I think thats it though, great content!
One thing I've learned from support that is absolutely certain, is the fact that no matter how much you pop off as Moira, people are still gonna be mad at you 😅 The best perk you can have as a support main, has got to be some sort of gas-lightning immunity, aka confidence.
all roles are easy the difference is whether or not you can use your brain. i play supp/dps and placed tank masters 4 on a fresh account for fun after just babysitting my teams. "go here, use this ult as we engage, if we lose one, pop this ult, otherwise hold. no ults here no ults here. dry engage here to bait ults, save all of ours for the end of the clock. lets back up here back up back up behind your tank, okay walk back in focus mercy here mercy mercy mercy." only on dps should you not be making calls like that and instead should be perma taking safe off angles with priority on surviving and treating engagements like chess, and on support the biggest thing you can learn to do is monitor what your dps is actively damaging and lay supportive damage on them in between support shots and focus them instead of your own targets for your own kills.
Every role is easy when you know how to play it and your character. Support just adds the factor of keeping your team alive while trying to dps/stay alive. What I've noticed in matches ( just getting back into it so I don't have a ton of matches under my belt yet) is that people don't seem to know when to flank sometimes so I find myself finding ways to do it no matter what role I am ( usually support but I do get a tank game every once in awhile queuing all roles in open que). Sometimes you've got to get AGGRESIVE!! Or hit them from behind
Lucio is a great hero for this reason: You know if you're doing well it's because you're a good player... 'cuz he's not a very good hero. I'd argue his value goes up in scrim/teamplay but he's tough to do in solo q. Also you've surely seen awkward and ML7 play Ana. You have to be actively glocking kids if you want to win.
As someone who often plays all three roles however is dps main here is what I come by. Tank: puppet to supports a lot. requires highest degree of game sens & strong ults. Highest degree of control in a comp orientated setting Dps: requires highest degree of mechanics and good game sens (mix) but least control. However most oppressive when enabled. Bad ults. Require other ults to combo to be good. Highest degree of control in the game when enabled Support: Requires high degree of game sens and overall most control in the game. Also requires highest degree of discipline. best ults. As a support player if you shot call and make the right swaps you’ll win more often then not. I’ve hit gm in all three roles peaked gm1 on dps
Support is easy when your team have at least half of a brain and can back out of a fight when they realize "Hey, I'm outnumbered and taking too much damage." I'm mostly a flex so as a tank I can realize this sometimes and as a support, the tank can't always move towards you, you gotta get to them sometimes but hey we're human, no one is perfect so a mistake is bound to happen.
12:59 I don’t know the specifics of that game, but I do know that as a Bap main myself you could have done more damage. If you position in a way as Bap where you can see both the enemy team and your tank, you can shoot-heal-shoot-heal, and not lose any heal or DPS output. Most of the games I win on Bap my healing and damage stats are almost the same, (+/-1000). If you can weave damage in you can confirm a lot of the kills your hog couldn’t get on his own. But like I said there is a lot of info missing so that might not have been the problem, I just wanted to point out a common problem I see with new Bap players.
yeah, i realized that you could hold down both buttons and i would shoot basically off cd, but i found it hard to either flick whenever they swapped, or position myself between my tank and the enemy, so i often just picked an off angle to play instead
@@theoryez IMO The hardest part of Bap is optimizing both his heals and DPS. Positioning in such a way that you can do both is essential to effectively playing Bap. It’s good to remember that you can simultaneously off angle, heal, and DPS if the conditions are right. Whether you are at a horizontal off angle at another piece of cover, vertical with high ground, or even just super jumping to shoot over a shield. Off angles and the shoot-heal or shoot-shoot-heal combos are not always mutually exclusive. As for the flicking between heals and dps, it takes some time to learn. Eventually it just becomes a rhythm and feels as natural as just shooting. I have like 200 hours on just Bap though, but it doesn’t take that long to get the patterns down.
