    Indian passport holders with a USA Green Card or residence visa from the UK or the European Union must apply for an online pre-approved visa-on-arrival to enter the UAE.
    The new regulation has been announced by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs in Dubai and allows a stay of 14 days. An extension of 14 days can be provided one time.
    Before this, Indian travellers who were eligible could obtain a visa on arrival at UAE airports. However, this new regulation now requires eligible Indian travellers to apply online first through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) website: www.gdrfad.gov...
    Online Application Process:
    Visit the GDFRA Website: Create your login for the application portal - smart.gdrfa.go...
    Log in and Apply: Enter the required personal details in the form, attach the required documents, pay the fees (253 Dirham) and submit the application
    The processing time for approval is 48 hours
    When the visa has been approved, it will be sent to your registered email.
    Documents Required:
    A valid passport with a validity of no less than 6 months
    Permanent residency card or visa issued by the USA, or a residence visa issued by the UK or the European Union with a validity of no less than 6 months
    Personal photo with a white background
    Please note that the GDFRA ultimately decides to approve or reject the visa application.

    Hi Aditya, thank you for sharing the information. I’ve a valid B1/B2 visa for USA. I’m planning to travel to Dubai for 13 days. My question is whether I require insurance, and if yes, which one should I get (I’ll be traveling via Turkish airline from Ireland with a layover of about 90 mins at Istanbul). I am quite spectacle if I should apply for the visa beforehand in case of any trouble?

    • @traveldiarieswithadi496
      @traveldiarieswithadi496  Рік тому

      Insurance is not mandatory but highly recommended even it is for a small sum insured amount of $10000. With valid b1/b2 usa visa voa is guaranteed, but Turkish airlines has a history of creating issues so to be on the safer side, please write to the airlines and keep a copy of that mail as a proof so that they can't find any excuses. But voa is definitely possible for Indian passport holders with valid USA visa

    Hi buddy,
    My wife, daughter and I would be traveling to Dubai this month and we all have valid US B1 or B2 Visas with validity of more than 5 years left. We would be Flying through Emirates airlines which will land at T3 in Dubai. I am hoping the process remains the same for us for VoA. Is my understanding correct or do I need to do anything different as we are flying from Ind. Also, will there be any assistance provided at Dubai T3 for VoA by Marhaba?

      Yes. It should be valid for at least 3 month more from your arrival date in Dubai because voa is issued for only 14 days

      Your question is not clear, but i assume you are asking if the usa visa has been used in usa or not for availing this VOA facility in UAE. So the answer is no its not mandatory to be used or stamped in USA..but please make sure it is a valid usa visa for at least next 3 month when you arrive in uae

    • @traveldiarieswithadi496

      Well I have never entered UAE from Abu Airport so can't confirm if they have a separate provision, but I guess being part of UAE the VOA facility should be common across all the airports, if it's acceptable at Dubai then it should be the same in Abu Dhabi as well. You will get to know about this at the airlines check in counter itself before boarding the flight for UAE

    Thanks. Pretty Informative. I have small query here. I'm having an US F1 visa, traveling from US to India and return with layover in Dubai. I have 6-hour and 12-hour layovers in Dubai on the outbound and return journeys, respectively. In both trips, the flights are different and I need to do self transfer in Dubai. Do I need visa on arrival just to collect the baggage and checkin to other airlines or can marhaba handle baggage process and transfer without me stepping outside terminal for immigration?

    • @traveldiarieswithadi496
      @traveldiarieswithadi496  10 місяців тому

      Yes marhabba can handle the baggage trasfer process. You can write to them in advance and check the cost and the process. In that case you may not have to step outside and clear the immigration. However, I would suggest first check the cost because this service is very expensive. Few years back I was returning from kiev via dubai and had to take their service to collect my baggage from Ukraine airlines to fly dubai airlines and they charged pretty hefty amount close to 350-400 uae dirham. The cost of uae voa is less (141 uae dirham), so in my opinion it makes more sense to take VOA and go out collect your baggage and then do an immigration again'. This will save you some cost but if you are ready to spend more money and want travel hassle free, then probably marhabba option will be better
