I bought this and actually like it a lot! However, like you said- the buttons don’t light up - UNLESS you plug in the USB C cable. Is there a way to leave the backlight on ALL THE TIME when the car is in use. I have a really hard time seeing the buttons - especially at night,…….
Great enhancement over the previous version. I am glad that the Frunk open is double press, to avoid any accidental clicks. I wish they had a button for Side mirrors fold.
I think the functions are a waste of time. Example, how often do I want to change the driving mode? Instead, I would like to have functions that I'm likely to want to use when I'm driving, e.g. heating controls, wipers etc.
Seems like you could jig saw the buttons layer and place it someplace else, but you would need the whole layer (battery, cable port, BlueTooth, etc.). Are you familiar with the SEXY buttons from Abstract Ocean (designed to be placed anywhere in the car)

Too bad this won't work on cars that have an aftermarket swivel bracket for the main display. I love having the swivel bracket.