Illari is my new support main. Getting to high teirs in ranked is so easy and the healing is so beefy. And the damage is pretty good too. And her alt...god her alt is the BEST ive ever used
i played support before, and most mercy's never hit and most of them basically only get lucky when they are not hit, when the team they have do sometimes have egos, lifeweaver is not easy to understand but when you understand some supports, lifeweaver will be easier to learn, but however season10 was lifeweavers worst luck pretty much, but however that's if you choose healbot mode, if you choose to defend yourself or moira version of lifewever it will be easier to help teh team, heal the team and defend yourself
and i do have tips for you when you play ana, most ana's focus on hitting, and if your other support is hitting just focus on healing, pretend your allies are your targets and pretend your widow
As a genji main I've switched more over to playing mercy a lot bc her movement is so fun and she has lots of reach with her beam. You have to be very cunning and take advantage of her beam staying connected longer than her los with teammates. Her pistol is underrated and I love topping tps when they think a mercy is defenseless. A good portion average players will flame you for maining damage boost, but it still carries. The good ones will want to kiss you with the amount of support you can output as a good mercy. I play on xbox, so I see mercy often but very rarely a good one. PS I don't have to get counterpicked by the whole team when I play mercy instead of genji 😅
As a zen main, lucio is one of those characters who i need to have in my bag of characters i can play at the most basic level but will never put in the time to get actually good on. Lucio existing makes a comp sometimes, and no other character fills his niche, so hes extremely valuable to know the basics on, but beyond that his skill ceiling is so high and i just dont enjoy him enough to ever put real time into him. Also, brig is the counterswap queen.
Brig is a defensive hero (NOT passive!), and her role is to deny space. You can protect your backline, but if your support is like Moira or Kiri, you ‘can’ brawl, or take an off-angle with your DPS. It depends heavily on the enemy team.
Playing as a tank is very exhausting and there is a lot of pressure involved, I went to play as a tank and a match lasted 17 minutes, I have never experienced that in my life, It turned into a huge test of endurance. I could see that the enemy tank was also exhausted. I just wanted that moment to end quickly. Most of the time it was the objective being contested 99 percent both sides
I feel that the main reason positioning is more difficult on Support is that you're easier to punish than other roles, DPS caught out of position is still a DPS. Players tend to forget that Support is more vulnerable and assume they're the better player cause they win fights even in bad positions.
37:33 actually had a rein in a game last night who went into their back line 5 times in a row. I finally had to ask them how many times will they do that before they learn.
In bronze-plat playing with tank as Brig is still viable playstyle. But when you go above that, it's better idea to almost always be "The Protector" of your fellow Ana, Bap etc. because flankers are so prominent at this game.
i went from plat 5 to plat 1 without losing on support then lost my diamond game to a blatant smurf (they had no skins had never played a previous season and was walking through my team like butter), then lost again and again till i deranked to plat 2 and thats where ive been stuck for 2 days
yeah support is the easiest roll until you’re trying to rank up to get out of plat and your dps are god awful and your tank feeds but you have a 60-70% scoped accuracy on ana and average 20k+ heals
Support can be so annoying when some people on ur team are absolute dog BUT support is so rewarding when everything goes good and ur team does well even if you don’t win for me it feels rewarding when u guys actually do good
I love this game so much that when I happened to get lucky enough to get a 7 game win streak that right after, I lost 17 games in a row. And was left in a lower rank than I began in :D
Dude i figured out how to have the most fun with support, and just overwatch in general. I started like a year ago and ever since its been amazing, the best part is its only 3 easy steps. So step one is after ur next comp game, exit out the game (im on console pc may have to adjust a little). Step two go to where you have the game application for pc or the my games and apps section on xbox. And step three, delete the game!!!
As a dps main forced to be a support main, it be like that. I hate playing mercy and life weaver because you have to rely on other's so much. And played solo queue feels impossible sometimes. So I gravitate towards the dps supports.
u saying this like illari and kiriko players can realistically just hit headshots chained at the same pace a blading genji swings while having a gap closer than resets on elimination
@@jermu8706 it doesn't matter that if they can hit consistent headshots. A support shouldn't be doing more DMG than a DPS ult. Should also remind you of support abilities?
bro ur super funny, entertaining, and your editing is amazing. love your content and hope you can continue growing even more soon. u just got a new subscriber
I will say with Illari she gets really old after a while. I used to main her for a good amount of time (I have about 80 hours on her) and around the 50 hour mark I realized how stale her kit is. You pretty much just go on an off angle, set up pylon, shoot, don’t move. It’s the same loop every time because of how her kit is designed. I now just play DPS now because it’s the same experience but with much more impactful damage and my team doesn’t hate me.
