    Hi Laura! Suggestion: A succulent wall frame would look fantastic on the wall to the right of your door entry above your cactus garden! I always love watching you and Hannah put those together! Also, would love to see Greg install that water fountain in a time lapse! Love you!

    One of my very favorite pieces in your new garden is the wind chimes. While you may have had them in Chula Vista, I couldn’t always hear them. Almost every video you post now in this new garden has the beautiful sound of your wind chimes. Doesn’t get any better than that. 😊

    Thank you Laura. I love your pumpkin succulent arrangement.
    I live in Australia so I’ve never seen anything like that before.
    I would love to try and do one. I’m in a subtropical zone and have a small collection of succulents so far.
    I am enjoying your channel so much and really love your attitude to gardening. 🌵🪵🪴🍃

    Loved this segment! I am making my first pumpkin project! Thank you for starting the pumpkin project 10 years ago! I am new to the succulent world! Have been following you since Jan 2022! Learning so much from you! I live in succulent hell (temps in the three digits for weeks)! Doing pretty well for a 80 years old newbie ! Keep up the great work !

    Laura! I worked in the yard last night and I felt like you were with me. Thanks to you, I used at least 3 advices. 1) just get started, you’ll figure it out. 2) colored pots in the garden. 3) the way you hit/press the sides of containers to loosen the plants- that was a huge help! I probably would have struggled to cut the sides. Some of the plants were completely root bound! No dirt , just roots. Thank you 🌸🌵

    I have been doing this since I discovered you on UA-cam. One tip, since I’m in Florida, I have mine on my front porch, HOWEVER, be careful of the sun as it can melt the clue! I came out one afternoon only to find my cuttings on the floor😢

    How fun to learn you were the originator of pumpkin succulents. I've made a few over the years. So much fun! Just loving your new Vista yard.

    I’ve made these for almost ten years after watching your original video. Being in FL though, I use plastic/foam pumpkins as real pumpkins rot really fast here. Sun rose cuttings look beautiful trailing down the sides of the pumpkin 🎃

    Cool to see one of your famous pumpkins being created. When you talked about these in the past I always pictured it as a giant 50 pound pumpkin with succulents growing out of a hole cut in the top and not a cute little pumpkin.

      Hi Laura, thank you for the inspiration 😊. Can I use rooted succulents on making a succulent pumpkin. I only ask because I have a large group and f 2 inch rioted echeveria coming and want to use some for this project. Thank you🌸

    A few years ago I gifted a relative a large white succulent pumpkin. After about 6 months she cut the entire top off and planted it in her yard. The result was a small pumpkin vine with about 10 new pumpkins! Such a bpnus🌵

    Ahhh! I put my succulent topped pumpkins kn my yard and forgot one. It did decompose and the plants established root systems in it lol!
    Cinderella pumpkins are my favorite to use for this application!

And u look like the fairy godmother of all succulents sitting there and spinning out magical stuff. In India we dnt get the bright orange pumpkins but i am going to try it out with d local ones!

    Hi Laura! Do the cuttings have to callus first or can you work with them freshly cut? Maybe you already said within the video but If so, I didn't catch it.

    • @LauraEubanks
      @LauraEubanks  2 роки тому +1

      No need to callous as the glue acts as a bond.

    Hey Laura, I’m a 24 yr old winter hardy succulent designer just starting out over the last two years in maine. I’m just curious from a business standpoint.. how much did you sell these for? Love your work and what you do ❤

    • @LauraEubanks
      @LauraEubanks  2 роки тому +2

      Hi Emma!
      The trick is to score free or low cost plant material and seed pods.
      Keeping your material costs low is the name of the game!
      I believe Mountain Crest Gardens offers mail order pumpkin diy kits.
      Check out their pricing.
      My prices varied dramatically depending on my market and customer.
      I remember getting as much as $25 for the small ones and $50 - $75 for the larger Cinderella’s.
      I charged $25 plus shipping for the mail order kits which included enough cuttings and pods to cover one large pumpkin, moss, small bottle of craft glue and instructions.
      Good luck and have fun😊

    Very temporary arrangement. The pumpkin will rot away in a week or so.

    • @LauraEubanks
      @LauraEubanks  2 роки тому

      Since we apply the miss and plants directly to the top of an uncut pumpkin, the arrangement actually lasts for months indoors away from the elements.

    • @alanhunter2009
      @alanhunter2009 2 роки тому

      @@LauraEubanks O.K. Laura, I didn't know you were going to bring it indoors, but I still think it lasting for months is pushing it a bit.
