Amazing, to describe regaining consciousness after a near fatal heart attack and a double bypass as "waking from a good sleep", and so casually. Inspirational, determined, legend.
Saying exploration isn't productive (by which I assume you mean economically productive) is a bit daft. Just think about it for a second and I'm sure you'll realise that yourself. Aside from economic benefit though there is surely something wonderful about the human urge to explore. It's at the heart of everything that's inspiring about humans. We would not be where we are today if people (like Ranulph Fiennes) did not push themsleves to do the impossible, just for the sake of doing it.
Mr. Plumber Facts: - joined SAS and was youngest Captain in the British Army - during serving in Omani Army received the Bravery Medal - writed number of books - his expeditions have raised nearly £15 million for charity I am glad you know, who Terry Fox is. But I believed, that you will notice, what they two have similar. Both has personal experience with cancer. Both has earned money for fight against it by doing (as you say) "useless things". I guess i overestimated your intelligence;-)
Well...if you know how hard it is to do something for others, don't blame anyone for what she/he has done. First, read something about this guy and learn about his life and charity work. If after that you consider that you are better than he is, just then you can judge him.
It is sad that Canadian don't know, who Terry Fox is. Otherwise you would see the connection which i suggested. But never mind... you are right - we will never understand each other. Good luck to you too.
Sorry but it seems to me that you DO look at the world this way. You don't know him, but you judge him. And believe me, there is many places, where charity is needed. Fight again cancer is one of them...
That's great, man! So,you earned some money, now you can spent something for own web page. You know - we live in the internet age;-) Because if one wants to find something about yours innovative company, can find only 3 years old review: "I phoned to ask about their hourly rates and the guy's response was "if you have to ask, then you can't afford us.' Then he hung up on me. I would never conduct business with anyone who treats their customers this way." BTW, fantastic customer services;-)
To your embarrassing comment about lack of progress in Estern Europe. Well, to say true... i don't care about it really, since i live in Slovakia, which is a part of Central Europe. But i hope they are doing well over there. Anyway, i could not influence where i was born. But it's same by me, or you, or other 7 billion people on the Earth.
Well, you have a right on your own opinion, even it's wrong :-) Good luck in judging other millions of people, who are doing useless things (start with Wayne Gretzky and Canadian National Ice Hockey team, then you can choose some singer like Bruce Springsteen or Bono, or judge people which are not alive, like Paul Newman or even Terry Fox... All those people are/was just fame seaking fools (?))
Legend. Straight down the middle. No messing.