That's honestly very similar to what i experienced later on during the challenge. i felt like illari was just overshadowed by bap in nearly every aspect, which is why i leaned more towards playing bap later on. Around the same damage output, better healing output, better utility, and ult is situational, but honestly I prefer window. Not only does bap feel more interactive to play, his kit is just straight up stronger...

It's not her healing output it's her mobility and hoe simple she is she can chase a low HP target for a kill she can peel for her team has good healing numbers it's cause there's not many situations where she's bad outside playing with flyers
Support isn’t meant to be played who you wanna pick support is there to best support there team that means picking the best support for the comp. "go here, use this ult as we engage, if we lose one, pop this ult, otherwise hold. no ults here no ults here. dry engage here to bait ults, save all of ours for the end of the clock. lets back up here back up back up behind your tank, okay walk back in focus mercy here mercy mercy mercy."
only on dps should you not be making calls like that and instead should be perma taking safe off angles with priority on surviving and treating engagements like chess, and on support the biggest thing you can learn to do is monitor what your dps is actively damaging and lay supportive damage on them in between support shots and focus them instead of your own targets for your own kills.
Loved your video, very good storytelling and editing. Your dedication to improving is out of this world. Would love to see your channel grow.
Highest degree of control in a comp orientated setting
Dps: requires highest degree of mechanics and good game sens (mix) but least control. However most oppressive when enabled. Bad ults. Require other ults to combo to be good. Highest degree of control in the game when enabled
Support: Requires high degree of game sens and overall most control in the game. Also requires highest degree of discipline. best ults. As a support player if you shot call and make the right swaps you’ll win more often then not.
I’ve hit gm in all three roles peaked gm1 on dps
Support is easy when your team have at least half of a brain and can back out of a fight when they realize "Hey, I'm outnumbered and taking too much damage."
I'm mostly a flex so as a tank I can realize this sometimes and as a support, the tank can't always move towards you, you gotta get to them sometimes but hey we're human, no one is perfect so a mistake is bound to happen.
With all that being said, I still need to finish watching your awesome video. 🤘
I love the editing style of this video I need to see more (this is a threat)
Your DPS ego shines right through the support heroes you like playing the most hahah
you are the most underrated youtuber I've seen YEARS. my abs hurt from laughing XD keep up the great content!
Such a cool, nice edited video from a small creator. Thank you, algorithm. Good learning process too!
Illari is my new support main. Getting to high teirs in ranked is so easy and the healing is so beefy. And the damage is pretty good too. And her alt...god her alt is the BEST ive ever used
i played support before, and most mercy's never hit and most of them basically only get lucky when they are not hit, when the team they have do sometimes have egos, lifeweaver is not easy to understand but when you understand some supports, lifeweaver will be easier to learn, but however season10 was lifeweavers worst luck pretty much, but however that's if you choose healbot mode, if you choose to defend yourself or moira version of lifewever it will be easier to help teh team, heal the team and defend yourself
but also the higher you go, the more you will stick with heros on supports that are not mercy
and i do have tips for you when you play ana, most ana's focus on hitting, and if your other support is hitting just focus on healing, pretend your allies are your targets and pretend your widow
So his favorite healers are the dps healers that he doesnt need to focus on the healing stand point
ngl, this vid made me want to try the other supports besides mercy and kiri to see how far i can actually get
really well edited and put together my bro
Brig is a defensive hero (NOT passive!), and her role is to deny space. You can protect your backline, but if your support is like Moira or Kiri, you ‘can’ brawl, or take an off-angle with your DPS. It depends heavily on the enemy team.
I liked seeing u get hyped on lucio at like 35:22 doing the little movement very good video dude
7:24 the best mercy describtion ive ever seen
Great editing bro
good editing, actual good player who can comprehend their mistakes, and a voice i can fall asleep to? new sub!
I feel that the main reason positioning is more difficult on Support is that you're easier to punish than other roles, DPS caught out of position is still a DPS.
