so much with your very nice comments and responses and best wishes from Turkey.
The seats are empty because those seats represent the Turkish people who gave their lives for their homeland in the national struggle, and separately on the seats are the names of the Turkish people who gave their lives.
I posti sono vuoti perché quei posti rappresentano il popolo turco che ha dato la vita per la propria patria nella lotta nazionale e separatamente sui sedili sono i nomi del popolo turco w

Atatürk is the most special leader. because it has established a free and independent state together with a poor people. A new language and a new constitution brought about educational reform. It is a leader that all leaders take care of.🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷

@@AVREACTSHOW We Turks are very emotional when we listen to this anthem and we even cry. The biggest desire of the Turk who loves every ancestor is to see the Ataturk even if he is dead.
Goosebumps❤ Love Haluk Levent, a true legend❤ He is not only an incredible artist but also has a humble personality! Helps and gives to the ones who need it the most
Hi nice guy.
The names on the seats.
The names of the heroes of Turkish War of Independence.
It was said to be the composition of İzzeddin Hümayi Elçioğlu, who lived between 1876 and 1950.
Today, we do not have a single note of the anthem from the old manuscript; In the notes printed with the alumirograph technique in the 40s and 50s, the name of the work is not "Izmir" but "The Caucasus Anthem". It was long after that "Izmir" took the place of Caucasus.
At the end of the clip, Haluk is Levent's grandfather (Diyap, son of Süleyman).
In the published information, my grandfather (1893-1963) fought with his three siblings in Çanakkale, Yemen and Sakarya for 14 years. One of the brothers, Gani, was martyred.
The other brother Yunus lived for another 40 years with the bullet in his body.

And more...
And more: Let women have rights to elect and be elected long before Eurpean countries;
Let modern farming and agriculture come to the country; had countless factories built in many fields; built roads and railways; opened schools and universities and sent bright students to foreign countries to get educated in the fields of science, technology, culture and arts, in short every field you may think of.
continuing: He saved a lot of scientists, professors and their families of Jewish descent from the Nazists who were given freedom and happily employed at Turkish universities; had cargo and airplanes of small scale built and sold to other countries. His motto was: "Future lies in the Skies". And his even more known motto was "Peace in the Country, Peace in the World" . Opera houses and modern theaters were opened in his time. Modern laws and legislations were adopted and put in use. Everything changed in the country for the benefit of happier and universally modern people. Today his economic reforms are being studied at several foreign universities. His statue has taken place in many foreign museums as well. We know he was the most oustanding reformist, soldier, politician, humanitarian of the twentieth century. These are the words of the world leaders and not mine. (Check to see plase.)

This is an old march, İzmir Marşı which is about Turkish people winning the War of independence after being occupied by allied forces at the end of World War I, which was marked by liberation of city of İzmir in the end so the march goes : Flowers bloom in the mountains of İzmir, the golden sun shines there, the defeated ennemies run like the wind, long live Mustafa Kemal Paşa (Ataturk) your name will be written on jewel stone..as you guessed those names belong to some war of independence heroes including some very brave women who fought with the army, the picture of the man at the end is Haluk Levent's grandfather who was also a war of independence hero, this is an orchestrated version of the original March, this is one of the major marches Turkish people sing on national days and it's true that everytime i see this performance i have tears in my eyes, thank you for reacting, greetings from Istanbul..😊💖
This song tells about the national struggle led by Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK. And empty seats are reserved for those who put their lives in this struggle. That's why it's so important 🌸