Players tend to forget that Support is more vulnerable and assume they're the better player cause they win fights even in bad positions.
what makes Mercy so fun is that she's like a bird, you fly everywhere from target to target. Think like a bird, it's funny
27:16 This is how i feel playing mercy when my dps finally hit one single shot after blue bleaming 90% of the game. sooooo satisfying
the 4 loss streak into enemy ragequit on a winning game is the cause of 5 separate 4 week breaks from this game for me
Support can be so annoying when some people on ur team are absolute dog BUT support is so rewarding when everything goes good and ur team does well even if you don’t win for me it feels rewarding when u guys actually do good
8:00
"shit fry"
: Shows the best fries on earth
Yea soggy fries arent even super bad, maybe because im not a picky eater but oh well
I love this game so much that when I happened to get lucky enough to get a 7 game win streak that right after, I lost 17 games in a row. And was left in a lower rank than I began in :D
exactly why i stopped playing support for a while and had fun on tracer, way fun and don’t have to rely too much on team. -ex lucio, mercy main
love the use of the oras surf theme amazing song
17:06 sick LGG2 burn lmao 😂
Dude i figured out how to have the most fun with support, and just overwatch in general. I started like a year ago and ever since its been amazing, the best part is its only 3 easy steps. So step one is after ur next comp game, exit out the game (im on console pc may have to adjust a little). Step two go to where you have the game application for pc or the my games and apps section on xbox. And step three, delete the game!!!
28:56 personally I love being solo ulted if my team can do something.
this is so high quality, didnt expect you to have less than 1k subs when i checked
no matter what i do or how i am trying to learn from my mistakes , at least i know i am going to rot in gold elo hell
3:39 bro let him inner Deku outside
fucking died when you were hyping the echo up just for the teamate to leave lmfaooo
Absolutely BRILLIANT video.
the food comparisons made this video SO GOOD.
No one else would say this so I will. Love the Pokémon X and Y boutique remix
As a dps main forced to be a support main, it be like that. I hate playing mercy and life weaver because you have to rely on other's so much. And played solo queue feels impossible sometimes. So I gravitate towards the dps supports.
You know what’s crazy? Illiari and kiriko do more dmg on headshot then gengi’s dragon blade.
u saying this like illari and kiriko players can realistically just hit headshots chained at the same pace a blading genji swings while having a gap closer than resets on elimination
@@jermu8706 it doesn't matter that if they can hit consistent headshots. A support shouldn't be doing more DMG than a DPS ult. Should also remind you of support abilities?
@@d3falt101 i will not argue over this because the comparison you are making is so lobotomized i wont change your mind anyways
@@jermu8706 You main support right?
@@d3falt101i main hitscan dps, mostly soldier and cassidy
visual edit is crazy, man. good shit
your editing is carrying bro keep it up, you're gonna be well known i promise
Holy insane quality keep up the good work
bro ur super funny, entertaining, and your editing is amazing. love your content and hope you can continue growing even more soon. u just got a new subscriber
Not only does bap feel more interactive to play, his kit is just straight up stronger...
the fact that americans put ketchup w their fries will always baffle me as a dutch person.
dutch or belgian mayonaise is the true path for fry condiments
How about both together?
9:03 This is the most unexpected controversial thing in an overwatch video
Its great to see im not the only one with the dreaded 4th game after a 3 win streak
Hey man I saw your latest video AKA the tank one and I just wanted to say that you are truly underrated, and I hope to see a DPS related vid!
Im eating these analysis up! Great work!
I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers and views. This is a great video! It's well editted and formatted, and more people should recognize your channel.
thanks! glad you enjoyed the video
Actually Moria is pretty good in high elo because of her healing output
It's not her healing output it's her mobility and hoe simple she is she can chase a low HP target for a kill she can peel for her team has good healing numbers it's cause there's not many situations where she's bad outside playing with flyers
i love this video, i had a good laugh and its so relatale as a supp main
The least surprising part of the video was the Fortnite pros being assholes. Enjoyed the video.
42:14 damn bro wants depression
Mmm. Sprite with McDonald's fries is a great combo. I also struggle with ana with the healing/sleep darts especially at range lol.
Support isn’t meant to be played who you wanna pick support is there to best support there team that means picking the best support for the comp. Support is the biggest factor in having a good team comp. Supports will be the first to tell you to switch while not switching themself because they got “good healing”.
great video but fyi dont frontline on brig and play with your tank, its much better to hold down the backline on brig and protect your second support if their playing ana or smth
Hardest part of playinf support is having a second competent support
first vid i’ve seen of ur channel!! vv good and the way u edit ur clips is so satisfying lol keeep it up 🫨🫶
